Since you have been there less than a year, I would wait until your vacation time. Or is there someone over him you can talk to about this. How large is your company? -
OMG.....this is just crazy. I'm happy to hear you are switching doctors. Hopefully it is small enough to pass soon and not get stuck. Good Luck.

hospital wants out of pocket amount up front
Texasmom65 replied to Jensharley's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is normal. I have to pay the hospital my remaining deductible and out of pocket expenses. They will let me pay 1/2 up front and pay the remaining out over 12 months. I'm thankful since the total due is $2034. So $1034 goes to them in a couple of weeks. -
Just curious how things are going? Did your appliance come out yet?

Texasmom65 replied to wondering1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Fiber Choice tablets or Miralax works wonders. You can just put the Miralax in one of your shakes each day. -
Awesome, this is good news. I sure hope it works for me too.

Pre-Op liquid diet
Texasmom65 replied to Heather~ Sweetdreams's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Mine is scheduled for July 11th. My pre op diet is 5 protein drinks/bars per day and one real meal for two weeks. So it isn't too bad. I start mine next Monday. -
Work...Time off... Need to know.
Texasmom65 replied to Julie76's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you don't have to work bartending, then don't...or at least not for a few weeks. I don't think you are allowed to lift anything heavy for awhile. What part of Texas are you in? Who is yoru surgeon? -
Work...Time off... Need to know.
Texasmom65 replied to Julie76's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think it depends on what type of work you do also. I have not had my surgery yet. I have mine on a Monday, plan on returning to wrk (limited) on that Thursday. Only because I have a desk job and work from home. If I were driving into work, I might take the whole week off. My surgeon told me 1 1/2 weeks is the usual. I'm sure I will only do half days on that Thurs. and Fri. Then hoping by the next Monday (one week out) working back to normal. I hope I'm not pushing it either. My boss knows what I'm doing and said take all the time I need. But the bad thing is no one does my job so I don't want it to pile up. LOL -
Paying it forward: little over 2 months out
Texasmom65 replied to justdance's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Love your post. You have the right mind set. This is a new life style. You can't go back to eating the way you use too, the way that got us all fat to begin with. I changed my eating habits back in March and have pretty much stayed on track. I do find if I have a craving and go with it, I eat more bad things and more and more. So I just can't eat trigger foods. I stay away, far far away. I have found new foods I love and really I don't miss the chips, pizza and chinese foods. So I'm hoping do this before hand, after my surgery it will be easier for me to stick with the plan. -
Approved for Surgery July 11

Wow Butterfly, how exciting to have your date moved up. Keep us posted if you can by that weekend, so we know how your doing before the 11th. I've already asked my hubby to update you guys if I'm not able to get on the computer. He is a geek and loves this stuff. LOL Has anyone been able to access the board from their iPhone app? I can't seem to get mine to work.
