Susie~ This made me LOL! We wont be getting married today, or anytime in the next 2 years. We are not in a hurry, figure we will be together for the rest of our lives anyway. I am very happy to be a part of today. I think it is a wonderful day to be alive...and I am so very happy for people who are getting married. On the national news, there was a couple (guys) in Palm Springs who have been together for 53 years! One said, I got down on my knee to ask him to marry me, and I couldn't get back up! Anyway, they are getting married today:smile:. LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! You think kids are excited...you should see the teachers! I have a hot date w/ Susanne this afternoon, lunch and a movie! And when I say hot I don't mean sex swing hot...I mean really freakin hot!!! It was 114 yesterday and we are expecting a repeat performance! Ok...gotta go put my face on! What a day! Susanne showed up and surprised the hell out of me @ 10am!!! We unpacked and relaxed...it is sooooo nice to have her home. She was up @ 4am and was in bed @ 7:30! I cooked dinner and realized I don't think I've cooked the whole time she was gone. Remember, last time she was here was the day I left for TX. So, it has been a while! I reached a HUGE milestone in the diss process. I submitted my IRB (Internal Review Board) today! After my major faux pax yesterday...I feel great w/ this accomplisment. This is really a big deal...PLEASE KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED AND SEND ME PRAYERS AND PURPLE POWER. If this gets approved (which can and will take up to a month before the committee) I can start my interviews and collecting the data! The light at the end of this tunnel is pretty bright. I've never been to craigslist...I think I'll go look around there, not that I need to buy anything. I did something so freakin stupid today, I could scream (actually I did). I sent my diss chair the WRONG interview guide. She sent it back saying, "you didn't make any changes I suggested last week, I've re-sent it again today"...man she must think I am stupid. I never saw the changes she sent last week, so no...I hadn't made them. I spent the last 3 hours making these changes (no exaggeration) and re-sent it to her. I lied of course and told her that I sent her the wrong one by mistake. Jeez...not to mention the 2 hours I spent this morning getting my IRB packet ready to submit to her. All of this, and I didn't even work on chapter 3 (which is what I started out doing). Anyway...uuuugggg! I hate looking (being) stupid! Sleep well xoxoxox

Good Morning Violets~ Saddened about Tim Russert. I watch him all the time, and I like how he taught us all about politics. Just shows to go ya' "there but for the grace of God, go I." Well today is jazzercise @ 8:30, clean up the poop and play water w/ the big guy, and yes, I'll be wearing panties only. It is gonna be 110 again today. After my morning activities I'll be working on diss and some Walden stuff. Needless to say, I'll be in the house in the air! There is a bbq, poker party, etc today up the hill (which is Yucca Valley, where bro lives, 30 min away). I might go to that, but the jury is still out. It is a "we'll see" (Susanne always says that, man I miss her). I woke at 6:30! Love love love that! Have a great day... Hey Jenn??? WTH??? You can't just drop off the planet. LOL...I am home, but not buzzed!! I had 2 shitty margies (nothing like a Gruene margi) and it was SOOOO BLOODY HOT IN THERE...I kept sweating and never caught a buzz. I had a great time w/ everyone, but no buzz...and I ended up having 2 designated drivers. I was sitting there trying to think of what to drink...couldn't think of nuttin! OH WELL. So I get home and Susanne suggested that since Bob and Steph were still downtown at the bar, that I go over to their pool. So I did! I went over and stripped down to birthday suit and swam some laps, did some resistance stuff...and it felt great! I loved it and can't wait until we get a pool. Problem is w/ Klausy, we won't do anything until he ges to heaven. And we are in no rush! Also, we have 9 trees that need to be taken out...and the roots (that is gonna be sooooo much $$$). Again, we are not in a hurry! Gotta start saving now, haha! xoxoxoxo

LOL Susie, I have 15 min to go! The bell rings @ 1:50, I'll be home by 1:56, and then a friend will pick me up to go to the bar!!! Yeah, I have a designated driver!!! Hey Violets~ I am hella tired! I came home from school, worked on diss for a bit over an hour, then took a 30 min nap! I set my cell for 4:40 pm, woke up and dragged my tired ass to jazzercise! It felt good, but man...I feel like I am pushing myself. I think because it is sooo hot, and I am trying to get used to it! I took a nap (20-30 min) everyday after school this week. It's gonna be 110 tomorrow...and I have to be outside in the morning presenting 8th grade awards. Then, I need to teach 6th and 7th grade the rest of the day:willy_nilly::rolleyes2::willy_nilly:. There is sooo much bullshit drama at work this week..man, we teach middle school...WE ARE NOT IN IT! I got into it w/ the PE teacher and her hubby who is a teacher at our school. It was loud and heated...in front of kids. But, they are racists and make it their mission to PUNISH CHILDREN...and I dont! Anyway, we've made up...but I want to kick 'em both! Then when the secretary sent out the WRONG information for the agenda for tomorrow, I called him to say, hey...you left me and my department off the schedule! He said, well, it has been approved and sent out. I said, "well, I am going over your head on this...I was left off the schedule." Boy o Boy...if I have any friends after this week, it will be a miracle! :Banane52::dita::Banane42: Tomorrow we are going to a big TGIF. :biggrin::cheers2::Banane17::cheers2:I was talking to my Asst. Principal (I love her...she is the ONLY one who ever makes sense) and she said, are you gonna get drunk and tell everyone what you think of 'em??? LOL, I hope not! Anyway, I miss my sweetheart and can't wait to see her. She is a bit torn because of her aged mother and leaving her. I don't want to add to her pressure...but I NEED SOME ATTENTION! Poor poor pitiful me!

Tracy~ I LOL'd on that one. That was actually going around here too, only Palm Springs was inserted instead of TX. It is 106 here today...dry not too bad. Gonna hit 110 this weekend! Good Freakin' Morning Violets~ I can't stand it...we are so close! I have 6th grade reward day today!!! Which means a dance this afternoon! My study group cancelled, but I went to my friends house and was in the pool 30 min doing all these exercises, so that is good! What else is going on??? Oh yeah, Judy you missed Desperate Housewives when we were in San Antonio. I never saw the last show. Congrats to all of you sober gals who are not eating junk. I can not say the same...just too much going on! What ever my excuse is today. I miss Susanne so much and am soooo glad she will be home Monday! OK...gotta play scrab and put my face on!

I was up until 11:20 w/ her...thanks Terri. We feel right into our chat grove, like we've been old friends for years. That is what I love about the Violets. We have a good grove. All that was missing last night was a Gruene 'rita and that porch! Well, it is 7th grade reward day! Should be fun...except I teach 6th grade this afternoon, so I have to go back to the classroom. Gonna start breaking down the room today!!!! I really need a CTCD...need purple power to get through it. I am hoping to work out tonight...I fell to sleep watching the pregnant man on Oprah...and woke up at 5:20 (missed class, although I wasn't too keen on going). I went to NYC to be a hair model for Sebastian (Terri's hairspray) in 1988...many many moons and pounds ago. We had a blast!!! We stayed in friends tiny apartment in the west village. We went to the best clubs, all the sights, got robbed (they broke in 5 flights up on fire escape), and one morning I woke up in New Jersy (a long story for a margie on the porch time). It was a blast. But I really couldn't wait to go home. We were there 10 days. NYC is great, but if you are not from there...it feels like you are on another planet! Kat~ I was just arguing w/ M & M and started to laugh about what you said. Thanks for that!
