Mine loves to rumble and I am also almost 9 months out. It seems to do it more when on liquids after a fill.

OMG, That is a lot of pressure for only 3 weeks out! I would take all the advice above, I too would be careful with the veggies. I have problems with lettuce, broccoli and I am almost 9 months out from surgery.

Help! Going In For A Third Surgery For A Flipped Port!!!!
marylmcd54 replied to alexandra_rose's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Oh my... guess this just makes me me more nervous...I have appointment in an hour with my surgeon. I went on Thursday and the two nurses could not find my port to give me a fill. They stuck me about 15 times.. I am hoping they did not pierce my tubing... My first fill was a nightmare, but I have had several since and they were fine. I am really hoping the Dr can find the port..I can't feel it either! I love my band and I am almost at the right amount of liquid and don't want to lose this restriction!! Thanks for letting me vent and posting your issues so I know this could be on going problem. -
Had a Dr. appointment this morning and nurses could not find my port to give me a fill. I have to go back on Tuesday to see the surgeon and if he can not do it then I need to go to the hospital for fluro fill. I love my band and just needed a little fill so I am venting sorry. I also want to update my ticker so need to click on it I guess oh I am down 60 pounds since July 25 2012!

Good luck tomorrow! So you started the process in January and wow March surgery? I started November 2010 and did not have my surgery till July 25! Just glad it is done! Let us know how you are doing later in the week!
-
Why are you afraid to eat? Worried about getting stuck or about gaining weight? If the later, track what your eating and choose the right protein. How long ago did you have surgery?
-
I too have hit a plateau..also. ugh keep playing with the same 3 pounds. I am not eating anymore than what I have been, and doing my exercise 3-4 times a week. I had surgery in July so almost 8 months out now. I weighed Saturday and was up 1.8 and did a 5k Saturday, wieghed this morning and was up 2 pounds! I am so down on myself and shouldn't be..I am not eating anything but protein and veggies, very few carbs. So I feel your pain!

You def. need your protein and to watch the sodium. Those ww meals have way too much sodium, I have not even tried to eat a ww meal since my surgery July 25 2011. I think it would be too much food and sodium for me. Here is an example of one of my days. early- protein shake b- 1c nonfat plain yogurt flavored, 1/4 c bare naked granola ( i buy the 32oz nonfat plan store brand and add 1 package of sugarfree pudding to it yummy) lunch- 1 can of tuna or chicken with light mayo -sliced tomatoes, cellery stix with 1 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter dinner- 3 oz of meat, chicken, beef or pork.1/2 sweet potato night snack- 100 calorie pack of almonds ( I like to crunch lol) and lots of water, decaf tea and decaf coffee.

Congrats! I hope your pain doesn't last long. The weightloss was a very good reward! I have my first 5k this weekend and know I can finish it..just hoping the temp will be at least 50 and 40's. I do not do well in the cold. My overall goal is to be prepared to beat my brother and sister in a 5k in May! Once this one is done, I am signing up for one in April.

How Often Do You Weigh Yourself?
marylmcd54 replied to Sazparella's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have been weighing myself on Saturday mornings, but lately,if I don't like the weight I do it again in a few days. I played with the same 2 pounds for 6 weeks and had a fill 2 weeks ago. I was down last week, up on Saturday .6 but down this morning 1.6. I don't want to go nuts weighing but .. you know its hard. -
I am still in 1x...but getting there... can't wait to buy a Xlarge lol

My All U Can Eat Pancake Experience...
marylmcd54 replied to marfar7's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I used to love eating pancakes...and waffles.. Instant pain now.. I have even tried a waffle made real thin and crispy..did that today and it still hurt a litte. NO more for me. -
Invest in a good digital scale. Then try to place in the same spot each time. I weigh only on Saturday's except when I know I am constipated and know it will be up. I'll wait then to weigh after I know I am good. lol I know my scale does not match the dr and know it is about 2 pounds lower

yes chest pain and it makes me short of breath... whatever I am eating at that point the dogs get since either I am full or it is doesn't agree with my band.
