@@ACJordan I went to my post op appt today. Doc says all is good. Had my drain tube taken out. Yay! Asked my dr about the pain and he believes mine was from my drain. I can say I have not had the pain since the drain has been removed but it was only removed today so we will see when I go to lay down. I'm on to soft foods now! So happy! Cream of wheat - really wet. Oatmeal also really wet like you can drink them. Add cinnamon and sweet n low and it tastes pretty good - just the texture is gritty on the cream of wheat but it will help the hunger. It took me an hour to eat a half of a cup. I'm 9 days post op and not able to start puree until after my doc appt next week.Im 2wks post op tomorrow and I can only have Clear Liquids. @@brookebonic Im 11 days post op. Doing fine with liquids but still have pain. Mostly left lower side. Kinda grabs me and takes my breath away sometimes. My post op is Thurs so just going to wait till then to see dr. Other than that and my drain I feel good. The drain should come out Thurs too Yay! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

A sharp pain if trying to sit up, roll over, etc. sometimes takes your breath away and sometimes it seems it takes forever to ease up. My appt is Thurs so Im trying to make it till then. Mine was suppose to be removed 7/6. Which would have made me 3 wks post op. I called my dr and they moved my appt 6/30. I can't wait to get this drain out! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@NewBeginning2016 I hear you! Im so done with the post op diet. Im not hungry but ready for something with a little more flavor. I also love cold Water and would love to just drink it down but can't. I just sip and sip! Will be happy just to start the next phase even if it is puree. @@Moogle I hear you. I'm only 5 days post op but have a drain until July 6th. I'ld feel wonderful if that was gone lol I am also on all Clear Liquids and shakes until July 6th. Just want some other flavor or something. Tired of the sweet shakes but gotta do it. Did it hurt to remove the drain? That is the only pain I seem to have is where the drain is. KS611I also had mine on the 16th and am drinking a protein shake that my surgeon said if that goes well, I will get to go home today as well! Congrats on doing well, it's still kind of surreal to me the thought that it's done and am on "the other side." Do you feel that Yes, I can't believe it's done after all the waiting. Now we can start this new journey! I can't get much down but nothing has come up either. We have to give ourselves time to heal. Do you have a drain? My dr put one in. Not too happy that I have to have it until my post op visit. But he says it's just a precautionary thing. Glad you are doing good. Feels so much better to be in your own home. You will be home soon. My surgery was June 16th. Im still in hospital but going home today. Everything has went well. Just dealing with nausea. I have a drain which I was hoping I wouldn't. My dr recommends I go home with it until my post op visit. I have only had broth and jello and both tasted horrible, but sipping my water.
