Good job!

My soft Protein phase included greek yogurt, eggs, cottage cheese, canned tuna, canned chicken, and lots of fresh fish. I can't imagine eating baby food with so many other choices available. I may have misunderstood and you might be talking about the mushie stage. I did not have that stage in my diet plan. I went from liquids to the "soft protein" stage.

My best piece of advice is to ALWAYS eat like you ARE in the green zone even when you're not!! Too many people sit around waiting for restriction to keep them on the straight and narrow. Eating properly from the very beginning will ensure great success with the band!!! Good luck!!!!

Like Cindy, the DATE!!! I sometimes wonder how my life might have been different growing up thin!

I'm one year out and my scars are completely gone! I didn't use any special creams just kept them soft with skin cream.

It will definately go away. Don't worry.

Don't be worried. It is a very easy surgery and recovery, Really!!!! Hang tough with the liquids so you can get your liver shrunk for your surgeon.

Can't see mine; never could. I can feel it, but it's not visible. Don't know how my surgeon hides them. He said HIS are never visible!! lol

Im numbed and there is zero pain i don't even feel the needle going in. The shot to numb it is just a tiny sting. I cant believe she didnt just numb the area if you were in that kind of pain.

Call the nutritionist in your surgeon's office to see what their practice reccommends. As we see on here all the time, all surgeons are different. Did you not get an eating plan?

Congrats! I know how great you must feel!!

I have been on my Pre-op diet for 6 days now and have only lost 5 pounds!! I have faithfully followed the 2 shakes/1 Lean Cuisine rule and I am so disappointed and pissed off and hungry I could scream! I am having surgery on Thursday and am supposed to be down 5 more pounds by then. How in the heck is that going to happen? Why am I not losing more weight when I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing? I'm so upset right now.
If you're like me, not having issues with Water retention because you drink plenty of fluids normally, you will not have that huge initial weight loss just because you drastically cut calories. When you hear about people who lose like 20 pounds on their pre-op liquid diet it is mostly water weight. Don't freak, just follow your surgeo's guideli es and you'll be fine.

Shouldn't this be under "Recent Magazine Articles"?

If something worries you, you really should call your doctor. Good luck!

You should be fine. ALAWAYS follow YOUR drs orders NOT the people on this forum's advice!!!! My dr only had me on 1 week liquids after surgery and then on to soft Proteins. He doesn't have a mushie stage because he doesn't want you eating carbs like mashed potatoes, oatmeal, and cream of wheat!! All surgeons are different and you should ALWAYS follow their guidelines. Best wishes and stop worrying! It sounds like you are doing everything they've asked of you.
