Lapband fill today they put 5 cc

fills are tricky all of mine i did not feal anything right away. after a few day i would have restriction. some say this is normal. i started with 3cc in my band at surgery. had .5cc until i was suppose to have 6cc. still hungry after a week or two. So the doc took out all the fluid out of my band to see how much was actually in my band. he only took out 5cc. WTF well he said he has heard there is some time an evaporation of fluid at times. so he put in an additional full cc making a total of 6.5cc. i was not able to eat anything more than cotage cheese. went back in a week and he took out .5cc total 6cc. two weeks later restriction eventually lessoned and he put back .25cc. 6.25total. Had good restriction after that. two weeks later flew from san antonio to tampa for a week. during this week had no problem eating just about anything. could even eat almost a whole 12oz ribeye. Got on the plane came back home and now have so much restriction that some food i get to see again BP. Trying to hold out due also starting my cycle. Harmones play a part in restriction too. Vomiting Hell

Vomiting and Productive Burping as some call it is completely different thing. In your pouch you dont have stomach acid and you will only bring back what you have ate. Vomiting will be tremendously painful what ever comes out of your stomach will have to pass through the band area and out of your throat. You will burning from the stomach acid. When you have both happen you will know the difference. When food blocks the band you will have BP. Due to the band being to tight, not chewing food enough, eating to fast, and other reasons. My band changes when I am on my cycle. And other things cause the band to change. My last fill was .25cc 3wees ago. Making a total of 6.25cc in my band. The first week I had good restriction. The second week I flew from San Antonio to Tampa and stayed there a week. I was able to eat anything, almost ate a 12oz steak with no full fealing. Flew home last Wednesday and started my cycle and now having issues eating cotage cheese. What's the deal. Going to try to see if it goes away when my visitor goes away. NOTE: night cough and not being able to swollow Water are sighns of slips. If persist see your doc. PaulaSA 230/181/150

    PB tighten band?

BP is the main drawback that I have about the band. My experience occures when I wait to long to eat and then rush the first couple of bites. My DOC after a BP episode to take it easy for the rest of the day and then take it slow small bites and CHEW CHEW CHEW. Dont drink anything when you feel this start to happen it surely will make it occure. The act of the BP causes irritation and some swelling at the band area. So, that is why some say to back on liquids. PaulaSA

    WINE>> WINE WINE

I was banded almost a year. Every so often I have a margarita or even a beer. Draw back is that alcohol has empty calories. Also, if you have been banded awhile and have not drank alcohol in a while and have lost weight you could have an unfamiliar reaction. Take it slow. PaulaSA
  8. First of all the one thing i would have to say is this process is not designed to be a super fast, effortless, non commital type of step to take. Heard this alot it is a "tool" for you to use. It will not do it for you with out hard work. There are going to be times that you are going to wish that "I wish I never did this", And then you wake up look in the mirror and take it all back. Follow what your physician advises and take what other people say as advisements and keep your head up and keep going. paulaSA June 30, 2010-surgery date 230lbs June 9th, 2011-181lbs/6.25 cc
