Hi Doreen, I was nervous before my first fill last week, especially after reading some of the experiences on here! However, it was painless - no more than the needle prick of a blood test, not at all uncomfortable and over a matter of moments. Good luck!

Interestingly, the nurse told me that my shoulder pain was gas pain and that walking would help, but my surgeon said it was referred pain from the diaphragm being moved during the surgery. All I know is that it took 10 days to go away, walking didn't help much, but heat pads and lying down did.

Beccaboolane - I had my first fill last week and it was no worse than the needle when having blood drawn for tests. Good luck.

Very useful post, thanks. Had my first fill last week, six weeks post-surgery. No feeling of restriction as yet but my surgeon said he prefered to be cautious in his filling based on experience.
