NINE WORDS WOMEN USE (1)Fine:This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. (2)Five Minutes:If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. (3)Nothing:This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine. (4)Go Ahead:This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! (5)Loud Sigh:This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.) (6)That's Okay:This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake. (7)Thanks:A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever'). (8)Whatever:Is a woman's way of sayingF--YOU! (9)Don't worry about it, I got it:Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.

LOL Michelle~ Enjoy the mid day margie sweetie! Can you say, "nap"? xoxoxo Sunshine (do we know your real name) hang tough. Sounds like you have a lot going on. Congrats on not turning to food...I suck at that, seems to be the first place I go in stress. Hope you have a restful holiday. Susanne dislodged her bladder and had to put a sling in it. Good luck w/ all that! ooxoxoxo I've tried to buy 4 things for my secret santa person...and everything is out of stock:frown:. I must have good taste. That sucks though...still looking!

Morning V's~ I am up and getting ready for work! I feel much better, but am still stuffed up and have a sore throat...but nuttin' I can't work through. I got sooo much done yesterday, I feel like I've lost 20 pounds (when actually, I munched all day while working...probably put it on). What a weight that stress puts on you. I HATE STUFFING!!! YUCK YUCK! I hate cranberries too and apple pie! Honestly! I only like white meat, gravy, brown and serve rolls, mashed pots, and pumpkin pie! I don't like ANY pie 'cept pumpkin! I can 'do' a chocolate pudding type of pie, but not the crust! LOL...pretty picky for being a "plump princess". Susie~Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us! We are the support group...so yes, you've been involved w/ a daily support group! ((hugs)) Keep us posted! I went through it and until you are ready to deal with things (good, bad and ugly) about yourself...don't waste your time. Also, I was told the band only helps w/ 50% weight loss...so you've done great! Be proud and trudge forward! Well, I don't know if I shared this w/ you all or not. Susanne and I are going to Reno to see Dad. His health has been poor (getting worse). My sis and her bf and Sus and I are going up there (my sis lives in Dana Point, CA). Anyway, I called my step mom yesterday and put it out there that if it is too much to have 4 people in the house (even though we are the "children" at this age, we are still guests), that Sus or Sus and I would not go. She said she and dad wanted us both...so we are going as of now. She will let us know for sure by Monday...in case his health is not ready for company. I feel really bad about it too...but am excited to see dad again! My nephew will not be joining us as we planned. Gotta call Expedia about changing his tix. Anywho...that is my story! xooxxoxooxxoox
-
Tracy~ Take care of yourself! Sorry you are going through this. Is it both ends (food poisoning) or just a bug? You don't think it is related to band? I've worked all day on diss. I AM 80% DONE W/ CH. 4 EDITS!!! OMG...it is double the original length. I am crippled from this shitty chair...but I am determined. Back to it.. bbl

Yeah on the normal mammo!!!

Home sick...gonna try to do some homework! TracyK~ PURPLE POWER girlie...keep us posted!xooxoxxo

You never punish a child with food or sleep. These are human needs and negotiations as in punishment sends a very bad message. I agree w/ Judy, you punish w/ "rewards" not "necessities". High Five! and xoxooxxo
-
Hugs Judy~ He is very lucky to have had parents like you and Bob. And you are probably the only reason he is doing as well as he is. I can imagine it is tough...but remember all the blessings you both have given him that he would not have had!xoxoxo UUgg! I have a 2 hour meeting from 2-4...and I feel soo achy. Got my plans done and am ready to sleep in tomorrow! xoxoxoxo

Terri~ I love that. It was copied and was passed around here. Times are sooo different!
-
Hey Violets~ Yup Kat, I couldn't get on last night either??? Not sure what is going on! I woke up feeling worse?? I have a bad sore throat and an achy heavy head. This totally sucks. I have a 2 hour state meeting today but then I am coming home and resting. Yesterday, I had a doc (feet) appt. I sat in the waiting room for 45 min., realized there was someone in front of me still...and I was there for a 30 min appt.( casting my feet for new orthotics). I sat in the FREEZING COLD waiting room...and I think I got sick (er). I finally told the gal I needed to reschedule this appointment, that I was sick and freezing, and did not have the time to wait anymore. OK...off to another day of work! I hope it is a gentle day. Some days are easier than other!! Have a great day!

Hey I never told you all about the 7th graders caught drinking on campus too. I know I mentioned the 6th graders. Also, on Friday, a student assulted a teacher (who is in her 60's), slapped her three times (1 hard) in the head!!! It was a real weird Friday! Gotta love middle school!
-
WOW...tons of people on the thread now!
-
Madonna was 2 hours late for us too!
-
It is going be 90 here today? Then we are having a "cold front" come through...gonna get all the way down to 80 by Sun...BBBUUUURRRR!! I am feeling 100x better, but am still very sick. I might take Wed off and rest. I was sooo sick on Sat, but I did all my homework goal, so didn't get much rest. W/ Susanne gone all week, it could mean an I Love Lucy marathon in my future:biggrin::smile2::biggrin:

Hey V's~ Man, I am glad I found you. I thought you all received Judy's cryptic message and I was left out! LOL, I don't know what the prob was...could not get on since yesterday morning! I texted Judy and TracyK in a panic (haha) Yesterday, I slept until we went to Susanne's game! They won 10-4...still undefeated! Then we went to Chinese w/ Jackie and Melissa (the brides). I did great, only ate 1 of the Moo Shu Pork thingys...they give you 4! So I have one 1/2 for lunch and dinner. Susanne is going to Phoenix for the week! She is gonna visit w/ her mom which is good. I will miss her, but I am really glad she can enjoy this time now. Jane~ The cut is $60, the color is $80, I bought a Bumble and Bumble product (the entire store is Bumble and Bumble), and that = 168! Plus I paid a $20 tip. It is an upscale salon in downtown Palm Springs. So, the price is part of the location as well. But, I look fabulous!!! Have a great day everyone! Love you...and am glad I found you again! xoxooxoxxoxo

Hey No Fair~ I get on @ 10am...and you all have been chatting up a storm! I feel a bit better today. Yesterday, when I laid down for a nap, I actually felt my body being sick...or the meds fighting it. It was weird. Terri~ Susanne drives to March Airforce base in Moreno Valley since that is the nearest commisarry. She really loves her hairdresser and so when she goes, she usually gets her "do" done, shops, goes to the PX and runs by the Nike outlet too! I got a new white pair of Nike's yesterday too! The cost for her hair is great! She paid $60 w/ tip. I paid $168 last week, plus a $20 tip!!!:wink2: But I love my guy too and I am not changing! TracyK~ the cookies were really good! What was the best part was dipping them into coffee this am! Laura~ That was funny! I know what my Violet likes, just couldn't remember who my violet was??? Now I know and have been "looking around." What do I like??? I like earrings, bracelets, soaps, coffees, ANYTHING W/ SUGAR (no no),books, picture frames, going to the movies, lots of stuff. I have a Rottie, my fav colors are purple (violet) and green. OK...gonna relax before her game. I just made breakfast and was able to eat some of it. Usually I make it, PB it, and Klaus enjoys it! Have a great day! xoxoxoxo

Hey V's~ Terri, actually I haven't been "sick" since last winter (although I can't remember it). I have been healthy as an ox...but there are days when I feel crappy, and yes, that is from too much, lol! Fall has a lot of crappy days w/ the temps going up and down all the time. Beautiful day today and is gonna be great for a week. I worked my ass off today and got done what I needed to get done, so I am in a holding pattern now until I hear feedback from my chair. xoxoxoxo

Back from doctor~ got 10 days of antibiotics...feeling pretty sick. But while I was waiting for the perscriptions, I remembered Susanne said she wanted me to make her Oatmeal cookies. I've never made them (can't remember making any cookies from scratch...thank goodness for the roll) so I opened a can of oatmeal in the store to read the reciepe. I had to buy all the stuff, I didn't flour, fresh baking soda, vanilla, oatmeal, raisins. The only things I did have were eggs, and cinnimon (sp). So, I decided to bake her some cookies. MAN, I'LL PROCRASTINATE WITH ANY PROJECT TO AVOID HOMEWORK. They are smelling the house up really nicely, but I am not in the mood. Really want to lay down, but need to start. On the bright side, I found an I Love Lucy marathon on TV Land!!! Have a great day!

Hey V's~ Woke up sick and pissed. I need to do homework all day, and now I feel like shit! Going to post this, finish coffee and hussle off to clinic (I think...may change my mind and wait until MOnday) Pissed though...I don't have time to feel llike shit! Kat~ Your aunt is "old school" and Terri is right, in the old days (waaayyy before our time) it was insulting. I would just shrug it off, and in your next TYPEWRITTEN letter, mention arthritis and how you can't hold a pen...haha, that might shut her up! Tracy, loved the bakers rack! Looked very nice! Laura~ I AM PSYCHED for Christmas too! I was thinking while Susanne was gone today, I'd throw up the wreath on the door and put out a few decorations. I already bought the Christmas tins to put the cookies in for friends!!! We only get real trees, so it will be a while for the tree! I am afraid that if my dad dies before Christmas, then I wont want to celebrate it...so I am getting it going early! OK...gonna start my journey to the clinic...or not, not sure!

OMG...what a day! 1 hour and 5 min to go. The kids today are sooo funny and of course, I can not keep a straight face. I wonder why I am never nom'd as TEACHER OF THE YEAR???
-
There were about 15 kids caught drinking here yesterday! These are 6th graders! LOL, many of there are the "doctor's kids" and none of them were my little angels!! HAHA...drama!
-
WOW... it is in the upper 80's here...and is gonna stay that way for the entire extended forecast. Trip to Palm Springs anyone!

THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE READ IN A LOOOONNNGG TIME! I CAN HEAR YOU ALL LAUGHING FROM HERE! Little Carol came into the kitchen where her mother was making dinner. Her birthday was coming up and she thought this was a good time to tell her mother what she wanted. "Mom, I want a bike for my birthday." Now, Little Carol was a bit of a troublemaker. She had gotten into trouble at school and at home. Carol's mother asked her if she thought she deserved to get a bike for her birthday. Little Carol, of course, thought she did. Carol's mother, being a Christian woman, wanted her to reflect on her behavior over the last year, and write a letter to God and tell him why she deserved a bike for her birthday. Little Carol stomped up the steps to her room and sat down to write God a letter. LETTER 1: Dear God: I have been a very good girl this year and I would like a bike for my birthday. I want a red one. Your friend, Carol Carol knew this wasn't true. She had not been a very good girl this year, so she tore up the letter and started over. LETTER 2: Dear God: This is your friend Carol. I have been a pretty good girl this year, and I would like a red bike for my birthday. Thank you, Carol Carol knew this wasn't true either. She tore up the letter and started again. LETTER 3: Dear God: I know I haven't been a good girl this year. I am very sorry. I will be a good girl if you just send me a red bike for my birthday. Thank you, Carol Carol knew, even if it was true, this letter was not going to get her a bike. By now, she was very upset. She went downstairs and told her mother she wanted to go to church. Carol's mother thought her plan had worked because Carol looked very sad. "Just be home in time for dinner," her mother said. Carol walked down the street to the church and up to the altar. She looked around to see if anyone was there. She picked up a statue of the Virgin Mary, slipped it under her jacket and ran out of the church, down the street, into her house, and up to her room. She shut the door and sat down and wrote her letter to God. LETTER 4: I GOT YOUR MAMA . IF YOU WANT TO SEE HER AGAIN, SEND THE BIKE. Signed, YOU KNOW WHO:biggrin::tongue2:

Judy, really funny dream! I LOL'd at the long curly eyebrows! You do know that we secretly meet all the time and the plans are cryptically encoded in our posts...haha (I for one, am not that smart). Haha...thanks for the giggle! Haydee~ WHO DID YOU SEE??? And is there a pic ANYWHERE of you in your ballgown??? I want to see it~! Glad you had fun! I hope the margies "eased the pain". Tracyks~ Glad you are gonna be feeling better soon! Jane~I've done that...woke up and thought it was a different day. Today I was sooo tired that I woke up when the alarm went off and thought, "what the hell is that noise?" bbl

Morning Ladies~ ALL IS RIGHT IN THE WORLD!!:tongue2::tt2: We went to the street fair last night and I split a nacho apetizer and had 1/2 a large margie...that is impressive for me. I of course didn't mention that I did help kill a basket of chips and salsa...but those are a "freebie" right? haha! I am soo glad it is Friday! I have a sore throat and I know it is just from getting run down. I've already made the big announcement..."I am not doing anything Sat. except homework". She will go to the commisarry (sp) (military grocery store), and get her hair cut. So I will have some serious homework time. She will be traveling an hour to the commissary! Anyhoo...this is good for me! Everyone have a great Friday! I am just very happy and peaceful!
