Terri~ I love imitation crab meat! It is great cause I can eat it, even though I am alergic to shell fish. I also love Cod too, it is such a low fat fish. The imitation crab meat (yes, that is what it is really called) is great w/ macaroni in a chilled salad. It is a great source of protien, is pretty band friendly (slides through easily) and is low cal! Sounds good!

Terri~ I think your sister is jealous of you! I agreee w/ Tracy...you are cute and she is not! LOL. I loved the earrings too. Your mom looks great and she is blessed to have great kids taking care of her in her "golden" years! I love you too and will miss you bunches! TracyK~ Good luck w/ the move! Loved the videos Laura~ I saw the Blue Angels lllllllooooooonnnnnnnggggg time ago, like in the late 80's! Tracy~We leave Monday at the (as you say) ass crack of dawn. We will leave Palm Springs @ 5am (so that means we will be up about 3). We will arrive in Ontario (CA) airport about 6:30-7am, return the rental car then wait...our flight leave about 10am. Then, we go to Salt Lake (short lay over) then to Cinncinatti (sp) for another short lay over...then off to Frankfrutt(sp). From Cinn it will take about 8-9 hours on the plane (which sucks). We "arrive" in Germany Tuesday morning!!!!! Yeah!!!! Then, on July 8 (day before my birthday) we will fly to Rome (1hour flight)and stay for 3 days, then back to Germany until the 14th. I will be sending post cards! We have 7:30 reservations w/ the guys who live in Cyd Charrisse's house. We are going to a German resturaunt, which is funny cause we will be there in person in a few days. These guys own a business called YOUR FAMILY NAME. We met them 2 years ago when we got my parents a crest gift for their 30th anniversary. The business is part of the National Historical Society and they look up family names, crests, etc. Great gift ideas, especially for the "hard to buy for" types. If anyone is ever interested, let me know. Other than that...this weekend is relaxing, packing, relaxing and packing some more. Ready for this...we are both only taking a backpack and CARRYON! Because of the 2 short lay overs, we are worried that we will arrive in Germany sans luggage. We are staying 1 hour away from the airport, so we don't want to take any chances. The good part is we are staying in our "own" apartment. Her friend is going to be gone at sisters house...so her house is "ours" for the 2 weeks. We can do laundry, etc so it will feel like a home, and not a hotel. In Rome we will be in a hotel! Anyway, that is my story. I am totally rambling now...have a great night everyone! My friend just called and she is in San Antonio now! JEALOUS! Wish we were!

UM...hello, wasn't done talking! Today I have a coffee meeting @ 8:30. A friend I used to sit on the board w/ @ the Cathedral City Chamber of Commerce called and wanted to "run something by me"! I am totally curious. Plus, I need to get out of the house on Thursday am so the cleaning lady can come! Then this afternoon, we are going to hang w/ Jackie and Melissa, our friends. WoW...What a time I've had! The concert was AMAZING...one of my top 10 (and I see lots of concerts). Great show! Yesterday, we stayed in the room ALL DAY! We ordered room service and did not leave the bed until 6 pm to make our dinner reservations before the concert...it was a great day! One of my students called me at 2am...yes, you read it correctly...2am. Lets just say I was pissed...and let her know it! Then she proceeded to argue w/ me that she was calling my "work phone". Hello. This is an online class. Does she think I have a VIRTUAL OFFICE somewhere in cyberland...where my "work phone" is plugged into. Anyway...I can still get hot thinking about it. Today, we had a great day. We went to my dear friends house. She has been an friend since I was 18! She has a 3 and 5 year old boys...wonderful kids...and a 3 mo. old little girl. We had a great day! She has this HUGE house 4200 sq. feet on a half acre about 20 min away from the strip. It was great to get away from here. We stayed all day, played...had bbq...just relaxed! Hey Ya'll~ We brought the puter to Vegas...and the internet is 14 a day...so I am gonna get my $ worth! Susanne is in the tub and we are bushed! Walked around and had dinner. I had grilled salmon, salad, 3 bites of mashed pots, and then about 6 fries (hers). Then we waddled over to hagen daz (sp) and you know the rest! We are not fighting anymore...thank god. Hey Vi's~ WOW...what an amazing couple of days! Benton is now a doctor...and it was so great to watch. I kept tearing up and I WANT IT SOOOO BAD! IRB has NOT been kicked back again...please keep sending Purple Power, it must be working. oxxoxo Went and met w/ all my dear old girlfriends tonight...and walked down memory lane all night. Buenos Dias Chicas~ I can't believe how hard I slept! I think I was mentally exhausted! I didn't change positions ALL night! I never do that! Today we are driving into La Verne, to the university I am going to. My friend Benton is defending his dissertation today!! We went through our course work together. He and I have the same dissertation chair, so it is vital I go and see this process, especially w/ her! Iam hoping to tape the defense. Gain some insights as to her questioning and what to expect. La Verne is 80 miles away, so it is gonna take up most of the day. Denise~ My prayers send to DD and DGS. Please tell him he has a lot of Violets sending him love and power!!! TracyK~ I never thought about it, but yes, my jazz lady must've gained some more. It does not look right. She works her ass off in class, is very fit, but...yikes! I am sooo busy today, after this post at almost 10pm...I still have to upload my papers and return 'em to students tonight. I have been up since 5...and we have been running all day! I did get some cute clothes today. Just some summer pieces...nothing too great, but some really cute tops and shorts:biggrin:. Everything fit today...and I had to get some smaller sizes than I thought. I do need some serious Purple Power! I got my IRB kicked back:frown:...already fixed it and sent it back off again. Send some purple power to the IRB Gods...I am seriously praying this gets approved. On the subject of TT...my jazzercise lady lost 100 pounds w/ diet and exercise, and got a TT. Now...well, she had a thick (no other way to splain it...just think under the boobs) and then flat right above her choo cha...but her choo cha is way chubby. I don't know if I splained that right...but she has a chubby choo cha, then is flat, then is chubby (if I were working up). The reason I know is she wears those really tight work out pants. Anyway, that is my 2 cents (did I even add any thing relevant to the conversation). OK...don't forget the purple power. We are gooing to a VA seminar for Susanne. Then some errands, an appt this afternoon, then...FIX MY IRB! Yes, I need to fix a thing about informed consent. Not sure yet, I read the email but couldn't deal w/ that now...so I will later. See, this shit NEVER ENDS! Then I want to workout later. It is 115 today, it is hard to motivate yourself in that. Laura, love the hutch! It looks beautiful in your home! I want a xani! Terri~It is passive aggressive. Also, her communication skills suck...and she knows it. It is her power trip over you. Making you look bad...by default, makes her looks good. You keep on keepin on...spend time w/ your mom...and don't let her know she gets to you (that gives her power). When she is pissing you off (like today) say, "Oh well...maybe next time." That will really piss her off that she DIDN'T get to you! This time is really about your time w/ your mom. Back from our great date~ Went and saw the Hulk which was very good, then out to a late lunch! It was so nice to hold hands w/ her in the movies. We always kiss when it gets dark in there! I love her and am soooo glad she is home! Laura~ There is a book called, Dyke Drama! Chicks love drama. And they love to create it too! Lesbians are famous for it. Susanne and I will have a row from time to time...but we don't call names...and we usually say sorry way before it gets too big! Terri~ OMG...I lovelovelove that pix. Especially cause I am pretty drunk wearing that hat...makes the pix all the funnier. When I cared for mom for 8 years and her father for 7 of the 8 years...I had it bad. I shared some stuff w/ you the other night. But, lets talk about siblings. During this time, my brother did NOTHING. He would show up at grandpa's 1-2 times a month and mom would act like he hung the freakin moon because of it. He one time said he'd meet me at the hospital soon...but instead, he played 18 freakin holes of golf, while I waited in the ER waiting room all day, starting at the door, waiting for him. HE NEVER SHOWED. He literally did nothing. I often was soooo angry w/ him. We got into once and he said, "if you don't want to be my family after this...that is fine w/ me, I'll walk away." This crushed me...after all I had been doing for HIS mom and HIS grandfather, whom by the way both left us w/ 3 HOUSES...AND A SHITLOAD OF $. We were to split it...but I did all the work.?????? Anyway...when mom died a year after grandpa, I totally checked out! I decided too. I smoked pot...and didn't give a FLYING SHIT about anything...yes, it was and still is the hardest thing I've ever gone through. It was then...when all the important stuff was going down, that HE stepped up. He did everything for us! He sold and took care of everything. He spent HOURS at grandpa's gooing through papers, 40 years of old papers, shredding stuff. He would come by school and bring me envelops w/ thousands of dollars, (no kidding...one time he brought me 12k cash from something we sold...and I don't even remember what we sold...told you, I CHECKED OUT). Anyway...long story long...he proved himself. We have since had many talks about it. He said he couldn't do it...whatever...but he has said thank you to me 100 times for taking care of mom and grandpa. He decided I got all the jewlery from mom and grandpa because of everything. He is now my best friend. He is my only family, besides a dad who a)is terminally ill, and :sad: was divorced and lived out of state for 35 years. I worry about my brother...now, I thank God for my brother. OOOOKKKK, enough of that! Just wanted to share my sib story! Haydee~ Good for you! I second what Tracy said, you deserve a committment. I am not giving advice...I am sending you a high five for letting him know that you are no doormat. Sometimes they need to see what they have to lose before they can see what they could gain! We love you, no matter how this plays out! Laura~ the jury is still out on that. I don't know if that would be the case, since now (between now and Nov) they were LEGALLY married. I know my dear friends, Jackie and Melissa are having their big family ceremony Mar 2009. But, they asked me to marry them (ya'll know I am an ordained minister, right? I need to get my license, but yes it is true.QUIT LAUGHING JUDY). Anyway, I'll marry them in a small ceremony in Oct...just in case it goes bad in Nov. I can still hear you laughing Judy!
