Long story short, My tube has came undone from my port twice now. anyone else have this problem?

You will be suprised at how much pain that lil tube will cause! I was. I just pray for you that it only happens once, this will be the only time you will have to deal with it. Yes, please keep me posted, and good luck wed

your very nice, and im glad i could help. thats the only reason I posted what I did. I was in so much pain and got shuffled from doc, to doc, and i knew the whole time it my tubing. Just wanted to be able to help someone else if i could! So im glad i did

I had unbeliveable pain that keept moving around my whole abd. From the very bottom of my belly to the top and sides That lil tube can put you in a great deal of pain! it was a stabbing/pressure type mostly. After my last repair, i havent had any pain and it feels wonderful. Best wishes for you.

And one more thing, he put 3ml back in my band and I felt so much restriction, I thought something was wrong. But come to find out, I never held anything in my band from the beginning, so its actually doing what its supposed to Wishing you the best...

yes, i have the realize band, and its had to be fixed twice

yes and yes. iv had a time with this band. my surgen wanted me to take it out and transfer to a sleeve, but I didn't want the sleeve. If it comes apart for the third time, its just comming out!!!! If I was you, I would also have him to put 2 or 3 ml of saline in the band while he in there, because you will be very sore for a while and will be unable to t=get a fill fpr a while. best of luck to ya..

yes, realize band! sorry this happen to you. Be sure ur surgen puts the tube on the port as tight as it will go, or this will just happen again, like it happen to me. i had mine fixed for the 2nd time 2 1/2 weeks ago and so far so good! good luck to you!!!

I could never tell a diff after having my fills, so it makes me wonder how long the tube was undone before i started feeling the pain! SO I cant answer your question, sorry.

I would say your tube came undone from the port like mine hope you enjoy ur weekend, sorry about ur pain. your doc will order a panel of abd x rays to confirm whats going on. Good luck, keep us posted.

I have had more than one problem with the tube comming apart from the port. There was a recall on the realize bands for this exact reason. Iv talked to lawers, but no one thinks they can help me. Im sure something can be done, right? Its their fault, not mine or the doctors. Just wondering if anyone has to deal with the leagal part of them?

My port did move around alot before my last surgery to fix the tube. He must have seen that it was to, because he moved it and attached it GOOD that time, so good, that I was sore for 6 weeks just at the port site, it was crazy. We go into this surgery (having the band) knowing the risks, but you dont know about the little things that happen. Thats why this is a good site, so ppl can read our crazy stories, lol. I go on the 22nd to have my 2nd repair. He will only put in a new band if the tubing is "broke" off. otherwise, hes just going to re-attach the tube to the port again, pushing it in further this time? If it happens again, im taking it out, a person can only handle so much. Shedding the weight can be so hard, so I dont regret having the band done, I just wish it would stay in place, lol

He wants to go in again and if the tube has broke off, a whole new band, if it jjust came apart again, then reattach it again im ready to have it out, but i have much more weight to lose

Oh yes. The band manufacturer says its not their fault I have "defective" band, they are not paying for it

Pain that moves around, yeah, no one could explain my pain either, cause it keep moving from one area to another. If I were you, I would have them write for you to have a set of X RAYS on your stomach. The tube moves all around and it pokes and scratches my insides and hurts so much. Good Luck!!

I got offended because of the way you made it sound like it was me wanting to sue. Im going with lapband instead of realize. I am in pain, but I need this to help me get rid of the weight. If I take it out, which may later have to be done, it will all have been for nothing!!!!! Due to the problem, it is a faulity band and its the manufactures fault. I think they should pay for the surgery and they dont?

well, thank you for understanding some of the other ppl on here thinks im a bad person for turing to the courts for help. if it was a risk related to the band like were told, it that would be one thing, but this is totaly dif.

Y ou are right, thats what im getting at. I knew the risks, but this is the manufacturer fault!!! They should pay to fix it, this will be my 2nd repair. Im hoping to get a new band altogether cause this one has came apart from the port twice now. I think a new one is needed. They even recalled some of the bands for this reason, yet they still say its not their place to pay for the surgery and new band! Iv never even talked to a lawer before. I feel strong about this and people can think im being a brat all they want. All i want is for them to pick up the cost because IT IS due to a faulty.band

Im not JUST wanting to sue. Why would I need to sue you asked, well, here is why.. My band brand was recalled because the tube came apart from the port very easy. Well, that is exactly what has happend to me, not once, but twice now. We have contacted the manufacturer, and they dont feel its their fault and wont pay for my next surgery! This whole time, iv been in severe pain because of the pain the tube is causing in my stomach.I knew the risks of the band. This is a diff problem. So im not part of your "society" who just want to sue for the heck of it. I think they should pay for my repairs and they dont, so im taking it to the next step!!!

I am in serious pain, severe as a matter of fact! Im not one who would just sue. This is a manufacturer problem, and they dont want to pay for the repair, and this will be my 2nd repair!!! You have no clue what iv been thru, the pain, the job loss, not being able to play with my kids... I knew the risks. This is a faulty band, one that has been recalled for the exact reason thats causing my problems. So im not out to sue for the heck of it. You may want think before you type!
