    One Month Post-Surgery

Wonderful progress. You can definetly tell!
  2. Increase your exercise to 5 times a week about 45 minutes.(Walking is the best!) Three days of exercise is not enough.I was banded May 25th. And have lost 15lbs and 5 inches! (Don't forget about inches)My Dr. only required that I go on a liquid diet the day before surgery so only 2 lbs is presurgery weightloss. I also have PCOS so it makes weightloss a little harder. I only eat one type of bread a day, the rest is veggies, dairy and meat. If you lost 2lbs, 2 days ago then thats excellent! You are not going to loose weight fast like someone who has had gastric bypass. 1-2 lbs a week is the goal. Also count your calories and stay between 900-1000cal. Everyone has given you good advice. Work a little harder and report back to us in a few weeks.

    BCBS NC

I got BCBSNC and I didn't have to have 6 months of supervised weight loss. I go to the Dr. alot so all they needed was my weight records for the last 5 years. I did all my testing in 1 week and got approved fast.
  5. I fee your pain! I was banded May 25th and I am hungry alot. I am counting calories and protein and I eat 700-900 cals a day. I am a nurse and work at night and when I work, I am so busy that I don't think about the hunger as much. I get my fill June 30th but am a little optimistic because alot of people say that it takes 2-3 fill before you get to the sweet spot. I am going to hold on. I am down 14lbs since surgery but I am suffering. I am going to see the nutritionist today and hopefully she can shed some light on the situation. Hang in there!
  6. Thats great news! I have my first fill June 30th and can't wait to feel a little restriction. I am in Bandster Hell! I am hungry alot but I am restraining and eating like I am suppose to.

    too much too soon??

I guess every Dr. is different. I just had my 2 week check up on June 2nd and they told me to increase my diet to to regular food with a little more texture and chew well. I have lost 13lbs but noticed since I have increased my diet, I have not lost any weight. Its very discouraging so I have incorporated some solids but eating more soft foods. I get hungry before 4 hrs. but I push through it. I keep focusing on the fact that I will get to the green zone after a couple of fills but I got a couple of months to go. Good Luck and don't give up!
