Good Morning! First day of school, I am at my desk and all the babies are coming in. I think I am gonna be a lot less grumpy w/ this group than last year w/ Manuel. I have all 6th graders and they are a bit sweeter cause they are new to the middle school level. Have a great day!

Terri~ Your post made Susanne and I both cry. Thank you for keeping us posted. I barely remember the first few days after my moms passing...purposeful numbing you could say. Terri~ What can I say that hasn't already been said! I stared at my mom for the entire weekend (actually Labor Day weekend too) and the 3 hours I closed my eyes, she passed. I would love Dan to win, however, he has MANY enemies...so who knows. I also like Keesha or Renny. Would prefer not Jerry or Memphis...don't think they've "played" enough game. Off to Costco to get steaks for tonight. Anyone need anything, lol, I wish it was that easy! Spent the morning w/ my online classes already. They are soooo sweet, many are 23-25 years old. I have one student who is 53 and another about my age, but so far just newbies. I really like working w/ them. Many are first or second year teachers. Like me, I worked one year, then started my Master's degree...but I was 29 years old my first year! Have a great one!

Hey Violets~ Can you say LLLAAAZZZYYY! Yesterday we broke out the air mattress in the den and laid (or is it layed) out here and watched tv all day! I made roast and caulliflower and then...back to the bed. I took 2 naps yesterday and still managed to sleep nearly 9 hours. I guess it was time to catch up. Waiting to hear, but hope you are having fun. We are having Susanne's retirement party tonight. I originally was planning a bigger party which she did not really want. So, Monday night when we were in the pool, I asked about a small dinner party at our fav. resturaunt. When I called Rob and Charles they suggested a BBQ at their house (Cyd Charrese's). So, we are having a total of 8 people for steaks, salad...and cocktails! I will email a link to some pix so ya'll can see my new 'do and everyone. So today, we are cleaning up the dog poo (I know ya'll are jealous...poo of a 140 lb dog is um...large to say the least). Klaus is 8 or 9 years old. Poor baby, used to sleep in my bed for the first 5 years, and has been outside since the night before my mom died (9-7-04). He has an enclosed patio, a bed, blanket, and a 1/4 acre yard to run and play in. It is not quite the situation he had in the beginning...but it will have to do. Love Big Brother. I am up and moving slow today. Last night Steph called and brought Susanne and I sundaes from McDonalds...and a cookie, it was 9:30pm! Naughty Naughty...and I slept poorly because of it! I love my Secert Santa! Well, I love all the Violets. CAN NOT WAIT to get shopping! Everyone have a great weekend. Hey Ladies~ Holy crap...I've been so busy, I barely have time to read the LBT thread, let alone books for pleasure. Unless, of course, you consider dissertations "pleasure reads". One day, I will read books again. I did get through 2 "no brainers" during the summer...Jackie Collins and Danelle Steel. Did not care for the Steel book...but read all of it. Usually I read half a book. Right now, I am in the "middle" of Secret Lives of Bees, Friday Night Knitting Club, and Five People You Meet in Heaven! Knitting is good, but slow and the other two were great, but I am too busy!:biggrin: Perhaps I'll finish my books next summer. Sat through an all day training...OMG, that sucked sooooo bad! Boring and painful. My fat ass sat on a bench designed for a 12 year old ass...bad bad bad! Have a great night everyone. I am gonna watch our next president's speech! (love ya Laura). The other night when Hillary spoke, Susanne and I cried. It should have been her. But I also like him, so it is win win! Yes, I am that passionate about it. Buenos Dias Violets~ Another day here!!! I came home from work and Susanne had dinner ready! I only had to make my salad...I love that. Oh yeah, all the laundry was done, the house perfect, and she was ironing. Man, I got it good:biggrin: I came home from work, worked on homework for 30 min, then worked on Walden for 4 hours!!! Morning Violets~ Today is the first day back...officially. We have kids on Tuesday but the next 3 days is meetings, in-services, etc. Went skinny dipping last night again...it was great! We want a pool in a few years (we have Klaus the rottie). It was sooo nice. Oh well... Have a great day!

Cleaning Poem I asked the Lord to tell me Why my house is such a mess. He asked if I'd been 'computering', And I had to answer 'yes.' He told me to get off my fanny And tidy up the house. And so I started cleaning up... The smudges off my mouse. I wiped and shined the topside. That really did the trick... I was just admiring my work.. I didn't mean to 'click.' First, let me say TracyK~ I am soooo sorry I forgot to post this morning about Macy this am! She was beautiful...and I am sure you were sooo proud! I thought about you all day, and felt like shit that I forgot to post. Michelle~A while back, we sent out these "what are you up to emails" to each other. One of the questions were: "What are you not?" and you replied: "happy". I thought about that response for a while, wondering what you were unhappy about. I hope you find whatever it takes to lift your fog. I love seeing my shrink although I havent seen him in a while! As your friend, all I can say is find your happiness honey. Life is too short to not get what you need out of life. Whether it is serving your family or yourself...find your "happy place"...and go there!xoxoxox I've been too busy and I feel bad cause I've missed many personals.
