I have always been overwitght. There were a few months in 1988 that I actually lost weight and was under 150 (for a short time) .  I really hate the way I look and the weight touches every part of my life and my self esteem.  I have 3 daughter and I am a single parent. Last may (2010) my sister who was 10 years younger than I am died of a heart attack suddenly.  I decided I needed to do something before I was next ( my father died when I was 12 from a heart attack and so did several of his brothers).
My insurance required a 12 month doctor supervised diet.  June is the last month!  I did well at the beginning and lost 25lbs.  I have managed to gain a bout 12 of them back over the last 4 months or so...I am know waiting for the insurance approval and a surgery date!!
