Janie, Yes you are. All liquids and this includes mascara and liquid eyeliner must be in a quart size ziplock baggy. Some airports have their own baggies, others do not. Deodorant, face cream, all of that MUST be under 3 oz or they will take it away! Sad but true. Now, if you check your bag, you can bring whatever and any size. But with me having to go take two flights to get to San Ant. I am going to carry it w/ me and not take any chances. Thanks for the shampoo and cond. I have a 3 oz bottle of Bumble and Bumble leave in spray!!! wooohooo!

Happy Bandaversary Laura and Jenn! I remember Laura saying she woke up in the hospital and the VTech stuff was all over the news! What a year, eh? I am down 2 lbs from the start of our contest. Not for trying though. Probably just a big poop, LOL! I wonder if I'll ever want to really lose weight. My little band is just waiting for me to start. Oh well, I am getting a fill next Wed. My friend got a fill 2 weeks ago, and she has been on liquids for a week. Our doc always suggests that...I don't follow that one. I don't want to be on a liquid diet. I want to be able to eat 1/2 c. of cottage cheese, and be full for a few hours. Honestly, I have not worked the band...I've worked my mouth! But, truth be told, I am happier, healthier, and overall better from the band. So there! Email chime, gotta run!

Terry, I can get B&B, but not at a discount. I use it and my salon sells it, if you need it. But again, not at Janie prices. Speaking of which, I need to barrow some shampoo on our trip. I want to carry on my bag and don't want to deal w/ 3oz of shampoo...+ conditioner.

Good Luck Jenn~ We are all waiting to hear! I made a fill appointment for next Wed. I haven't had a fill in a while and it shows. Last time, I just PB'd my days...and I will not live like that, so I had him take some out. Honestly, I don't know what I've got in there. I just PB'd yesterday, but it was totally my fault. We have 30 min for lunch. With walking to the lounge, heating the food, etc. I sometimes rush. But that aside...I am ready for a fill. I get toooooo hungry and can eat toooooo much. Although it is no where near what it used to be. I have a problem "spliting" food w/ Susanne. She has a great appetite and can eat a lot (good, bad or indifferent...it is what it is). So, I don't like to suggest splitting when I know she wants to eat her food. So, I often have leftovers. Oh well. It is quiet in here today!

Morning Violets~ Well, yesterday morning Susanne left...and last night, she returned!! I get to have her all week and am soooooo glad. I am getting quite used to this! I graded papers until 10pm last night, just so we could have a free afternoon/evening today! Then tomorrow, I have my study group so I'll be very busy. Morning Violets~ I started this post about 20 min ago, but actually had a phone call from a student at 5:30am! Can you believe it? I answered the phone with, "It is 5:30am!"...that was my hello. She is back east, but still...get a freakin clue! Anyway, travel safely Judy! I have to only work today, nothing after school. Well...some good news. Remember the wood dresser amoir thingy we bought that arrived all jacked up? Well, the delivery guy has arranged for his woodsmith to come and fix it! At no cost to us! He came over last week, but will be back today to do the work! I am sooo excited, and very impressed w/ this delivery guys work ethic. I thought I'd never hear from him, but he called a few times last week and arranged it! So, I'll be home grading papers. No working out until Thursday (hopefully). I am starting my dissertation group again and we will meet on Wednesday nights! That will help get me focused. Between diss and Walden...I am ALWAYS on the puter. Not to mention my obsession w/ LBT and scrabble! LOL Laura~ I promise I did not get your surprise out back! That cracked me up! Everyone have a great day! xoxoxo Susie~ You are a very special person. Hey Violets~ What a great day! It started w/ mein schatz (my treasure) bringing me coffee in bed at 7:45! WOW...I must have needed it! I was really in a lot of pain this morning, both in my tummy and my back. Bad pains in back. Probably from all that sleep. We lounged in bed, watched the news...love that! Then we got up and picked up the dog poop (a favorite weekend passtime:crying:). There is the cutest little humming bird who did a really bad thing. She built her little nest in our wind chime which is about....OH...10 feet from where my doggy sleeps. Klaus is a 140 pound Rottie...who although is the sweetest little guy (he is such a mommy's boy), he tends to like to um, eat all the little birds. I hope he doesn't see the babies...at least until they fly away! Anyway, we cleaned the yard, and then we "played water"...which is his favorite spring, summer, fall passtime! It was 98 degrees here...so he was ready! We then came in, took showers, I made breakfast, did some Walden work, then we took a great drive! We went back to that Oak Glen area. We got my step mom all her goodies for Mother's Day, and Susanne's mom a couple of things. This year, we are making little "indulgent baskets" with little treats in them. Kathy, my step mom got some raspberry tea, raspberry candy sweet sticks as stirers, apple crisp cookies, personalized note cards, and apple butter! I'll put it together in a little basket thingy. She and my dad will be here in the next few weeks. Laura~ I found a little surprise for you. Something very small, but it screamed you and I couldn't resist. It will be mailed out tomorrow. Judy~ LOL, no more Kotex for me. Thanks so much for the ecard...that was too cute! Terry~ Loved the pix. Looks just like Lake Tahoe (south shore) where my dad keeps his boat. Mind you, he rents the slip...does not have a house there. Glad you had fun! Well, I need to go do some work. I wanted to work all day today, but sometimes you have to take advantage of all the blessed little opportunities God gives you. Taking that little drive and hanging out w/ my better half is one of those moments. When I am old and gray, I won't be thinking...I should have worked more, right? Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Susanne and I bought my brother an Ipod for his birthday. He came over and we got him all set up w/ itunes, etc. This is his first MP3 player...he loves it! Then he stayed and watched the movie, There will be Blood. I do not recommend it...good acting, but eh? Not for everyone. OK...gotta run! Have a great night everyone. Hopefully I won't be posting at 4am again.

Hey V's~ We are back from breakfast and a beautiful drive. The BMW had been in the garage for a few weeks, so we took it and cruised in the "dream neighborhoods". The "If I won the lottery neighborhoods...". It is 95 here and it was a beautiful morning. I had the best breakfast too. Scrambled egg whites, 4oz chic breast, sautee'd roma tomatoes (my fav) and avocado. OMG I loved it and ate all of it. Gonna call on Monday for a fill now that Friday is over w/. Anyway, it was supper yummy and healthy! Janie~Thanks for the card. That was soooo sweet. Someone sent me flowers too, and I am waiting for them to be delivered!!!! Hey Violets~ It is 3:50am and I am up...and have been up since about 3. I slept yesterday until noon 30 and now I am paying the price for that. Plus, I've pee'd all night. I am very swollen everywhere from the IV and all the liquids. Plus...uuummm...gassy! They gave me a shot of Pepcid and something else, plus Zophran for the nausea and all that = gas! Sorry, TMI I know. So I am up watching All My Children. Janie~ I sent you a PM:wink_smile: I hope that spider is LONG GONE! Spiders generally don't bother me too much. Not a fan or anything. What I hate are Palmetto bugs (big dark brown cockroach things, popular in the desert), and any lizard, rat, mouse thingy. 2 September's ago (2005), I had a big fat desert rat and her boyfriend move in. They came in through the kitchen...little bitch ate through the wall. I moved into a hotel for a week. The company came and set the traps...and caught 'em. Bastards were as big as my feet! Oh yeah, and I'll start crying ASAP if I see a snake! Good luck on the garage sale Haydee! I am gonna have another mini one in a few weeks. We've got a TV, surround sound, some other electronics, and misc household items since we put the 2 houses together. Kat~ Sorry about the wind I sent your way. It was blustering here for a week and a half, and it is finally quite. It is supposed to get up to near 100 tomorrow...and then back down to low 90's mid week...when more wind returns. So what can I ramble on about in the middle of the night??? Susanne has an appointment @ 8:30 for an MRI, then we are going to have breakfast somewhere...then maybe a movie. I feel pretty good. A bit crampy...a bit of bleeding...and a kick ass sore throat. Other than that I feel pretty good. I may crash out this afternoon, since I've slept sooo poorly all night. I have never ever ever not been able to sleep. Don't like it much. OK...I'll stop the ramble before I lose the post. Off to play scrabble... xoxoxoxox

Hey Violets~ Checking in! Doing ok...taking it slow. I have the worst sore throat...the longer the day goes, the worse it gets. I am sucking on a lozenge(sp) now, but I told Susanne Dairy Queen is in my future.:thumbup: TracyKS~ Hang tough. The next couple months I am sure DH will ebb and flow over the idea. You've got 2 trips in the next 3 months without him. He's probably a bit jealous as well as worried. Remind him why he fell in love w/ you in the first place. Went to church, got a special blessing from the priest afterwards for tomorrow! Got a car wash, went to Wally World (too much $$$ spent there), went to preop, then got labs and EKG, went to pay my co pay to GYN, went and checked the mail, went to another store to buy things that need the fridge (didn't want to buy creamer at Wally world and leave it in the car all morning...too hot here). Then came home, did dishes, hid the new clothes I bought (that's right...you heard me correctly...but I know she will find them anyway), and now I am checking in. She should be here in about an hour, so I am going to work on diss for a while. Do you all know that only Susanne and you all know I am still working on my dissertation. I never told my father or friends, in case I fail again at it. That is pretty cool. Have a good afternoon! Did anyone ever see Into the Wild? The movie about the guy in Alaska alone? Hey V's~ Tracy good luck tomorrow! I hope is goes forever!!! The procedure is actually Friday am @ 6am! Susanne will have my cell the 408 #. I should be home about noon and will post (or have her post) then. I should be ok...just need purple power for the biopsy. I came home, put on my workout clothes, and ate about 2 cups of Susanne's chips. My lapband friend from work calls chips "sliders or slider foods"...since they slide all the way down! Hey everyone, I have 15 more min of work...then an hour long meeting, then that is it! Planning for 2 days is tough, especially when I was out yesterday too.
