THE MORE I TRY TO EAT RIGHT

My husband and I are going through some of this ourselves. He is extremely jealous of my success only because he loved me large or small and he is afraid I will leave if I get smaller. (he has been left in the past-by others) reassure him if that is any problem and the take care of yourself....keep on trucking on loosing and doing this for you.
  4. I love a meatball recipe I found and adapted after surgery. Kittnecals italian melt in your mouth meatballs. You can find it at food.com but I changed the breadcrumbs to porkrines and just crushed them like you would bread and used the same amount. I also found a spaghetti sauce that was all natural and no sugar at HEB Grocery store that was awesome!!! The meatballs are awesome with or without a sauce. I tried them baked and in sauce.

I cried at the supermarket today

Yes I think that your hormones are working overtime right now and you and your husband should except alot more of that for awhile....I will tell you I stayed on broth, sugar free popsicles, and Jello for the 1st couple of weeks...when you start getting HUNGRY inbetween meals then got to the cream soups and yogurts. I will just tell you that my doctor warned me about the hair loss issue and I thought I would be prepared but I so wasnt...a friend that had chemo treatments told me to do this and it worked wonders....get some ginger root from the grocery store and throw in the blender then rub in your scalp...it will tingle and this is good then wash hair as usual...you only have to leave it in for 5 minutes but I have left on for much longer with no problems. Stay away from anything that has alot of carbs but at first eat what you can and eating slow is one of the hardest things you will ever do or atleast it was for me. get out your most beautiful saucer and buy a baby fork and spoon...this will help you take smaller bites. The thing that helped me later on was using lots of herbs adn the n trying to taste each one with each bite. You won't eat like you used to ever again and I knew that going in, but I was ready to stop at whataburger on my way home from the hospital just because and the realization kicked in I'm not even hungry whats wrong with me...lol
  6. I am soo so sorry to here you are feeling bad. What kind of medication did they give you? I had a qball which dripped lidocaine on the stomach cut for the 1st week. It was better for my healing than giving pain medication they said and I feel they were right cause all kinds of smells that shouldn't bother you made me sick at 1st. Get up and walk as much as possible it really does help you feel better just don't go during the nurses dinner time or they will be cleaning up after your every step...lol

    Official: FitBit Thread

why not just register on fit a day it keeps track of everything from calories from exercise to food intake
  8. Lunges and squats are really good with weights to tone the muscles. I also like working out on the Ab coaster but I work out on one at the gym I go to

    Hospital Stay

I know every doctor handles things differently, but when I had the vertical sleeve I stayed for 3 days on doctors orders. He kept me and I walked the ward for three days...he made sure I had no swallowing problems and that there were no leaks with a swallow test before I was able to leave the hospital and instead of having pain meds in the hospital I had the qball which was a ball filled with lidocaine that dripped on the incision on my stomach that went home with me and once it was deflated I just pulled it out.....didn't hurt at all. I had the best doctor ever!!!!
  10. I have been heavy all my life but when I hit 30 my PCOS went crazy and I couldn't loose weight drinking water and eating air as my diabetic doctor so bluntly put it when he got my tests back. I finally after ever test that could be done decided to have the VSG. Since the surgery I lost weight at very effective rate and when I lost my 1st 31 lbs. I was so over joyed I could have screamed since that is the most I have ever lost!!! I am 8 months out now and have slowed in my weight loss but atleast I am still loosing.
  11. I am 7 months out and consistently loosing a couple of pounds a week, working out daily and feeling great but what can I do to up the weight loss. I am SICK of protein....I don't crave carbs but by the time I eat protein I don't have room for anything else.

    PCOS

Hi I am only three weeks out from the sleeve surgery, but all the things my doctor told me about your body resetting itself is true...I have not only felt differences with my body I can tell things are changing...I was diabetic and had htn along with the PCOS, the diabetes and htn are gone and things are still changing for me so hang in there I have a very good outcome already and I think with great certainty that I will not have this issue in atleast in the intensity that I have had in the near future....Good Luck!!!
  13. Hi, first I am computer illiterate so I hope I made it to the correct spot....lol...I am 3 weeks out from Gastric Sleeve Surgery and had Dr. Duperier take care of my surgery and the after surgery stuff. Every thing has been going great other than having abdominal spams which I hope stop very soon...they really stink....I have lost 30 lbs. so far and can't wait to get past where I am at now.
  14. Hi just to let you know I am about 15 days out and you should know it is normal to feel hungry. This is probably the only thing I wasn't prepaired for and thanks to a nurse at the hospital that had the surgery she let me know that was very normal and that she ate the cream soups to help with that and it really did help. It calms your stomach so that you don't feel starving.
