Two people DYING recently in Mexico on the operating table??
Fat4now replied to Pinkbetty's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
And Dr Kelly DID IN FACT have a death last month! You can call him or Trish and they will confirm it. The discrepency comes in with HOW she died. Dr Kelly and Trish say it was an Pulmonary Embolism and the family of the girl said the autopsy shows that her artery was knicked...But either way--THERE WAS A DEATH. -
Contacting Dr. Kelly's office
Fat4now replied to wannasleeve's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Me and the girl I was going to go with changed our minds....There was some concerns we had...And going straight through Trish wasn't the best choice for her. We thought going through Trish would be the best but she gave my girl the complete runaround when it came to getting her deposit back. She finally got it back with my help and then Trish took part of it even though she cancelled a month ahead of time. -

I had the same problems with Trish....Through email--she wouldn't answer all my questions--if you can get her on the phone---she answers them. -
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I know that had to feel amazing!! I LOVE those pics and can't wait to feel comfortable enough to take one myself. I've had them taken of my daughter and niece and nephew but never had the guts to take one of myself (Too insecure)...I can't wait for these NSV's! Congratulations on your weight loss!~

Why are there two different websites for the doctors in mexico
Fat4now replied to kansasgirl's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
As far as I know, the different sites are the different coordinators. It doesn't matter which one you go with. I think they just create their "Own" site to advertise. -
Looking to make the 20 somethings forum active
Fat4now replied to ATLGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello Everyone! I'm 26 and I am still pre op...I planned on having surgery in Mexico but changed my mind and decided to try insurance first. So now, here I am doing the 6 month supervised diet. It is a little depressing knowing that I will have to wait a while to have surgery but I have went this long...I'm sooo excited about surgery and can't wait to be on the losers bench. I probably won't have surgery until January though. But my day is coming....Congrats to you all for your accomplishments--I love reading other peoples stories! Is there anyone in the Charlotte NC area? -
Please remove me from the July Firecrackers list.....I have decided on a different route. I'm going to try insurance first and see if I can get them to approve me. So my surgery won't be until next year I wish I could have been on the losers bench with all of you but I guess I will just have to sit this one out....But my day is coming!!!!! Congratulations to you all! I'm wishing you all the best!

They must be different...A few years ago I was 115 lbs and I wore a size 3-4. At about 145 lbs I wore a size 9-10. I can't wait to see these sizes again! Atleast the 9-10 anyway! I don't really want to be a 3 again--I looked anorexic!

I just wanted to ask....Are any of you changing your mind about surgery since we got the disturbing news about Gibgirly? Just wondering... -
I'm scheduled for July 28th! Thanks

Trying to fly from Charlotte NC but willing to do Raleigh if needed...Southwest quotes us $1000 and some change for two round trips....Cheaptickets quotes us $855... I will check them all tomorrow and see what the difference is on Tuesday... Thanks everyone! I appreciate any help...

I used to have them and that is the worst pain ever...It feels like razor blades are coming out when you go to the bathroom...I used to bleed more from the rectum than a full blown period. Honestly the only thing that I know of that helped me was going regularly. I must have started eating more fiber because now I am going more frequently and it comes out soft instead of hard and tearing my rectum. I don't have this problem anymore. I feel for you! That pain is horrible. I went to a specialist and he stuck his fingers in my rectum and I cried and screamed while climbing the table. It hurt sooo bad. Sorry for the TMI! But I so feel your pain! I don't exactly know what to tell you to correct it though except you need to get fiber or whatever in your system so your bowels don't tear you anymore once these heal. And that will take a while too--especially if your bowels are all solid.

oh no...!!! you didn't......!!!!!
Fat4now replied to GA Girl Best in the World's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Luckily my best friend is very supportive and she knows that once I have my mind made up, there's no changing it. But I feel like you should do what is best for you. I actually think that you taking the step to move forward and have the surgery just might make her want it later. If she sees that you "succeed" at this, she may want your support later. I think after you have the surgery and she sees how well you do, she will be fine! The proof is in the pudding...Show her how you work the sleeve!! -
We looked at Southwest and it was rather confusing. We checked the box for "round trip" and then "Get away" was the cheapest flights. However it looked like you had to pick a departing flight and a returning flight and after that was chosen, the price was higher than the other site we found. Southwest wanted to charge over a $1000 for 2 people when the other site charge 850. Am I doing something wrong?

I say go with what you feel comfortable with...Besides black men love THICK woman--ask me...LOL My man is afraid of me losing the breasts and booty. But at this point--I am unhappy and this weight has got to go. I am 5'2 as well and I looked good at 145-150. When I was 115-120--I looked like I was anorexic. Everyone thought I was on drugs or starving myself. I think you should stop the weight loss when you achieve the results YOU are looking for. Congrats on your loss---I can't wait!

How do I get my picture to show up on my posts?
Fat4now replied to LisaM's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I have the same question...So I guess we will be dumb together..lol -
I think the decision is ultimately up to you but your BMI is not high at all. I'm a little surprised that you want to do something this drastic with not a lot of weight to lose. You should read some stories "POST OP" and see if this is something you really want to do. That might help you make your decision. Will your insurance cover you with your BMI?

New Protein drink I look forward to now!!
Fat4now replied to Tamz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tamz...I am not here to lecture you--you are grown...But I can see where everyone is worrying about you honey...You seem to be "pushing it". I am pre op and by no way am I telling you what to do or how to feel--I have no idea yet what you ladies and gentleman are going through and how difficult it is. I am scared myself. But it seems like everyday you get on here and post another forum about how you tried something that isn't recommended by your dr. I can tell that the people on this site are very caring and supportive. I think they just want you to succeed and without problems. And if you keep doing these things, you might possibly end up with something wrong....This is a SUPPORT group and that is what they are here for--to guide and support you. They can't support you easily if they are constantly worrying about what you are going to try next. But just as you said, you are NOT perfect (NO ONE IS) but please PLEASE try to stick to the diet your dr gave you. If you need something more detailed to tell you the "DON'T DO's"--then call them and tell them that. I am sure they can print you out something. We are all here for each other, we are here to root you on and here to watch your progress! Stick with it TAMZ--you can do it! You will be back eating SMALL portions of your fav foods in no time! -

Fat4now replied to peppercma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am planning on July 28th. I'm trying to get my flight handled and then I am calling to schedule surgery. However I have talked to Trish and she said the 28th is fine. Hopefully I will still be there to meet all of you! I would really like that! Best of luck on your surgery... See you next month! -
