Hi, I haven't been approved as of date. I am acutally in the process of getting approved. I am going through Bariactrics Specialist of North Carolina in Raleigh. I saw the Nutritionist on this past Saturday (June 11, 2011), I have a Psych appointment, June 15 and 22 and go to Rex on Friday, June 17 for my radiolology, cardio/pulmonary and lab appointments. After that it will be submitted to insurance and if all goes well I should have my lap band by the end of July this year.
A little about me I am 46 years old, with degenerative discs in my lower back, high blood pressure, PCOS and sleep apnea. I have tried many fad diets and actually lost 50 pounds last year just by plainly eating smaller portions. well don't you know I could not substain it. I started drinking beer and sodas again, eating fried foods. I simply became comfortable. I have gotten back on track, started walking and back to smaller portions. Although it's a battle I will keep trying.
