    October Bandsters!!!

It really does better...you can do it! Day 5 is almost done for me and I'm really not hungry anymore. I still want to eat the things that made me fat...out of habit but not out of hunger. I still don't like the shakes but I have some old stuff to use before I try a different brand. I'm still exhausted though...asleep by 930ish every night. I'm ok with it though it gives me less time to think about eating! I was at the grocery store last night and had a kit kat in my hand ready to buy and I put it down...then this morning I was running late and told my self I was going to stop at Burger King instead of drink my shake. I stepped on the scale and I'm down 6.3 lbs since Monday!!! I skipped Burger King and drank my shake. I've cheated a couple times through out the week but nothing bad and I'm still losing...I had some natural unsalted almonds this afternoon and the other day I had an apple...I need something crunchy. Keep up the great work everyone!!!

    October Bandsters!!!

Same here...the shakes do nothing for me at least it doesn't seem like they do. Taco Johns is my weakness. Any one worried about the weekend? It's easy for me to do well during the week at work but at home I normally snack all day along...so I'll need to keep myself busy this weekend.

    October Bandsters!!!

Yay! Good for you! I'm almost through with day 4 of the pre op diet and today has been the easiest by far. No hunger pains or headaches today...I am however exhausted, wish I could go to sleep as soon as I get home from work but not an option with a 3 year old running around. I'm down 4.4 lbs which is a definite incentive to NOT cheat, as tempting as it is. I just want an apple or something...I'm not even thinking about junk food. I called my Dr. back to ask about sf Jello, pudding, popsicles and she said NO. So 3 shakes and a dinner for me...oh well. Next week is customer service week at work and each day has a theme food (breakfast, chili cook off, grill, sweets day, etc)....I think I better take the entire week off.

    October Bandsters!!!

My journey was pretty quick...had my initial consultation in early July and was approved in August, and surgery is 10/04. I just got my authorization letter from insurance in the mail today and had the hospital call this afternoon to pre-register. I have the seminar and my final visit with the surgeon next Thursday! My pre op diet is 3 shakes and 1 meal and zero snacking...I had to call the nurse today just to make sure on the snacking. I'm starving...the shakes do absolutely nothing for me but I know it will all be worth it. Needless to say I'm not in the best mood, I think I'll just go to bed as soon as my little guy does. BTW...I'm in SD, 29 years old, 5' 4" and 269 lbs. Good luck to all of you! I'm excited for all of us and can't wait to see what our new lives bring us.

    October Bandsters!!!

October 4th for me!! I've been excited the entire time and now that it's only 2 weeks away, I'm super nervous. Started my diet today....3 shakes and a small dinner.
