I began the band journey on February 6, 2008. After injuring myself soon after the surgery and getting into a relationship with a man I married February 2011, I didn't get a fill or follow any of the post-operative program.... until June 14, 2009, I found my right side up again and I've gone forward with a different outlook and different drive. I'm very blessed to even have the band - it's always a learning experience - but I am learning that the band wasn't the magic fat fairy... my determination to be healthy became all the magic I needed.
