About Me
My wife and I had a major curve ball thrown at us last year, we took in three nephews to raise. Our own children are 18 and 12, but the nephews are 2, 4 and 11. This means instead of being 50 when the last kid goes off to college, I will be 60! My father died early than he should have because of being to heavy - and I am heavier than he was. I want to live long enough to see all the kids grow into responsible adults - and still have a good quality of life to spend an active retirement with my beautiful wife. This is why I am getting the sleeve done,
I have been working out 5 days a week including cardio and strength training - problem is the ravenous hunger that comes with the workouts, hopefully the surgery will curtail ghrelin production and the irresistible hunger will stop.
I am not going to scout camp (for the first time ever!) this year with my son because it is "High Adventure" camp - and am disqualified because of my weight. One of my goals is to attend Philmont Scout Camp with my son and later with each nephew - they will not admit anyone with a BMI greater than 30...
