I was tired of having to shop at specialty stores to find a pair of pants. I wanted to be healthier, but I LOVE food. My fiance and I are foodies and gourmet food is our passion.  I tried so many different diets but just didnt have the self control to stay on them for life.  With the Lap Band, it will force me to behave and not make bad choices.  I am using it as a tool to increase my self control, because who wants to throw up? Not me :)  I just turned 39 and want to continue to prolong my life for myself, my fiance and my career.  I am looking forward to the day when I can shop in any store to find a pair of pants.  Its the little things in life that I am looking forward to overcoming.  The sacrifices of the lap band are high for me considering my friends are all foodies and we belong to so many wine clubs, but the benefits are going to outweight the sacrifices, this I know.  :) I commend each and every person who has the strength to get the lap band---it is not an easy task.
