Well, I am currently in the pre-op stages of lapband surgery. For years I have been a yo-yo dieter, which kind of worked in my favor as far as the insurance part was concerned because I had already documented 1year of weight loss attempts before I even decided on surgery. So its coming down to me being 37 years old, 5'1 233lbs and I dont like it one bit. At this point all I have to complete is my psych and nutrition consult and they will give me a surgery date. I am desperately trying to find a decent protein drink that is not milky and doesnt have a putrid after taste. Im trying to get everything in order as far as meals and drinks and measurements before I even go into the surgery. This way I am not searching for protein drinks afterwards because I am very picky when it comes to drinks. Im hopeful and prayerful because along with the lapband I will also be getting hernia repair so Im a tad nervous. But I do think I have made a good decision with surgeon and surgery.
