May: Just getting started - I start 2 weeks of Optifast tomorrow!!!  Nervous but excited at the same time.
Jun: started Optifast liquid diet 1 june - i was VERY surprised how well i tolerated this - i was not hungry - my favorite was to mix the vanilla shake with coffee - i lost 14 lbs during the 2 week Optifast - surger went very well - i went home the same night - i was up walking around the hospital a few hours after surgery - the next day i walked about 1/4 mile 2-3 times - next day 1/2 mile 3 times - by the 3rd day i was doing my 1+ mile route - it used to take me 20 min but it took me 35 - by the end of the week it took me 20 again and i began walking 40-60 min every day.  I did 2 weeks of liquid - i enjoyed the soups and shake (another big surprise)  i was never hungry but i did enjoy eating - i was very happy with my progress and with my diet
Jul: my first weight goal was to lose 30 lbs by time we went to the beach in mid Aug - i reached that goal in Jul - i was on mushies for 2 weeks also - i added yogurt, scrambled eggs, more hearty soups and cottage cheese - again never hungry
Aug: progress was good - exercised regularly - walking and doing strive at the gym 4-5 times a week - even started an 8 week "learn to jog" program - walk/jog - weight loss slowed down to 1-2 lbs a week but thats right where i wanted to be - i decided to not get a fill before going to the beach - i did gain 2.5 lbs - but lost it the next week
Sep: i made my 40 lbs by my birthday (end of Oct) in early Sep - but i was hungry a lot - and eating more than i should - thought still exercising - got my first fill 9/9/11
