Hey Violets~ Well today after school, we are driving into LA to see Madonna at Dodger Stadium! I am very excited...I've wanted to see her since, well, since the beginning! We are going to be sitting with my asst. principal and his wife. We went to George Michael w/ them...they are fun! Then I am taking tomorrow off! It will be nice to sleep in and relax a bit! Perhaps take in an early movie. In LA there were huge protests about the gay marriage ban. Thanks Judy...that letter was great! My friends daughter is very active in GSA and will share it w/ them. :w00t:Morning Violets~ We had soooo much fun last night! Dinner, drinks, laughing, drinks, dancing, drinks...well, you get the picture! Was just a wonderful night w/ our new friends. This is a couple I met 3 weeks ago at Susanne's softball game. They've been together 15 years, travel tons, have a condo in P-Town (gay mecca we went to last year on Cape Cod) and we just really get along great! We got home at 12:30 and we left first! Wonder if the girls are gonna be ready for the parade??? I forgot to set the clocks back...so I have been up since 5:10am!!!:cool2::w00t::mad2:But we were able to stay in bed, drink coffee, and relax. That is one way we, as a couple, really connect weekly. It has become a very important part of us. Just lounging on Sunday morning and cuddle and watch the news (I mean all this in a TOTALLY g-rated way:wink:). Anywho...busybusybusy...thinking of taking the day off tomorrow. Probably will talk myself out of it cause I loves my chilren this year...seriously, they are great! I should wait until I have some major revisions then I'll take the day off! Off to chill before the parade! Oh yeah...I am saving up on YoVille to buy a house!!!

Morning~ It is PRIDE WEEKEND in ol' Palm Springs! All the gay folks are a flutter! It is actually pretty fun, and this being Susanne's first one being "out" we are gonna do it up!!! Tonight a gaggle of lesbians are going out to dinner (only 7, and 1 of the girls is straight, but gaggle sounded cute). Starting here at 6 for cocktails, cab rides down town, then dinner and dancing! Should be fun! Then tomorrow early, Susanne, Jackie and Melissa are in the parade...then they have to work a booth at the pride festival for their softball team in the afternoon tomorrow. Busy weekend!!! But fun and long over due for her. Tracyk~ you did great on the weight loss. 4 pounds a month is good, average 1 pound a week. Healthy and steady...and STILL A NON SMOKER!! Hey V's~ Just popping in. We have the officer Drug (as in Dont Do) lady here. WOW, that is a really bad sentence. I am sooo sleepy. I gave a spelling test and kept fumbling the words, lol. The kids at this point are laughing at me. After lunch, which is at 10:30, we are having cookies and our potato presentation. Last week we decorated the potatos and they had to "go on adventures" w/ their potato and make a scrap book. You wouldn't believe the projects...sooo cute. Wish I could share w/ you...they are adorable. Anywho, the kids will present the projects later. Then we are writing scary stories, then using the X and Y coordinates to graph pumpkins. I'd rather take a nap...but gotta make it til 2pm. Ya'll post something, I need to stay awake.

OMG...I am tired! HAPPY HALLOWEEN We had the festival last night! I raised some serious $$ for our field trip but work our (Susanne...was a HUGE help) butts off. My bro and the gf (back together thank God) and the kids came...it was great! Since we "sold" all our fish early, we were able to walk around w/ the fam and enjoy the festival! I was very pleased w/ the night! But now...I am too pooped. I was gonna FINALLY wear my Flava Flav hat...but for some reason, I don't want to even deal w/ it! I think tonight is gonna be dinner and a scary movie! I can't even type well, I keep correcting many typos! I also loved the margie thing...couldn't copy and post it fast enough to my Violets! I read Judy's post as I was chomping down on "BITE SIZE" Snickers. Susanne is always after me about "doing too much for people" as well. I am very generous (even w/ her) and it is both w/ time, love or gifts. I love to give stuff...it makes me feel good. I am not looking for "wow Pam...that was nice" but I like to do stuff for people. I am far too generous w/ my neices and nephew (whom I get to see tonight!). I also like to make food for people or entertain people. But, I do manage to balance it w/ plenty of "me time" as you all know. :biggrin: We have our Harvest Festival tonight. 6-8 pm we are running the "live gold fish" booth. WE are trying to raise $ for our trip to the Museum of Tolerance in LA. It makes for a long day, but it is tons of fun too! BBL xoxo
