Just curious! What is ketosis?.. I am 9 days post op and also havebthis bad taste in my mouth, i can brush 1000 times and still there. I can also relate to the head hunger....would love a slice of pizza in my mouth but.....not swallowingn it, strange ! Good luck to you )

You were really lucky !. I also had my surgery last saturday at Angeles and i got nothing except a cup of ice the day i was leaving....and up until today Water, tea, juice and chicken broth!!. Any chance your surgery was at 8am or so ? Good luck to us all !!

Its been 5days since my surgery and 6lbs lost..... I have no idea, is that aversge, good, bad ?. Its been reaaly hard, could not stop crying yesterday, Water, Soup hurtss !!!.... So just wondering if the lost is good or not...help !

I survived. I had nausea and other stuff all day yersterday. Drs keep saying it is normal, enen blood !, they gave meds to help and they did so that is why i survived i guess. Still at the hospital, here until tomorrow late evening, today i will have ice....yaaay !. The only only thing tha is kepping me from crying is knowing all the reasons i have for doing this are still there....and this will pass. Just me thinking of what they did to me stomach...is scary. ....this will pass.

That is exactly how i feel...want to burp but nothing happens !. All of you, this site is the only reason i brought my laptop... Thank you, so much. I keep walking and...better. I do hope i get to go home tomorrow...

Really really nervious... I'm having me VSG surgery on saturday, and I am so nervious. I am 36, 250lbs, cant walk due to arthritis in my knees, and this i feel is my only option. I keep reading the stories posted and i feel the more i know.... The more nervious i get !!!. My surgery will be in Tijuana, in Angeles hospital....so, just wantbto kmow what you guys reccomend i take to the hospital, i have never ever even been in a hospital myself for anything !! . Thank you everyone for your stories..... E.

I love this forum. Thank you so much for your words.... Completely right, all the reasons to have this surgery are still there.... Iv've been reading other posts and found many people come to Tijuana alone for surgery, i admire all of you !. Thank you again for charing your stories....

Also having surgery os sat. I actually live in Tijuana, i am mexican. My cardiologist cleared me for surgery and did not recommend any of the clinics like INT. She said they are very good if nothing happens, BUT if an emergency happens those clinics will not have the staf or equipment needed, i decided to have mine at a large hospital here in tij. Much more expensive but... I have enough things to worry about if the surgey goes well, dont want to worry about if it doesnt !!
