Good Morning Violets~ Back to School Night has come and gone. I bought a boat load of cookies and only had 6 parents show! It is hard on my families. The paper the school sends out says please "parents only", but the kids come in anyway. Even w/ a small group of parents...I had them laughing, and not at me, so that is good. I've been too swamped and trying to adjust to the new schedule. I need to build in exercise, and balance it w/ 2 jobs and the diss. I haven't worked on diss in 6 or 7 days...hate that. One thing I know for sure...IT WON'T WRITE ITSELF! Oh well...enough of me blahblahblahing. Kat and Laura~ Well wishing and healing purple power. TracyK~ You just need to do what you need to do to get back to normal now. You can GYAIG in a few...you have enough to worry about. Is dh back to work? Any word on Macy's school? Kat...please take your cell and call or text one of us to post for the rest of us! What ever the outcome...your health is #1! Michelle~ I highly recommend you "see someone"...not a counselor, but a psychiatrist. I learned SOOO MUCH about myself "on the couch". It was valuable and I use many of the tools I gained daily. Do not waste your time w/ a counselor, in my opinion. At the psych. we did this test thingy first day...and made more progress in 1 hour, than in 6 months w/ the couselor. OK...back to work! Pamela

Hey V's~ I am finally on...I tried bunches last night! I hope everyone is well. OK...I got it...GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR! LOL! I just got a text from Haydee! Still no power and has to conserve the generator so she can't use her cell much! She misses us...and I know we miss her. All the violets being together...thank goodness we have our trip to look forward to. I need to GMAIG too! Maybe go on a bike ride tonight w/ my better half. I need to get the VJJ used to the seat. It only takes a few days! Man, just had a great math lesson on the Properties. I love it when I am "on". I was observed for 15 min so I planned a kick ass lesson...it rocked! Kat~ LOL @ Rick! We don't just love you cause you have a band! HAHA...how cute. I wonder what our spouses think. Last night, Susanne was telling Steph that, "she is always on w/ the violets!" LOL...Band or no band...we are stuck w/ each other for life! Lunasa~ Let your tummy rest a few weeks then reschedule the apt. It is ok...I'vbeen unfilled 2x because I was too tight. Now, I have not lost much weight, which is completely my fault. But after a few weeks of rest, you will be back in "fighting shape"! I hate that a couple of our Violets are sick ((Kat)) ((Laura))! Some are displaced ((TracyK))! Some are MIA ((Haydee))! Some are suffering from guilt and grieving ((Terri))! Some are struggling with family stuff ((Denise))! Hang tough Violet Sisters! I am just hoping that sooner, rather than later, we all heal from this shitty month. Thats right, I've said it. Susanne is off joining a community softball league. The house smells yummy since the sauce has been cooking since early this am. I took a batch and some pasta to our friends...She was shocked! Terri and Haydee everything all right w/ you. Haydee, did you have structural damage? I've got a boat load of stuff to do today. My Walden students are submitting their first papers (which require a lot of extra "suggestions" for their next papers. I've got 35 students (at last count), and they are all 3-4 page papers...:frown::frown: Then I need to work on diss. I've taken a break for 3 days and it is too easy to get out of the habit. During, I am making spaghetti sauce. My friend who broke her ankle and arm in Greece this summer (I think I told you about her). So I am making her a jar of sauce and some pasta. Also, it is Sus's fav...and I do like it a bit as well. I make it real meaty, so I only eat the sauce and a green sal. Have a great day everyone! I'll check back when I need a break! xoxoxoxoox

Hey All~ Wonderful news about our sistas! TracyK texted me and said to tell everyone they got word that there is no structural damage at their house...she was beyond relieved. I am sooo glad to hear the good news from everyone. Was there damage to Haydee's new home? Or just in the 'hood'? So glad everyone is safe!xooxoxoxxo Had a fun relaxing day here. Soooo glad to hear from the girlies...well 2 of the 3! I have been sooo scared for you all! I know a fill wont help w/ Coldstone....Man, I never even liked ice cream as much! I eat such smaller amounts...but still too much! Smaller compared to other plates. Sometimes I can put it away. I can eat a shitload of salad (very good thing) and meat. I like that. I would imagine if I could exercise I'd be in good shape. But my appetite is still there and kickin too. Sometimes I get soooo freakin hungry that it hurts! Kat~ are you still completely unfilled? I wonder what has got you feeling sick. Usually 3-4 mornings a week I am nauseated. I sip on a diet 7up and it really helps. Feel better and stay worm. I've heard skinny people are always cold, lol:wink: Michelle~ Have fun and take pix. I am sure you look purty too...hey, if it is not your wedding...it is not as important how you look, lol! WOW Texas girls...good to hear from you Terri!!! Anyone hear from Haydee. I also don't want to call her, but just hoping everyone is safe w/ minimal damage to their properties. ((hugs)). We went to bed so late and Sus woke me up at 6am to go for a bike ride! I bought a bike a few weeks ago. Soooo, I was up in tennis shoes and out the door at 6:25. We went around a big block...man I am out of shape. The worst part is the, um...how shall I say this...MY V-JJ IS SCREAMING!!! That hurts soooo bad. I got a cool gel seat, but that does nothing. I need to ride the bike everyday for a short bit to get "her" used to it. Anyone know what I am talking about? The whole area feels bruised! She came home w/ me and then downtown about 5-6 miles one way to check our mail! Rock on Susanne...I am gonna check my Violets and drink some coffee. Have a good Sat. Prayers to our Texas girlies! Life is funny! We had a nice turn out go to the movies today. The movie was great and the vibe was greater!!! Then Susanne, Steph and I went to eat and then to Coldstone...GETTING A FILL NEXT THURS. Anyway, Sus and I are driving home talking about how blessed we were to have such great friends, and a beautiful life, blah blah blah...and how glad we were that Beth could go to the movies too. She has twin 7 year olds so she doesn't get to do too much w/ us. I was talking about going on Facebook and telling her how glad I was she came. Well... We get home and get a call from Cathy. Cathy and Beth are probably my dearest "real life":wink: friends. Cathy said she was on her way to Beth's house...she had been robbed. The house was ransacked!!! Stuff was everywhere. Ready for this...someone took a poo in her bidet! Well, this is the silver lining. Beth's dh comes home and notices a truck in their drive way. He pulls up behind it (blocking it...so they couldn't get out). We walks up to the door, and notices it is hanging by the frame (they kicked it in). As he walks in, he sees his back door close cause I guess someone was the "lookout". The TV (flat screen) and computers were in the process of being taken out...being placed by the back door. They had a huge backpack full of all their checks and check books. Jewlery was taken and thrown about. Thank God the kids were w/ friends. Anyway...we went over and started cleaning. Long night and scary for our friends here and in Texas. I am watching now...God girls...stay safe! Have a good safe and secure night.

WoW I went to post earlier and the site went away! I just wanted to say how truly blessed I feel to be a part of such an amazing group of women. We travel through life TOGETHER...everything from births, deaths, natural disasters, retirements, losses, successes, ups and down (both on the scale and off), arguments w/ spouses, ailing family members, surgeries, tears, pain, laughter and such great joys...and everything in between. I am thinking of my Texas sisters. If you can, please let one of us know how your doing. We come in all shapes and sizes (yes, you know who you skinny bithces are:wink:)...from all different backgrounds, political views, orientations and religious ideologies. Buenos Dias Violetas~ I am pooped...and it is 5:50am! I've got Lucy on and she is not giving me the jolt she did yesterday! Not much going on...settling into the routine nicely. Yes, Kat...I love my kiddos this year, so far! They are great, sweet and I am enjoying the grade and pace of instruction. I am very busy at work which makes the day FLY by! The kids leave at 1:50 pm...and I am usually going home by 2:30 or 3. On Thursdays, I'll stay late and make all the plans for the following weeks...and the copies. I need to workout, feel it everywhere. I will get back on it soon. My goal (sorry if I am boring ya'll w/ the diss talk...just skip ahead) is to have ch. 4 and 5 done by Oct. 3rd. My chair person is in Greece until then. She sent all her students an email and said "I hope to see some chapters when I get back". How is that for motivation! Have a great day...I am zoning out on Lucy and need to put my face on.

Hey V's~ OMG...I have worked on my diss from 3:15 until 8:10 pm. I did manage to eat a boat load of food, and pop over here from time to time. I am fried! But all the quantatative data is analyzed and now so is the qualitative data is too! My goal is to start writing it out tomorrow (am already a day or two behind). Oooo yeah, the Notebook, aaahhh! My friend and I sat here and cried and cried. We got tired of getting up for tissue, ended up bringing the roll of TP to the couch! I loved that movie. Wanna talk tear jerker...Broke Back Mountain. I cried so hard, I couldn't leave the theater for 10 min, then went to the car and had a ciggy before leaving and cried some more. That scene w/ the two shirts makes me tear up even now! Gonna watch the rest of bb and play scrab. I should get off the puter, but that is not gonna happen. Have a great night! xoxoxoxoxoxo
