Am I The Only One? Yucky Puree

I was like that too, especially toward the end of my pureed stage. When I told my NUT that I literally pureed my meat and all else, she was surprised. She said most people admit that they just cook it really tender and chew well but it's a pureed stage for a reason. As a result she moved me up a half week earlier to soft foods than expected. What I did was ate a lot of tilapia (sp) fish (which since it is SO tender esp in how you make it) my NUT agreed that I wouldn't have to puree it; and eggs cooked really soft as well. Be creative [: Congrats on the sleeve and keep rocking it!!!
  3. after the first 7 days post op i had a similar diet plan to the one you're mentioning. I would try something different each day to see how my body would react to it. Obviously I favored some things more than others and stuck with that. If the surgeon okays it then try it and if your body doesn't respond well then take note of that. I wouldn't be afraid to try things, though, esp if your surgeon has suggested it. I had tuna about 10 days post op and fish and liquidy mashed potatoes. I agree you should try to venture and increase your caloric intake, as sometimes that will cause u to lose weight.

    Symptoms Of Leaks?

Oh no! Hope all gets better! [:
  9. Sorry for the delay in response! The heaviest thing I ate was pureed chili or pureed beef stew but without the veggies. I did eat 1 scrambled egg in the morning a Protein shake for midday then a plain nonfat yogurt for lunch then a Protein Shake then pureed beef stew or chili. If I felt as if my stomach couldn't handle the beef stew or chili Id have refried Beans (stay away if gassiness is an issue). I pretty much stuck to the same foods for fear of having stomach pains lol. Also finely chopped tuna with olive oil to moisten it went well for me. Sounds like you're doing great, keep it up!
  10. Walk walk walk! Also remember your body had to lose weight from all of the air and junk they put in your body during surgery. Call your NUT and tell them what you're eating and about your slow loss ( al though I think you're doing ok) maybe they'll make a suggestion and alter your intake a little. Also remember to measure yourself! I hit a stall at 2-3 week mark and I noticed my clothes we're getting looser but I wasn't losing! Have a wonderful weekend and don't let the scale control you!
  11. I was on liquids for the first week then moved to mushy foods but they had to be very light and I had to slowly introduce things into my diet again. Maybe instead of a fried egg try a light scrambled egg. Listen to your sleeve! Maybe it's a little too much if it's spasming. Keep rocking the sleeve!
  12. Amazing! I'm thrilled for your success!
  13. I had my stall two weeks out and I thought I was doing something wrong because I has always heard it would be week 3. The stall lasted about 2-3 weeks. I'm week 6 (jan 31 surgery) now and I broke my stall and have been losing a pound every other day--give or take. I've lost about 35 pounds so far. Talk to your NUT maybe they'll have you up your caloric intake. Also Protein and water! Remember NSVs (non scale victories) like being able to walk further or fitting into a shirt better etc! Also, measure yourself! I wish had I done this because when u aren't losing weight you can be losing inches and I obviously was but don't have a record of it. Lastly don't let the scale control you. Pick a certain day and morning time weigh yourself. Don't become obsessed. Happy Sleeving!
  14. You look beautiful and confident (: way to go.
  15. So true! I was sleeved 1/31 and I wish I would've taken people's advise to measure myself and not to focus on the scale. You look great!
  16. It's like we all have the same thoughts [: Im glad that you're rocking the sleeve!

    Refusing To Eat

Are you hydrated? I didn't eat for three days because I had no desire then when I did I felt sick. It ended up being dehydration. Hope it passes!
  18. First and foremost sweet tea with lemon (im not much of a drinker so i could make it last all day). Also, skipping meals and a quantity eater. And rice was my side for EVERY meal. Was never big on bread but would binge on occasional salt and vinegar chips.
  19. I went through almost the same thing. But hey now you're out and ready to rock your sleeve. Yay (:
  20. My stall began at about 10 days to two weeks out. It lasted about two weeks and I've dropped 7 pounds since I broke it. (: try not to focus on the scale so much. A call to the NUT is good though to make sure you're doing everything you should (:
  21. HAs anyone taken any sort of PMs to help them sleep with a headache or a cold? I'm 5 weeks out and I know I'm to avoid NSAIDs however if I can find a non-NSAID PM, could I take that? Obviously I know the doctors okay is the end all say all I just didn't know if anyone else had experience with this. Thanks! Hope everyone has a spectacular weekend. Ps. I have lost 3 pounds this week after breaking my stall (:
