Hey Becca: I haven't been sleeved yet but I would say just go ahead and stick to the liquids you can drink. It isn't likely you are missing a lot of nutrition by skipping the jello or broth at this stage... that is my guess anyway I have been living vicariously through your posts and am just a few weeks from getting my sleeve. Good luck and I hope everything goes as smoothly for you as possible as you are healing. Telisa -

Congratulations Becca! Sorry you were in so much pain at first but it sounds like you are doing so much better now. Keep us posted on how it is going. Do you have the option of going to another doctor and/or therapist to get another opinion? That sounds ridiculous... of course we have what they would likely refer to as an "eating disorder!" Just the fact that you can recognize that about yourself and can be honest about it doesn't mean you should be penalized! Good luck... hope it works out for you. -

I am having surgery the same day as you and I just added you as a friend. I could use a little encouragement too. It is kind of scary and it is probably pretty normal to be afraid. Still, I think we will be so much happier and live a longer, more fulfilling life because of our decision. Lets keep in touch!

I am dying to know how it is going for you. Hope you had a good Christmas without too much pain or difficulty. I had all my children and grandchildren here and it was wonderful. I ate too much, of course, and I am back on track today with my awful diet of packaged protein shakes and protein bars. I can't imagine how it must be for you right now! Let me know when you ...

The last time I went to GNC, the guy behind the counter was totally hopped up on something. I swear it was like talking to a crack head. I wouldn't worry about this sales person and her obvious lack of knowledge about the subject of weight loss surgery and what supplements would be helpful. Her journey is hers, your is yours - at least you aren't going to have to come down off some crazy supplements after your weight loss
