Over 200 pounds for 20 yrs. Over 250 for 15yrs. I'm 43 with 4 children (23,20,12,10) I am happy with myself except for my weight. It is becoming more of an issue as I become older. I have no other illnesses....yet. In 2007 I went back to college and now I am a registered nurse at our local hospital. Our hospital just started offering the lap band in April of this year. I signed up and next month I'll be on my way to surgery. After care of patient's with lab band will be on my floor (a med-surg floor) so I guess you can say I will have the inner scoop on how to treat these patients post surgery. Nervous and Excited.........YES.
