    Looking for a buddy...

    Hi Lisa, I was banded in June but seem to be having a slow start. I am a nurse and work partime and I am mostly home with my little girl and the kids I watch for people. My husband is in the Army and is currently away for training. I am 33, and I would love to have someone to email and help with the motivation factor! I know what i need to do, I just really need to get my head in the game! I have lost 26 pounds but, I have seen the same weight on the scale for weeks now! I need a jump start! LOL. I think it's the exercise, I really need to find a way to get the 2 year old and the 3 month old out and be able to get a decent workout in. If you think your interested let me know.

    HELLO- new here!! Army Wife in Kansas!

    Hi! I am an Army wife in Virginia, I was banded in June. Three days after my husband came home from training. The first stages were soooo hard! Especially because my hubby is the meat and potatoes kinda guy too! I am on the stage where I can eat what ever I want, I just have to watch what I eat. That to me is the hard part!
  5. Hi everyone.. I'm Kelly, I was banded on June 3rd and so far I have lost 20 pounds. I am at the point now where my willpower has to be in full gear and I need as much support as possible. I think like most of us that are on here, we aren't so good that the willpower and exercise gig. I know that I need to do this to make this band work for me. Any support would be welcomed.     sugar free?

    I had my band on the 3rd of June and I really haven't done "Sugar Free" items such as jello, shakes ect. I can't stand the taste of them, and feel like eating the natural stuff in small quanties is much better I do opt for low sugar items, there are plenty of great products out there that are lower in sugar. I have lost 13 pounds since I was banded, I didn't have a liquid diet before surgery so all weight loss has been since the surgery. I think I am on track. Just do what you feel, I do like stevia and/truvia if I am craving something sweet.. Hope this helps!!
  7. My Dr didn't give me a pre-op diet. I really thought I would have one and kinda prepared myself. I was thinking about putting myself on one, maybe for a couple of days to a week before my surgery. I know it will help with the cravings and jump start my weight loss. Any ideas or thoughts? Has anyone else done this?
