Calories in calories out still apply. Maybe you are drinking items that are to high in calories. Do as much walking as your body will allow and increase it a little every day, hugs to you.

you will be fine ( except maybe the rides ) on food, I went on vacation weeks after surgery and I could always find something to eat at the restaurants. Just make sure you drink your protein. hugs and have a great time.

surgery date finally set for May 24
lassie replied to hbannister's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That was my date last year hugs to you both and good luck. -
I also thought I would at goal by now it has been 11 months since my surgery. I am so happy that I got my band and very grateful to have lost what I have. Forty five pounds is way better than zero. Maybe you need a jump start to get you going, there was a jump start procedure on here a few months ago, I think Missy put it on this forum. Hugs to you and keep your chin up. ( in my country we would say keep your pecker up ) Pecker is your chin. But I better not say that here LOL

I could not do lettuce for a few months but now it is fine, I agree with the above that it could be blocking your opening so maybe very small pieces at a time. Hugs

Thank you for sharing your story. The pain for me was not to bad, the shoulder pain was the worst it took about a week for it to feel better. The advice from newbeebee is great advice I would have everything ready before surgery. I would make sure that you get pain meds and any other meds days before surgery. hugs to you both

First (not to nick pick ) it must have been in 2012 or earlier as June 2013 has not arrived yet. I think you should make an appointment with the doctor and talk to him, maybe he will set up a payment plan for you to follow and he will take you back as a patient. If he will not see you then you still need to find another doctor in your area and promise to pay as you go. Do not give up on yourself take the first step. hugs

I was a coke fiend, now do not miss it, stay away from it to many horror stories. Do not think it would be worth the slippage. I drink the coke product Vitamin Zero, it did take me awhile to get used to it but now it is a no brainer. Hugs and good luck.

For those who had to wait six months
lassie replied to rdm's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
None, same as above to eat wisely but no expected weight loss. I did lose about 10 pounds then the doctor submitted the paperwork, my insurance turned me down because I had lost to much weight. I regained it in the next month and then resubmitted and was approved. crazy. Hugs -
I would like to know more about these also, have friends who sell them and being inundated from acquaintances on Facebook. They swear it is not a temporary water loss. Hope we have some people that know more than me. hugs

How is the year going for everyone?
lassie replied to Daron1965's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Having a good year, weight loss has slowed down-I think I need a jump start. Over all I am happy with the way things are going. My one year anniversary is coming up May 24th, I thought I would be at goal by then but that is not realistic as I have only been losing about two pounds a month ( but still losing ) Do not like the loose skin but would rather have that than the weight. I am over 65 so it is hard to tone it up. Love all the NSV's so please keep them coming it gives me inspiration. Hugs to everyone. -
This is what only 45 pounds looks like!

What to do for a sugar craving
lassie replied to Deed2u's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I do not crave a lot of sugar but sometimes I want something a little sweet. So I start with some zero calorie Vitamin water ( I keep a few flavors in the refer)this usually works for me. If not then I will have a snack, usually special K chips with laughing cow cheese or hummus that always works. I did not get the sugar high but really I do not need it I think my mind plays tricks on me lol You will find what works for you, one more thing when we go out for dinner and my husband has dessert I will sometimes take one bite and that satisfies me. hugs -
My doctor is very conservative if I am losing enough weight in his opinion then he will not do a fill. I had to beg for .5cc at the last visit. Hugs
