Yes, I had my surgery done May 3 in Tijuana. My experience was great. Dr. Kelly is an amazing doctor. Tips well depends on what topic, however, my tip for a decision to have surgery is that if you have done your research and feel this is the right decision for you then don't hesitate, go for it!! I'm very early on in my journey, bu, I think this may be the best decision I have made for me yet!

Nichelle replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
.........SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Nichelle699...........273....................261.............229............32.......... I am going to start my race today May 8; that gives me 8 weeks. I just had surgery so I feel I should have some good weight loss in the begining. I am thinking 4lbs a week isn't a bad goal, what do you think? I guess go big and strive hard, that's all I can do. -
10 days post up! Hungry as heck!
Nichelle replied to happy2behere's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am so glad someone posted something about this. I am 5 days post op myself and have the same rumbling feelings. It feels like before, when I was hungry how my stomach would growl. So I have felt or my mind has been telling me that I must be hungry. That is the awful feeling I have had since I got out of the hospital the feeling of hunger. I am currently on an acid reducer the doctor prescribe, but I will try a gas-x again and see if that relieves this odd feeling I've been having. Just glad to know I'm not alone. -
What has been the most shocking comment about the sleeve at any stage (pre-op, post-op) or about your weight loss?

I've heard some awful things and some great things about my decision to have surgery. I personally have kept this as quiet as possible from most; just personally don't want to hear their opinions. I decided to have my surgery in Mexico and I feel as if those of us that chose to have it out of the country get a full helping of very discourging words. The worst comment I can remember came from my own mother, of course I'm sure she meant it from the concern in her heart, but it still hurt. She said "When they ship your body back to me would you prefer to be buried or cremated." Since I have come back alive she only has new grips about it, yet I just believe the ones that love us the most can hurt us the most. I made this decision for myself and am grateful to have so many of you to help me through it. Thank You -
Calling all May Sleevers!

One week and the month of May is here!!! Our new life is going to begin so soon. One week til my surgery and I'm excited, nervous, anxious, overwhelmed, and simply happy all at the same time if that's possible. I start my 5 day pre op liquid diet tomorrow, blah not excited. I am just going to readily assure myself that it will all pay off soon. To all May sleevers best of luck with the nerves, pre op diets, and surgeries. To getting slimmer this summer!! -
Amazing! Congratulations. I'm 23 as well and my mom has all the same fears for me too. I've done all the research so I knew I was going to be able to be up and moving after surgery, but she still has doubts about me being able to walk so soon after. Thanks for sharing your good news. I'm so excited, yet nervous. My date is May 3, approaching fast.

Yeah for May Sleevers!!! I am having my surgery on May 3 with Dr. Ramos Kelly. So very excited, yet so very nervous. I am so glad I can come here and read everyone's blogs. It is so beneficial in knowing what is to come and how some of us are going to get through the next few difficult hurdles. Congratulations to all my fellow May sleevers on your dates. I wish you all the best and I will see you on the other side of this battle soon!! :-)
