The hunger pain feeling and sounds in my new stomach were acid related. Once I started taking my pepcid it stopped. Now if you are having sounds in your intestines that is probably gas. That is good...keep it moving.

Excuse me. Have we met?
Texasmom65 replied to rosepetals's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
That is great. I wonder if one of my docs I work for will do that....LOL probably not. I don't see them all that often since I work from home. So I only see them once every couple of months or so. -
Help, please! Chewable Multi Vitamins are making me sick!
Texasmom65 replied to sleeved51711's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I bought the Celebrate ones also and I vomit. can't take them anymore. My nut suggested Flintstone chewables. I guess I'll try that this weekend. Would love a small vitamin pill to swallow. -
Feeling yucky today
Texasmom65 replied to CCinINdiana's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You should call your doctor if you start to feel worse. A friend of mine had lap band done a week before I had my surgery and she was feeling bad and said it hurt to take a deep breath. Finally her doc told her to go to the ER. She had blood clots in her lungs. She is out of the hospital and fine now. And I'm not trying to scare you, but just want you to know, its still possible for blood clots. Hope you feel better soon and its nothing. -
Gluten free anyone??
Texasmom65 replied to lml32937's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not gluten free, but check out this webiste. My grandchildren have Celiac disease and my daughter created this blog with tons of info and recipes. She has been on a radio show and also asked to speak at two different hospitals for celiac groups. http://www.glutenfreefoodstorage.net/ -
Introduction - from Arkansan...

Japan, that is where my son in law wants to go next, but my daughter doesn't....LOL Right now they are in Jacksonville Florida on the Naval Base. We did get to visit them in June, just went to Fla. for our vacation....LOL Must be strange having a new "kid" in the house, especially one that isn't your own. Maybe she can join her husband soon in Japan. -
I bought the GE brand one that Walmart has for $20. It works great. Comes with 5 large cups and one small that you can drink out of too. Its fast, easy and very affordable. I show it on one of my Post Op Vlogs. Click my youtube link in my signature and you can see it. Its the Gastric Sleeve Post op day 11 video.

Feeling yucky today
Texasmom65 replied to CCinINdiana's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How far out are you from your surgery? If the pain has not went away, please call your doctor. As far as the bump feeling under the incision that is normal and will go away over time. I have the same thing and had it when I had my gallbladder out. -

Texasmom65 replied to razrbakcrzy's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That is wonderful news Jim. And Welcome to the board. I bet your sons are very proud of you. I know how it is when your children are gone, you really do miss them. Although my daughter is not in the service her husband is in the Navy and they are not stationed anywhere close. So she has been gone from home for over 4 years. Good LUck on your journey. -

Should I rent a recliner
Texasmom65 replied to Toyia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I slept in my bed. The recliner was ok, but it wasn't easy getting out of it either for me. The bed felt better, plus I used an extra pillow for support on my side. I would turn a little bit on my right side and put the pillow underneath my tummy, so there wouldn't be any tugging or pulling. Heck at first I stole hubby's pillow too and when laying flat had pillows on both sides. LOL -
Drain removal and first weigh in...
Texasmom65 replied to Marleykay87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Can't wait to hear the good news on your WL. The drain was not painful for me, but they removed it before I left the hospital. -

Texasmom65 replied to Sleevie WonderLand's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome and I agree this is a great site. I joined the "other" site a couple of weeks ago, but find it unorganized. I like this site so much better. Good luck on your journey and we will be here waiting to hear "The End" in the many months to come. LOL -
Congrats on your new "Sleeve". Wow out patient surgery. You are doing well. Just take it easy, use the pain meds and sip sip sip.

What to eat one week post op???
Texasmom65 replied to Tee23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My soups/broths are usually 6-8 oz. I may take me an hour to finish them, but that is what I drink. Same with my Protein drinks. Then the rest of the day I drink Water. You probably will not fill that restriction yet, I know I don't since its just liquid. Now I do feel it I drink to much at once or to close together. But only for a moment, then its gone. -
Congrats. You will love your sleeve.

Post-Op Broken Tastebuds?
Texasmom65 replied to CaliforniaJenn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know what you mean. My taste buds have changed too. I use to add things to my Water, now I can't stand it. Plain water taste best to me. Crystal light or even Stevia flavors are way to sweet for me. I guess we will see how the next few months will change...or will they? -
Bittersweet Birthday (of course it's in my head!)
Texasmom65 replied to Husky2Healthy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Happy Birthday!! -
You could be releasing alot of extra fluid still from your surgery. Now the feeling that your never done...could mean you might have a UTI. So you might want to call your doc about that and have it tested before it gets worse. Having the catherter in so long could cause that.
