    SIZE 16-18 JEANS/SHORTS

Hi Jenn! I was just about to give up and put them on ebay, lol. I'd be happy to send them to you! I'm trying to figure out the best way, in a box? Prob have to be in a Pampers box, haha, I always have those on hand. I'll check pm now.
  6. I have some nice bottoms that aren't fitting me anymore, some new with tags. I have 2 pair of white Old Navy shorts, size 16 and 18 petite; brown Gap drawstring waist shorts size 16; size 16 Old Navy jean capris that I might have worn only several times; Size 18 petite Old Navy Camo shorts; size 16 Old Navy camo shorts; New with tags American Eagle jeans size 18 bootcut reg. length; Old navy size 16 jeans short length bootcut (worn once or twice) and a pair of size 18 petite Liz Claiborne olive green khaki crop pants, new with tags. I don't want to sell them, I want to share them with my fellow sisters-of-plication all i ask is help with shipping costs (prob. no more than $10.00), let me know if you are interested! All are in good to new condition.
  7. I agree with you wholeheartedly chowchows! When I was doing research on what kind of WLS would be best for me personally I found a lot of negativity about the plication...and even now when I look at other forums and people are wondering about plication and if its a good option, there's a lot of snark directed at them. I originally wanted the band too but didn't want to deal with the fill/unfill stuff, plus my insurance covered NOTHING obesity related at all...my BMI was 34 (had many co-morbidities though, apnea, high cholesterol, prediabetes) so RnY and the Sleeve seemed too invasive...plication fit the bill for me too. I applaud anyone's choice of surgeries for getting healthier and slimmer...but I don't care to get criticized for mine...if I wanted that I'd call my mother-in-law, lol.

    Mushroom Pizza

I'm going to try this one! Pizza and mushrooms are two of my favorites so this sounds like a winner. Now to find me a BIG Portobello cap, lol.

    Plication Surgery

I did a stall about the same time...then I got disgusted and decided not to get on the scale more than once a week. My weight would fluctuate so much during the course of a day that I found myself checking the scale over and over...so now I let my looser and looser clothes tell me how I'm doing and leave the scale alone. 15 pounds is great, you are doing wonderful!

    To the Emergency room

Wow, what a scary thing to have happen. I hope you are doing better and I don't blame you for being reluctant to have another bariatric procedure done. I did read about another complication (necrosis) that scared me to death two weeks before I had my plication. Just out of curiousity, because I read how you didn't lose weight very well with the plication...did you feel the lack of restriction early on? Anyway, I wish you best of luck and health, Lena.

    JUST A BIG DUMMY!

I did a naughty the other night...one of my kids had a baggie of miniature oreos sitting on the table, and although I'm pretty good these days about not craving things I just had to grab a few. I think if we don't treat ourselves once in while we can feel deprived. That was why I could never stick to a diet, I'd get to feeling deprived and the next thing I knew I was ordering a large pizza and a 2 liter of Coke, haha. I did find these little ice creams (Philly Swirl Sweet Delites) that are yummy and only 14 calories. When I eat one I feel like I'm having a naughty treat, and what's great is that I can even eat two (28 calories!) and be satisfied and guilt free. But don't feel like a dummy for treating yourself! Two Twixes in two months, that is doing excellent...when I want a little treat for myself and get the guilts, I just remember there was a time that I would have eaten WAY more and had a huge Coke to go with it Some other little things I do to keep me from cravings is I buy lots of sugarfree gum in all kinds of flavors like strawberry Shortcake, etc. and also I got those great little packets you put in your bottled Water in yummy flavors (so far my favorite is Hawaiian Punch berry Lemon). I do chug water, I'm guilty to say. I always liked to drink when I ate and it's been really hard to break that habit, I try not to but sometimes I can't help myself and drink a little while eating. I think we are our own worst critic, and we are only human!
  12. I sure am feeling yucky and hungry today, kind of weak and tired. It's been 10 days since my surgery and I'd hoped I'd have bounced back better by now, but my family just all passed around a virus so maybe that's why. I've lost 17 lbs which I'm wondering is too fast, I was prepared to take it slow. But the hardest thing right now is being so hungry. Is anyone else having this problem?
  13. I left the hospital without anyone telling me what to do about the laproscopic incisions dotting my tummy, it's been three days since I got home from TJ and I've only been doing sponge baths and avoiding getting the bandages wet. I've read on other forums to wait till they fall off, is this correct? I'm getting itchy under them and wonder if they should be doctored with more antiseptic and new bandages. And WOO-HOO! It's been almost a week and I'm down 12 lbs! I actually weigh less than my husband for the first time in 7 years!

    Advice about incisions

I did shower at the hospital, but was bundled up again with bandages. Nobody told me what to do with them after I got home...I never saw my coordinator at all the last day, probably because it was a Sunday.
  18. That is so wonderful! I could eat almost a whole large pizza by myself, along with a lot of Coke...I really packed it away too. But then to me food was a great reward, going out to eat was my pick me up....now it will be just a way to fuel myself. congratulations and thanks for sharing!
  19. I got back today from my plication with Dr. Corvala, and I would recommend him as well. The hospital was spotless, I've never seen such a clean hospital. However it was really hard that 80% of the staff spoke no English and my broken Spanish wasn't great either, haha. Another thing that also was hard was the pain management was severely lacking. I have fibromyalgia, so the pain was a double whammy...if I hadn't of brought Percocet and melted it down I'd have gone nuts. I heard a lady groaning loudly in pain outside my room and it turned out it was a Canadian who had the gastric sleeve (not plication). Her sister talked to my mom and she said they weren't managing her pain either. I would also recommend to take a support person along, I don't know what I would have done without my mother there. All in all, I'm glad it's over with, glad I had it done, but boy I'm glad to be home!
  20. Just got home from plication. I feel awful. But so nice to get home to my own bed, bathroom, tv, and family!

    Watch out for vinegar!!

Well 13 pounds is excellent as well in the last ten years since hitting my high weight the most I could lose was 10 pounds before I'd fall and give in to cravings. I'm an emotional eater and when I'm having a bad day I'll load up the kids and go get some comfort at the nearest drive thru...but since my cholesterol is at a mind blowing 700 I decided that I'd have to make some big changes, plication and eating habits being the first. I'm 42 and i have 4 boys (12, 7, 5, and 18 months) and I want to be around for them a loooong time! Thanks for the good wishes! I also wish you continued success, you are on to a great start!

    Watch out for vinegar!!

Just curious FtoP, did you take off 31 pounds in 7 weeks? That's wonderful! My plication is next Thursday...I can't wait to watch the scale go down...I have my protein drinks and Crystal light ready.

    Plication Surgery date April 30th

I think I will try some out now, and I appreciate the recommendations. I am with you on the milk based, mainly as I tend to have lactose problems. Can you buy the Unjury at a store or is something ordered online? I'm finding myself these days having worse food cravings (I'm an emotional eater, have a bad day??? Order pizza!!!!) as I know soon it will be time to put the food pacifier away and work at eating to fuel myself instead.

    Plication Surgery date April 30th

Thanks for the info....I'm going to start packing my bag and getting it ready for the big day :-) hopefully my kids will stay out of it, haha. I sure appreciate your list as I would hate to get there and kick myself for not having what I need. Any recommendations for the protein drinks and broths?
