So extremely happy I found this post. Since February 23 I have been miserable I have thrown up on anything I eat everyday, even on liquids! And I mean this is within seconds or minutes of eating it. I only have about 3.25cc max in my band and thought it would get better. Well its has not I have developed what I believe to be acid reflux (waking up in the middle of the night choking on acid) and now my throat is irrated and burns with food and drinks. I tired I just want to have a decent meal with out running to the restroom. It's tiresome and embrassing as well. I love when I got my band and even with my first fill I could eat anything but measured/weighed my food, used MFP, and exercised 5-6 days a week, sure sometimes I was hungry, but I rather live that why then the current. I don't feel like a normal human being, I haven't had an entire meal since February or exercised since March due lack of energy. I would have never thought I could experience this off a total of 3cc's (3 fills). Finally made an appointment for Monday for a unfill. I can't live like this.

I can relate to this post and thank you for posting! I got my band in August 2011 got one fill and went for a second fill a few weeks later and my doctor could not access my port, come to find out port flipped had another surgery to repair in November. Got a fill in January everything went fine. I got another fill late part of February and had to go back 2 days later for a unfill because I could not keep anything down. Since then I have been miserable. When I eat (with the exception of a couple times) my food comes back up immediately (within seconds or minutes) this include some drinks as well. I have a couple of good days where there was no sliming, throwing up, productive burping or whatever you want to call it but for the most part everday multiple times a day. I have developed what I believe to be acid reflux, I wake up in the middle of the night choking on gastric juices (that taste horrible) and my throat is irriated. I only have maybe 3cc in my band (probably less with unfill) so I thought it would get better. It's so embrassing and tiresome. Now here I am 3 months later and its not, I can't not take it anymore I have a appoinment to get a unfill and discuss this reflux. While I am extremely happy for my weight loss, some days I regret the lapband because of this. I liked it when I had no problems with any foods and I was using MFP, measuring/weighing foods, and exercising with the assistance of my band. Emotionally I am all over the place I just want to work with my band and fill like a normal human being!!!

HELLO EVERYONE, It has been a while since I have been here. How is everyone doing? Let me give you guys a little update......... I am all over the place I don't know how I feel about the lapband anymore, now don't get me wrong I grateful and so happy for the weight loss. But I am miserable. In November had flipped port and had to get that repaired............February 21 got a .5cc fill and had to got back February 23 for a .25cc unfill since then I have been miserable. Almost any thing I put in my mouth I spit/throw up including beverages. I think I have delievered acid reflux. I don't feel normal and it becoming embrassing to be around people. I think I only have about 2cc in my band. I am going to schedule an appointment to go discuss this with my doc and probably get a unfill to see if it makes me feel better. Im ranting, Im emotional, Im confused, Im.............................

Hey A11er's, I'm with GG lets gets some updates. My weigh loss has slowed since the later part of January but is do to my own fault. I am not as commited to exercise as I was before and not making as healthy choices as I was before. It started off with a friends party and a weekend getaway the first and second weekend of February and I just had not gotten back to my previous regimen. I will not say that I am doing too poorly, but could definately be doing better. This year had already been stressful........with school, working full-time, and lets not forget single motherhood. Also I had a fill .5cc on 2/21 and actually had to go 2 days later for a slight .25cc unfill, and I still dislike the way this feels. I spit/throw up just about everyday. I seem to feel a difference yesterday, in a good way. This last fill have gotten me a little fearful of getting fills anytime soon. I am on spring break next week and going to Las Vegas.........YAY! When I come back I am getting back to it!

Thank you everyone for your responses! I get many comments from co-workers about my loss and when I get home from work I lose the clothes look in the mirror and think to myself what the heck are they talking about. I will admit that I have bought smaller clothes and the scale is continuously going down, but in the mirror (naked)..............whoa! A different story. As some have posted maybe my mind just needs to catch up with my body. Everyone be blessed and best wishes on your individual journeys.

I am 72 pounds down and when I look in the mirror all I see is a thinner face. I want to see a difference in the body as well........is this a mental thing?

Omg! I can slightly see my collarbone. Who would have thought I had a pair.........lol! Also just commited to a friend a trip to a Jamaica in August and I want to wear a swimsuit (a one piece of course with a cute cover skirt) got to stay focus and get extra sexy......lol! Have a great day everyone.

I agree GG the picking was slim when I went browsing recently. And Mr.Bob I think you are doing great, I have no idea what your doctor might have been thinking, keep up the good work love . I hope all is well with your other issue.

Hi Ms. GG, Missed reading your encouraging posts. Let me tell you.........I have been trying to hold on to my clothes for two reason 1). I can't really afford it. 2.) I don't want to buy much and then have to buy smaller sizes in another few weeks. My old cloths started to look ridiculous on me and I started feeling uncomfortable wearing them so I bought 2 pair of jeans and 3 shirts for starters. Also at work my co-workers talked about me needing to buy new work uniforms that I was shamed so I then had to purchase 3 pairs of pants and 2 shirts for work. I think I am going to start looking in resales shops for the first time in my life, because I see now that this can/will get expensive. I have now put my old clothes that are extremely too big in what me and my kids call the donation bag to give away.

Hi Everyone~ Hope you are doing well. It's been a minute for me..........update. I have been doing ok. I went for a fill on Tuesday of this week and ended up have to go back in Thursday for a unfill. To be honest I don't like the way this fill feels, I don't like feeling my food go down or not being able to gulp water. So far I have not been able to eat much of anything and most of what I eat/drink comes back up immediately. I want to eat I am not one of those persons that wants to be super tight. I am going to wait until next week and see how it feels (I hope things lossen up in there). It will be a while before I get a fill again, I hate this feeling it had me in tears Wednesday thinking what did I do to myself.

Hey Bear, I know some people on here have much success without exercise, but I can say that I am not one of them. I have exercised since my doctor gave me the clearance. There has been 2 times when I have stopped for a two week period (1st when I had surgery for my flipped port and 2nd just this month when I got a cold and did not feel up to it) and I saw the difference. I would not lose or I would gain and lose the same couple of pounds. I just started back exercising Monday of this week from my cold and had a loss. I'm sorry I said all that to say maybe try gradually added exercise to your routine. I think it is great that you have lost 23 pounds, you are 23 pounds lighter.

I tried all the flavors of the RTD isopure and they all had a horrible after taste (chalky). While the protein amount is great, I just could not take it!

Need some advice........I have an appointment for a fill on Tuesday. As mentioned above I am currently having issues with sliming, pb'ing, spit ups/throw ups, stuck or whatever is going on. I pretty sure that it because I don't chew well and/or eating too fast. I still fill like I am hungry (at times starving) more than I should be. If it was you would you get a fill (even a very small one) or would you wait? Also ladies and gents I have noticed that we have been bumped to page 3 of the forum. Let's share.........LOL! How is everyone doing? Miss you guys stories, input, venting, inspiration, etc.

Hot dang.......I made it in the 220's! I can't tell you how long it has been since I have seen such numbers. I only pray that I just go down from here. If that number goes back into the 230's I will be devastated. Whoop Whoop! Keeping my eye on the prize. However I still need to work on slowing down while eating because this spit up/throw up thing is for the birds. Congratulations Jess!
