I am self-pay because I do not have a BMI over 35. Everything is relative though, and I am the heaviest person in my family, so I opted for self-pay. Have been thinking about it for years. Should have done it sooner, but wanted my children out on their own and life to calm down first.

Had lap band surgery this morning. Been sleepy all day, but my husband is reminding me to take deep breaths and to get up and walk around, which I am trying to do. Have not taken pain med - in liquid form, because I know it will make me sick. Dry throat - am used to drinking a LOT of water every day. Am drinking an ISO drink right now for my protein.
