Hey girls~ Love Kathy G. She was at the hotel where Michelle and Haydee stayed in PS at the same time, remember girls (my bro said she rented out the upper VIP sweet). Going into work today...da da DUNNN!!! I need to make 2 batches of evil tomorrow. One for the surprise wedding I am officiating tomorrow (they are renewing) and one for BA who is having knee surgery Friday. I made one for her last year on her knee surgery and she said it made her all better. I am really looking forward to Violets West trip!!! xooxxoxoxo

Neither...we'll probably wear capris and flip flops. I would sooner die then don a wedding gown...in July...uuggg! Never been that kind of girl. Actually, I've never fantasized about a wedding or anything. We are doing it w/ Jenny and Annette. Jenny will wear a cocktail dress and high heels (she wears them EVERY day and says her feet hurt in flats) and Annette will prolly wear shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. The plan is for our friends to gather between 6-6:30 with the four of us, socializing w/ our families/friends and having a drink. Then we will watch the sun setting, and when it is ready, we will walk over to the overlook area and do up a double wedding...then back to the party area for dinner and dancing. VERY CASUAL...no walking down the aisle, and a "come as you are" theme. We are worried about the legal aspect...but are going to the location early in Sept or the last weekend (whichever works best) and then...we will see. off to grade!

Hi Girls~ Well...I think Susanne and I are going to get married on July 2, 2011. We are going to do it with Jenny and Annette, in a small intimate ceremony (about 20-25 total) in Claremont, CA. We picked the date last night, and have asked our friend Jackie to perform the ceremony (she will get a Commissioner for a day license). This will change IF it will not be legal, but we are planning as if it will be! Soooo...I'm engaged! haha We are going to church (yes, this will be her first time...she is kinda fighting it too haha). The guest speaker is from the marriage equality organization...and on the heels of Wed., it should be extra interesting. Then we are going to the movies. I wanted to see The Other Guys, but think we are going to see Middle Men with Luke Wilson instead. Laura, I saw your mom's pretty toes on Facebook...looks like Leslie may have found her niche. Michelle, enjoy breaky out!!! Jane, enjoy your NOTHING DAY!!! I know that those days are important to "recharge" your batteries. Lifetime movies make the day!!! YEAH!!!! I :party: Carson, our first Violet baby! Can't believe he is starting to talk w/ meaning!!! Well, I need to get off the funky train! I feel a bit better, so glad I jumped on it early. I think that was key. I am going to get a whopping cough shot for sure. If you work with kids or people they are saying to get a vaccination. Today we are meeting up w/ Jenny and Annette for a bite, then swimming. I need to hear all about her new job. I am bummed about my year....soooo bummed. Mainly because of the assholes I have lunch and prep with. Makes me sick to my stomach when I think about it. I have just gotta pretend that I don't care, and get through the year. 1/2 hour of meditative quiet is good for the soul...I would love that. I would like yoga, but have weak wrists, and cant bear a lot of weight on my wrists. So glad you enjoyed it!

OK...ended up downloading Such a Pretty Face by Cathy Lamb (ala Julia's Chocolates). Found out I am teaching 2 periods of ELD, 2 periods of LA strategic (low kids), and 1 period of Social Studies (to the strategic kids). UUUGGG. I am disappointed but am only sharing that with you. I will be "positive" and "upbeat" to everyone else...which you'll see on fb. But basically it sucks shit! OK...gonna hit the book w/ a pillow on the couch! xoxoox

Hello chicas~ I am still sickly...just enough to not want to do shit today! Gonna ride the funky train, then get in the pool later! I stayed up late and graded papers, so I have a reprieve today. I got the Wally Lamb book, I'll Fly Away at the dollar store. It is little stories about women in prison...told from their pt of view, so something like that! Anyone, I need a good book suggestion, along the lines of Julia's Chocolates or The Glass Castle! I like rich text and can't stand books that describe the countryside for 20 pages! Anyone, anyone??? OK..that is it for me! Have a great day! I think I am going into work on Wed to pick up the keys etc. AND SO IT BEGINS. We go to Vegas on Thursday to see Lady Gaga. Oh yeah...Susanne's mom surgery is the 19th. She'll go over on Tuesday or Wed. and I'll go over on Thursday the 19th and stay until Sat. It is a BIG deal. She has a mass that is between her colon and bladder and they have to fully cut her open. They have to turn her pace maker off during the surgery too. Sus is very nervous...I hate to see her worry. Hey Girls~ UUUGGGG! I am so sore from our adventure! When I was younger (in my 20's), I did a 1300 mile in 3 days trip...but it didn't hurt THIS bad the day after. I have a few errands to run, but that is it! I have a buttload of papers to grade too! That's what I get for having a bit of fun! School starts on Aug 30 with kids, but starts the week before w/o. I have a 3 day training on the 16th too...so it kinda starts then. My bff Jenny started yesterday w/ kids, but she is year round and will be off the ENTIRE MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND MARCH AND JULY AND STILL HAS 2 WEEKS OFF AT XMAS! We are all pushing for that schedule for the following year! That is so nice because you never get burned out, keeps teachers AND kids fresh! Cross your fingers for me! I haven't worked out since Sat and feel fat and slothy...uggg! I'll get back to it soon! Can't wait for the Violets West trip! I think I am gonna rent us a van to get around in, especially to Disneyland. I hope Susanne will be able to be here (I can't drive into LA...that shit is scary). We are waiting today to get the date for her mom's surgery. OK...off to do this and that, and more this and that! Can't wait to see EAT PRAY LOVE!!! Wish we could all see it together! oxxoxo

Hey V's~ LOVELOVELOVE the hair cut...and I am w/ Judy, you look hot! I know your hair feels full and sexy! Rock it girly! Up and not quite at 'em today. I tweaked my back the last week, and it seems to be a bit better (I say that VERY cautiously). I went to chiro on Tuesday and think he sprained me bad. How come nothing hurts in the pool? I will hobble in there and can do flips!??? Today is church, then packing for our minication to Lake Tahoe. BA has an annual Pirate Party near her birthday and National Talk Like a Pirate Day every year. You MUST be in costume to get in...and that is why we are driving to Tahoe to shop! When I was younger, I would've driven all night and shopped and came back...now it involves 2 nights in a hotel! We are staying at Circus Circus and got the room for 44 a night! Everyone have a great day! Pop in later! Have you heard this song...omg, I love it! Her voice is like butta!!!

Hey kids~ Janie, hope today is full of sunshine!!! Grease movie was fun! not a lot of people, but I enjoyed it! They've added cool little graphics to the song parts and I can't wait to own it! Today, I've got a pork loin in the crocker, Lifetime movies on, and we are going to swim and chillax. At 1pm we have a guy coming over to talk to us about solar paneling, etc. Otherthanthat...chillaxing!!! Michelle, how goes the later part of summer? What are the activities going on w/ the kids? Are you ready to get them back to school? Haydee, can't wait to see nursery pix!!! Judy, so the painful therapy pushed through the increased range of motion... Hey girls~ Jane, Tahoe is beautiful!!! I grew up there, every summer on my dad's boat (one of the perks of being a product of divorce). I actually got my first period there as well. I had so many dad memories there. Going to be nice to see it!! Laura, yay on the gym! Judy, boo on the nasty therapist...so glad you are making great progress! Haydee, can't wait to see pix of the nursery!! I think lavender is beautiful. How many rooms do you have in your house? So when Sophia grows up, will she move into her own room and you will keep the nursery as a nursery? I didn't see your house when we were there! Michelle, hope you are doing ok! Hey Girls~ Stayed up late and finished my book...now I am tired cause Susanne woke me up early to cuddle! That is ok..I'll take it! :cursing: Michelle, stay strong. I know it has been tough, really can't imagine. ((hugs)) Well, new on my front is that BA and I are driving up to Tahoe on Monday! It is 8-9 hours away. We are staying at the Circus Circus downtown Reno, will go shopping at the pirate store in Tahoe and beebop around Truckie and Tahoe on Tuesday, then come home Wednesday! We are gonna have dinner w/ my stepmom on Monday night! It should be funfunfun!!! Susanne will be in AZ w/ her mom and had planned to be there anyway, so this kinda worked out! Skipped the gym today :wub: I never want to skip two days in a row...that is where it gets bad. But I tweaked my back on Sunday...just don't want to retweak it. I will go tomorrow for sure!! OK...<3 you all!

Hey girls~ Haydee, the traffic school is for a bad California stop/roll as I was turning right on a red! F^&kers caught me on camera and the ticket was $560!!! Plus, I had to pay $57 for the privilege of going to traffic school, and then was supposed to pay the traffic school directly as well. I found one (through a friend) who does not charge teachers or military! Sucks sucks sucks...and has been an expensive "lesson". It occurred two days after getting back from TX! I tweaked my back Sunday and have been working out on it. Yesterday went to chiro and decided to skip this morning. So, I woke up at 7:40, and took my coffee to the back patio and read my book for 2 hours!!! Then took a quick dip (it was a bit cool). What a great morning. OMG, my book is sooo good! I should finish it today. I've never read a book this fast...it just reads this way. Like Me by Chely Wright. Yeah Laura on the gym!!! I am still LOVING working out...feel stronger and healthier. Haven't lost numbers but my doc said I've lost weight! (on sight only). I still love it, and am dreading going back to work when the workout schedule will suffer a bit! OK...off to do this and that! xoxooxox

Hey girls~ had a busy morning and can't believe that 11am is the first time I got on here. Up at 6, worked out, dr. apt at 8, then another in PS w/ the chiro. Home now to chill, read, and start traffic school. Right now, cause Sus is in the office, I am watching Real Housewives of NJ...omg, what a delish stupid show! I had never seen it, but my friend BA told me about it and now I am hooked! I am reading a wonderful book (a real book I borrowed) called Like Me, by Chely Wright. She is the country singer who is gay...what a book. I read almost 100 pages last night in a couple of hours!! Gotta work w/ on traffic school today! Uggg...I am in the mood for a cookie! have a great day! xoxoxoxo

Hi Girls~ What an exciting morning of talking...I love it! Sophia is a beautiful name (my friends daughter is Sophia or Sophie and she is a beautiful girl getting ready to start Senoma State in a few weeks). Sophia Isabell is sooo pretty!!! I love Isabella Marie too...omg, sooo pretty! Izzy is too cute! CAN'T WAIT TO MEET THESE LITTLE LADIES!!! The Kids are Alright was so great! It is in limited release but it is a national regular big movie with Juliann Moore and Annette Benning. It was a beautiful movie about families and the strength and vulnerabilities of them. Laura~ I love Haydee's suggestion about the quick pm and unfriending them...perfect! Haydee~ Ignore her, disengage, and talk to others when she is there. Telling MIL you don't care for her etc would kinda start drama. She is your mom and mil's friend...not yours! That is my two cents kids! Judy, I can't believe its been 2 weeks almost either!!! Glad you are mending well! Michelle, congrats to the team for making it to the semi finals... How is DS feeling? I hope she jumps right back on the proverbial horse and gets back to life!!! What an exciting time for her! Did you have the talk? Janie, I sent you an email. Hope your day goes well today at Sally's. Are you a receptionist there or a stylist? I always wanted to work in a salon as a receptionist. Wear cool clothes, always have great music on loud, make appointments...always sounded like a fun job! OK...today is just this and that. I am LOVING my church...it is so thought provoking and mindful...can't wait to go back each week. The "real" minister is off until Sept (I think) and so during the summer it is speakers on various topics. Yesterday's was Don't Believe Everything you Think, but Do Think About Everything You Believe. It was powerful!!! Next week, the speaker will be someone who went to Haiti after the big earthquake to work the relief efforts. Kinda cool...loving it!!! Ok...off for now! My bff from elementary school scanned and posted a few pix from 1982 of my mom, me and bro on my facebook page. It was soooo cool to see these pix...I was and am a babe, but it was great to see my mom! xooxxoxo

It was one of the best movies I've seen in a LONNNGGGG time! We laughed, we cried and at the end we needed to sit there for a minute just to process it. It had a great soundtrack too, lots from Uh Huh Her (alice from L words band). loved it!
