I found out FDA approved for BMI of 30 to 34 and I was desparate. I have tried Weight Watchers, Metabolic Research, liquid diets, etc. I just kept gaining about 5 lbs per year until I had gained 50 lbs of extra weight. I fear in 10 year I will have another 50 lbs gained. I have so many people tell me I am not big enough for the surgery and that I am taking a very drastic measure. I should be able to do this on my own but I cannot take another 20 lbs loss one year and a 24 lb gain the next. I am yo-yoing out of control. My surgery is 6/16/11 and I am nervous but feel much better reading the blogs that are out on this website. I excited but nervous. Prayer gets me through.
