I was banded last May and the weight lose is now coming off slower ( very slow ) same as you, but at least it is still coming off I have not gained and that is a plus. Just keep doing what you are doing, it is a life change and you are doing great. Your weight loss of 63 pounds is amazing, keep your chin up. Hugs

Welcome Shirley, we are all in the same boat ( not Carnival hehe ) so please ask questions and pretty soon you will be giving advice to the newbies. This is a great place to get your questions answered. it is always better to get medical questions answered by your doctor. Again welcome I look forward to hearing more about your journey. Hugs

Happy that you are happy. Now the meal ideas, you really need to get that from the doctor to start with. Let us know what advice you get and we will build on that. Hugs

When I was out for lunch today watching my friends eat Bread and Butter (yum) and all the appetizers on the menu it got me to thinking how do most of you survive this on a weekly or daily basis. It is just my hubby and I at home so it is not too hard, I am sure that most of you have young children to feed that do not eat the same items as you do. For myself when we eat out with friends I always ask for a small bowl of crotons (they are free )to munch on with my one glass of wine. That way I do not miss having the bread or the appetizers, it also helps me get that crunch I miss from other foods. Will be interested to know what other tips you all have came up with to help out our wee friend the band. Hugs J -
I had a glass of wine two weeks after surgery, I still have one about once a week.

We are all here for you, keeping coming back to the forum and get inspiration from all of the great guys and gals on here. Sometimes it takes awhile to get the band; it took me a full year as I was turned down three times. I cried sometimes got frustrated sometimes and downright tee off sometimes but I kept coming back until I got my approval. You hang in there with us and we will help you as much as possible. Hugs hugs and more hugs.

I came on the forum to get information and help because I knew very little at the beginning. It was helpful to know what protein shakes to get, what other people liked ect. When I had bad gas pain and other concerns it was reassuring to know that is was normal to have these. I keep coming back to help the newbie’s but also to see if there are other ideas out there to help me along the journey. Hugs
