Oh my goodness girl maybe you should talk to your regular MD. Hope you are feeling better now, if not insist on seeing the doctor do not just take the nurse word.. I am not sure if I would stay with that doctor.

Banded the 24th and doing great, was to come home the same day but had a little extra gas I needed to get rid of. I also had knee pain and was having a very bad time with it, now I have had no pain since surgery. Started walking today excited about that. Welcome to the group. Lassie

Hi Jeanine nice you have on the forum. You will get lots of ideas and help, and if you have a question just start a new topic. I had my surgery on the same day as yours and today I am feeling the best I have felt. I think tomorrow I will start my walking program. Good luck lassie

Banded May 24th so next week I will be on Mushy Foods, sounds terrible, but I will survive with your help. So Mushy means what? Soft potatoes, sweet potatoes, scrambled eggs, ground turkey, salmon (I hope) can I have salad (another hope) Is there somewhere on this forum- recipes that we can use. Thanks to everyone who share their experiences on this web site. I am newly banded last week and have not told my family or friends about this ordeal. I lie in bed wondering if I have done the right thing by not telling anyone as I feel I need the support sometimes. (When I am hurting and feeling sorry for myself). Today I had a few people answer some questions I had and I feel so much better knowing that you are all out there in the same boat-as to speak. I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to help one another it means so much knowing you all care about your fellow human beings. Lassie

one of the reasons is that a friend of the family had it done a few years ago, I have heard many a comment about what she is eating and not eating ( the food police ) I do not want people watching what i eat some ot the time. more reasons but this is the big one. Lassie

Welcome, I am not too experienced with this myself yet I was banded May 24th I have had gas pains in my shoulder for a week although now they are a lot better. Also constipation which is not better yet I am taking something but not working. Have been able to sleep alright but I have seen quite a few people on here say they sleep in there chair. Hang in there it will get better anyway that is what I keep telling myself.

Can i not use the dark meat the same way? I prefer the dark meat and my husband like the white. Lassie
