Hungry All The Time After Gastric Sleeve Surgery
jayzer posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I question why I am so hungry all the time. I still graze through the day needing something to eat an hour after I finish a meal. Maybe I am not eatting enough at meals. And almost 2 months out and water still doesn't go down great -
I have these cramps that come and go on my left side. I can't figure out what could be going on but it is very uncomfortable and seems like it is getting worse. My Dr. says he doen't know what it could be and will probably have me take some tests. I was sleeved 7 mo. ago and just started this last month. Has anyone experienced this?

I am being sleeved tommorow and I am not afraid of the surgery but starting to fret over the loss of my social life. Most always friend get togethers are over food and alcohol or dinning out.. My husband and I are weekend social drinkers, we have a boat and drinks throughout the day have become a norm. Its a good thing that I am 53 for I see it would be more difficult as a young woman in her 20's in todays society. We like to travel and go to places that are all inclusive but it looks like that would be a waste of money. Please help me with some tips on how to drink and eat sleeved yet still be safe.. I know it will be several months before I will even begin to experiment but If youve had similar experiences I wold like to hear from you.

Everyone seems so organized as to food plans etc. I am a very unorganized person who eats most meals out and has a tough time preplanning meals. I'm sure that is why I have always been unsucessful with most diets. I am worried that I will have trouble planning and preparing meals as well as keeping on top of my vitamins. Anyone got some helpful tips

Thanks for the tips! I love cottage cheese so that will work for my lunch.

I am to be sleeved in Sept. but I am getting so anxsious that I am considering changing to the band. My husband is neutral an is supporting what ever I do, but my sisters and my kids are not on board at all, My one sister is very informed in health matters and is sort of holistic and not always trusting of Drs, my kids tell me it is a cop out and why would I take such a risk. This just adds on to the anxiety I have about the surgery and the life style change. Can others relate to this situation and help put my mind to ease

What is the connection with the gall blader and WLS. It seems like alot of people have it removed,

Thanks for all the good advise. I have done a lot of research on both the band and sleeve and was concerned about the poor results with the band. I am going to keep my surgery date for the sleeve and pray that all goes well. It sure helps to have some support out there.

Anyone out there have Empire, and what was your experience with payment. I have been approved but not sure of any hidden costs.

Thanks for the support. Reading that many of you had the same behaviors but were able to go on and complete the pre-opt without set backs is comforting

Help, I;m struggling with wanting to eat all my favorite foods prior to surgery. I know i should be preparing for pre-op but that little devil in my head says go ahead eat all those things that you won't be able to eat after surgery. Anyone have some good advise to help me get back in control.
