So, first of all, I have some spine issues.  I have spinal stenosis, and degernative disk disease, and also a herniated disk.  My Neurosurgeon thinks that it is due to be being overweight.  I do need back surgery.  However, I can not have it until I lose weight.  I can't lose weight because I can't exercise.  I can't exercise because my back issues causes numbness in my legs.  I went to the seminar in December.  I was under the impression that my insurance only covered the gastric bypass.  I felt it was too invasive for me.  So I chose not to do it.  A few months passed and I was praying for an answer to my weight problem.  I have tried fad diets, and everything including Phentermine.  Nothing seems to work, even though I wasn't eating as much, I would not lose weight.  So as I was praying thru my depression, I was cleaning out my files.  I came across my folder with info from the seminar.  I figured I had nothing to lose, so I called and found out that my insurance does cover the lap band.  "Thank you Jesus"......I have went for my consultation, I have my dietician appointment on the 16th of June, a psych evaluation shortly after.  Because of my spine diseases, my insurance approved me right away... (well, 3 weeks), but in the end, it still was not that long.  Once I have my next 2 appointments done, I can schedule my surgery.  I have been tested for sleep apnea, and for gastritis, due to major heartburn.  So here I am now, and hoping to connect with people who have had the same thing, or not.... I just want to be able to ask questions and find if someone felt similar and such... Thanks for reading..... Debbie
