    Palpitations?

Do you think the Protein shot could have caused it? Try to relax. If they don't stop, call your doctor. Or at least go have your BP taken.

    A Small Victory Already

    Best doctor in Plano/DFW area

I agree, Dr. Nick Nicholson and his office staff are great. Very easy to deal with and you can call or email them anytime with questions. Baylor Plano really has it together with weight loss surgery patients. I highly recommend Dr. Nick in Plano.

    Day 1 Post-op

Yeah! Glad to hear everything went well. But make sure to take that pain medicine, don't suffer. Your body heals faster when your not hurting. Hugs to you.

The bottom just fell out :(

Usually if your self pay you don't have to do the nut classes unless your doc wants you too. Once you set up a payment plan, you can set up your surgery. Which means you could do it in a few weeks or months. Not next year. Why can't you drive to Louisana? 13 hours is not bad compared to paying over $1000 for plane tickets. I'm sure there is someone close to you what offers the cash payment prices. Just call around. It may not be advertised. Ask for recommendations of doctors in your state from people on this site. Then start calling their offices. You might be surprised.

    Some complications to start

Wow, that is one complex journey. I'm so happy you are doing well today and you got to be at your daughters wedding. I can not imagine going through so many complications. Good luck to you.

    Going crazy

Nina, everything will be ok. I know how you must feel. I thought about writing my youngest a letter, but I didn't. Instead I just told him one day how much I loved him. But not in a way to scare him. I think my daughter who is 25 was more worried about losing me than anyone else. She just didn't relax until I texted her a pic after my surgery to show her I was ok. It's natural to have these feelings. But you are going to be ok. And by doing this, you will be healthier for your children. Good luck sweetie. Try to relax and just enjoy this next week with your kiddo's. Hugs to you.

    Feeling Sorry for Myself

Zumba for wii...I will have to check that out at Target.

The bottom just fell out :(

I would think about going it alone or find a sleeve buddy that is having one done the same day to go with. Or call some local surgeons for their cash price. I know my surgeons cash price is $12,000 hospital and all. And you can make payments. There are so many options, so let this one little thing bring you down.

    Feeling Sorry for Myself

Have you ever tried Zumba? Now that will make you sweat. You can get their DVD's online. Or watch some of them on youtube to get an idea of what its all about. Plus I know there are tons of Zumba classes everywhere. I've bought some dvd's and once I am able to exercise going to try it. Looks like fun. And I've heard lots of good reviews about it. Good luck. The pounds will come off again.
  13. Maybe its just your hormones. LOL Just kidding. I know how you feel. I haven't cried yet, but I know when I see that scale say 199, that will be my breaking point. I haven't seen that in forever. And to know I will never ever see it again will be a huge relief. I think its great you cried. This means alot to you. I can't wait to see the new you in a few months. Hugs,

    Chili Night!

Chef....I love Beans in my chili. Now my husband, would say...NO Beans in real chili. So I don't usually put beans in when I make it. But now that I need the Protein, that may change and he will have to adjust. LOL Now tofu.....ewwww....that is NOT Chili material. LOL

    Spouse or Sig other

My husband also loves curvy/thick women. But he knows how important this is to me, to be healthly and just feel better about myself. One of my biggest concerns on whether or not to have this surgery was how he would feel about me when I get thinner. We have had long coversations about it. He assures me he won't leave me because I get thinner. Plus it would be stupid on his part, I'm to damn good to him. LOL I just can't wait until he can pick me up and do wild and crazy things...hehehehe. My husband is 6'4 and about 280. I'm only 5'1. So its gonna be fun.

    6 Month Comparison

    Congrats, you look great.
  21. I had my surgery on Monday, July 11th. Today is my 6th day post op. As of this morning I'm down 7.1 lbs from my surgery weight. :cheer2: This morning I feel kinda blah First day I've felt that way. Kinda dizzy at times too. The first thing I did when I got up was start drinking my Protein shake. It was the ones from costco with 30 gms of protein. After over an hour I'm done with it. I've also already had 3 BM's this morning. So that is a good sign I guess. I just took my chewable multi Vitamin (yuck) and had a cup of decaf coffee with FF milk in it. :coffee: About to start my Water for the day now. I just haven't done much. Been catching up on my youtube vids and on here reading. When I get up and move around I just get that dizzy light headed icky feeling. But when I'm sitting I'm ok. Now that I think about it, do you think it could be my BP? Since I take BP meds, could it be making my BP too low? That would be awesome if I could stop taking that. Now even though I'm down to 205.4 this morning from 212.5 on Monday, I am not smaller. Usually at this weight I can really see it, especially in my clothes. I was getting to where my size 20's were lose and 18's were just fine. But since I'm still swollen I just don't see it. URGH! I know it will come....but when? When did the swelling go down after surgery? Another thing I'm ready for...is SHOPPING. I'm so ready to go to the thrift stores to get smaller sizez....LOL I know that will be awhile, but I'll have too soon. I don't have anything smaller than an 18 in my closet. I've been an 18/20 forever. Anyway, just wanted to see how everyone else was doing from surgery this past week. Oh and I'm still having to take my Lortab. Only twice yesterday and slept without it last night too. But once I got up, the pain was there when I stood up or walked. So took a dose this morning. I also have a new post op video up on my youtube channel. Oh and Nancy...I'm still hot. I think it's my hormones. Surgery must have screwed with them.

    My Surgery Story

    Glad you are feeling better.
  23. Ok I have a little more than 2 more weeks left on full liquids. Per my doc it has to go through a strainer. I need help. I'm tired of just Protein shakes, broth and cream of "whatever" Soup watered down. What did you eat? I would love any ideas. Thanks,
