I had my breast reduction just shy of my one year bandiversary and 20 lbs from my goal weight. Everything went great and I couldn't be happier. by the way.... the 20 lbs was gone shortly after the surgery. he took 7 lbs and the rest literally fell off! Good luck to you!

That is WAY more than I lost the first two months! Keep doing what you're doing and remember: consistency over time is what wins the race!!

I ate around 700 calories each day for over a year while I was losing. Now that I'm maintaining I take in around 800 each day. This is what worked for me. Everyone is different. My doc was fine with this. I hope you will get in contact with your dr soon, as follow up care is paramount to success with the band, Good luck!

The most I have ever lost in one month is 9 pounds. Be patient it WILL all come off if you are diligent!

Congratulations! You are going to LOVE your band!

I used the weight at my first consult as my starting weight. As for my goal weight....I played with the bmi calculator until My height and weight were in the "normal" range and chose that as my goal. My Surgeon was ready for me to stop losing 10 pounds ago. but I'd secretly like to lose about 6 more.Good luck!

So worth the money! I was at 85lbs down. Surgeon removed 4lbs in the breasts and 3 in the abdomen and somehow I quickly dropped another 15 quite quickly after surgery. So my goal was weight was hit! Oh and I had not maintained at all, had just reached the 85lb mark when I scheduled surgery.

I had a breast reduction and Tummy Tuck May 18th. I am soooo pleased with my results! AMAZING!! Couldn't be happier! My doc wasn't big on binders, just two weeks for me.

I had a surgeon tell me that I would need to talk him in to doing the band instead of gastric bypass! His point was well taken. He was very clear that the band is a great deal of work and takes a very motivated individual to be successful with it. I have been very happy with my band, and unlike some people on here who say it is so easy, it has not been for me. I have worked my band with diligence and been very successful! I would not change a thing! Love my new life!

Did you have plication with your band? Nausea seems more common with that surgery. I agree with the above posters that vomiting is not a good thing so soon after surgery as everything is healing right now.

My best to you! You are going to LOVE your new life!!

You are only second day post op!!!! Do not worry about anything right now except healing and fluids. You will most likely not feel hungry for another week. It will all come together soon. Be patient.

It's a difficult question to answer because you get to the green zone, then lose weight and fall out of the green zone because of the fat loss around the band. You then get another fill to get to the green zone once again. My last fill was in March. I'm at 7.5cc in a 10cc band. Love my band. I NEVER feel hunger pains, just head hunger! Good luck!

I paid $14,000 and would have paid 4 times that knowing what I know today!! I've lost 110pounds, am 4 pounds below goal weight, and have NEVER been happier!! Good luck!

As for not being heaard....you'll notice a lot more activity on the post op threads. Good luck to all of you, banded life is WONDERFUL!!
