Good Morning All Stars! Wow! It's been a long time since I have posted. I am down 65lbs and have past my goal of 135lbs. Came in this morning at 133lbs, have gone for my walk and plan to work on the yard today. So glad I did this surgery. It has given me a new lease on life!

Passed Goal By 1.8Lbs! How The Heck Did That Happen?
mamamckinzie posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
8 months ago on August 1st I had VSG. I weighed 199lbs with a bmi of 31. My doctor and I thought 140lbs would be about the best I could get to since I am 50 years young. I secretly hoped I would at least hit 135 for one day at least just so I could be at my lowest adult weight. This morning I came in at 133.2lbs and I was just stunned! I found an old before pic and I will have my daughter take a new pic this weekend and post. So anyone who has having doubts about this surgery DON'T. It Works! -

I Squeezed Into My Old Size 14 Jeans! Woot! Woot!
mamamckinzie posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I weighed this morning after my walk and I was down to 154.4lbs! So I thought well....maybe I can finally get into a pair of size 14 jeans. And I got them on! Now do I have a hugh muffin top? Oh yeah...in fact, I am wearing a loose shirt to cover the muffin top but at least I can wear the darn thing! I have lost a lot of weight from my butt and thighs and not so much from my big tummy. My apron is getting smaller but still there so I guess I will have start putting in situps and core excercises to get things moving along. It sure feels good though to be shrinking! Love my sleeve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

mamamckinzie replied to mina's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Your look absolutely gorgeous! The clothes really show and the new you and your hair soooo cute! Love the style...and you have a beautiful smile! Your parents will get used to the new you in time. Enjoy! You have worked hard for it! -
Still losing steady! Down 1.6lbs. Have not stalled since the 3 week stall. Just slow and steady and that is fine with me! I would rather go at this pace than the roller coaster of previous weight loss attempts. It is soooo nice to be on my feet and walking without the pain that the weight was causing me. I have gone from the bottom of the Obese BMI scale to the bottom of the Overweight BMI. Now I am knocking on the door at the top of the right weight category!!!! Wow! I could never have done this without the sleeve. NEVER!

Optifast And Cheating....am I The Only One?
mamamckinzie replied to Sleeved's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can handle this journey! It is so much more manageable once you have been sleeved!! You will not feel like you need to chew your arm off. Is it easy? Nope...but as you learn to embrace your "new normal" for how little you will need to eat it will become easier. Plus give yourself time to heal after your surgery. Just remember that the sleeve is a tool. If your follow your Dr.'s diet plan you will loose weight once and for all. Just hang there and remember we are here for you! -
Been A Long Road Already!

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time of it. My first few weeks were very rough too. Take heed of the advice from those who have gone on before. Sip,Sip,Sip, (I sipped even when I woke up in the middle of the night the first few weeks!) Dont worry about food. Liquids are your friend. Please keep us up to date. Good luck and Happy Sipping! -

40lbs In 4 Months! Gotta Love That Sleeve!
mamamckinzie posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Woot! Woot! This morning I came in at 40lbs gone since August 1st!!!! Very happy with the sleeve. Has it been easy? Nope! Am I still learning how to eat and manage the sleeve correctly? Yep! But it is soooo worth! Knowing those pounds are GONE! Not having to worry about what will happen when the "diet" is over. Not worried about Thanksgiving cuz I can only eat so much anyway! Just choose wisely and enjoy the day! -

Celebrate Vitamins...who Would Like Them?
mamamckinzie posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have 3 containers of Celebrate chewable multi vitamins and 3 containers of vit c. I liked them before I had the sleeve but sleevzilla does not like them at all. If you pm your address I will send them out to the first taker. I will even pay shipping. Happy Turkey Day! -
Happy Saturday All Stars! I came in at 162.6lbs this morning for a 1.4lb loss this week. I have not excercised as much as I planned too. My own fault! :mad5: Trying to work thru the issues of getting enough to eat. I have a sleevezilla to say the least! One day I can eat such n such food the next day...no way! Backed off of the protein shakes for a few days cuz they were causing to many trips to the bathroom. Still trying to find what works but I am thrillled with the weight loss so far. :purplebananna: I really must of stretech out the 2 pairs of slacks I have "lived" in for the past two years. Cuz I thought I would of gone down a size but nope still the same. My old slacks were very baggy but I am not disappointed cuz I know I stretched them out past the point of no return and I am losing weight so I will just look forward to a smaller size pant when I really am at that size. Having the sleeve gives me so much more confidence than any thing else I have ever tried. So happy I made this decision. It has not always been easy or smooth but it certainly has been worth the effort!

Good morning everyone! I had a 3.4lbs loss this week! Whooo! Hooo! I am at 164lbs and my jeans are getting baggy. Tried a couple of pair of jeans at walmart yesterday but no go. My tummy is still too big..oh well hopefully my apron will start to shrink. Going on a 3 hour horse back ride today so that should be fun. Have a great week! TMI....still having diarrhea issues really bad so will call bari doc next week for help...it is getting really old.

3 months out and still having diarrhea issues...
mamamckinzie posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
guess I will call my doc next week and tell him it is still not resolved. I haved tried fiber chews, lactaid, pip pills, etc...it is really getting old! I cant get all my liquids in because of it. Not sure what to make of it. Anyone else have this issue for so long and what did you do to solve it? -

Sleeve of Steel
mamamckinzie replied to FishingNurse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats on having a Sleeve of Steel! I have a Sleevzilla and I have to be very careful what I introduce to her or she rebels one way or the other (either up and out or down and out) if you know what I mean! Sometimes I am afraid to eat cuz of her so enjoy your sleeve of steel.
