Hey Violets~ The movie was AWESOME! I saw some "so so" reviews...but it was great! Just what the doctor ordered. It was funny, sad, romantic, adventurous, and everything in between. Two thumbs up! I am watching Kid Rock's Storytellers (DVR'd from Thanksgiving)...I am sooo loving it! I am a big fan...he is rockin'! Got into a fight w/ some mofo on my scrabble site today. Gonna go see if I can find him again and deliver some more ANGER from my grieving process. Have a good nice.

Hey Violets~ Thanks for the flying monkey shout out on facebook Tracyk...I am just slow getting over here! Since I don't go back to work until Friday, we slept in today until 6:45 and then went to the gym for a longer work out. Felt good...and really what I needed! Then we came home, played w/ Klaus, cleaned his poo up, took showers, then...I could get to the puter and have coffee! Whew! We are going to the movies today to see Austrailia! Gonna sink in and get a gross amount of popcorn and ESCAPE! Then need to do some shopping (groceries and misc crapola). This afternoon is diss and she has her softball practice. She has a tough game this weekend. The team is called HARD LIQUIORS and they are this tough lesbian softball team. Last game, they had just finished playing before Sus's team and sat there and boo'd Sus's team. There is some serious BAD BLOOD...and these women are freakin scarey! I met these great gals at the first game (we've all gone out a few times now) and we love the drama (of course, we are sitting on the sidelines laughing where it is safe). Anywhoo..I'll keep you posted on the game.

Hey Vi's~ It is almost 10 pm and we just got home from a dentist appointment an hour away, dinner, and retail therapy! We went to Costco and bought our little fake prelit tree (really cute) and some other stuff. Then we went more shopping and 3 pair of shoes, and 3 bras and some other stuff! We had such a nice afternoon/evening/night...first time in a long time! We are all done (well just have one more for step mom) w/ xmas shopping. I still need to get my Violet gift, but I'll do that this weekend when I get down town. Anywho...that is my story! Laura~ Sorry about the fam drama. Addiction is tough for every family. Honestly, your sister needs will only get better when she is ready. Special prayers for your family (and Russ's too) Kat~Sorry about the hives. I suffered for years w/ chronic hives...bad ones too. My face, eyes, throat, even my V-JJ would swell. My back and torso had huge hot welts all over it. For temp relief, I would put raw aloe on. Also, cutting out dairy (milk and cheese) will help. Last resort, Prednisone will cure you quick! Jane~ Find a little piece of happiness and ride that wave. Hey V's~ Busy trying to catch up w/ Walden today. Step mom is completely lost and since my sister is there until tomorrow, she has no idea of how quiet it is going to be. I feel really bad for her. She is strong, but it will take some time. I don't go back to real work until Friday (5 days bereavement) so I need to catch up on things w/ Walden (which I completely ignored..not good) and w/ my diss. I'll pop in later. Just wanted to say how much you all have meant to me over the last week or so. thank you for all the cards and warm wishes. Ok ladies, we need a new thread. It is taking way too long to pull up or post because we have 1000'ssss of replies (we are a chatty bunch). If I am gonna pop in at work I need it to be quick, Is it ok that we start a part deux thread? Say yes cause I already did. Kat~ So glad you friends are found. I think I heard this on the news this morning too, but was jumpin into shower at 5am...so I am a little foggy then. See...don't mess w/ purple power! I love being the teacher!!! "OK class, I want a two page essay telling me what you did over the holiday break and what traditions your family celebrates for Christmas and New Years." Of course they groan. I turn on my classical music station and my Scentsy Candle and it smells sooo good and the music sets a nice tone...everyone is writing! Aaahhh...wish it were this easy for math class, I have to work then, lol. No sugar today!!! So far...but I am really pushing for it! Hey V's~ Promise to keep this one short. We just got in from the gym after a long workout. We are having fun together, although once we get in there we kinda do our own thang. We wont be home until Monday (we hope...still undetermined) but I have all next week off so we will enjoy some more slow workouts. I can never forget Michelle My Belle (never heard that before, eh?). OMG...sorry that was sooo long!

Hey V's~ I had 3 days all packed into one day. I was able to get 6 days of plans done...not an easy task. Plus, I had a few tests to prepare for. I was LUCKY and got my dearest friend to sub for me!!! It makes it sooo nice knowing i will have consistency, strength and wont have to worry. I had to tell my kids today...which broke my heart. I broke down as I was leaving the house, and then really bad when I walked into the class room. My dad's old office plaque which has K@#$%^&(my last name) & Company on my wall. I touched it and had a really good cry. It was the name of his company and was on his office door forever! It is now mounted on my wall. I was really glad I did get that good cry in, cause I did not break down in front of the kids. They were sad and sad for me, but I turned it into a special lesson about death being a part of life and to NEVER EVER SMOKE! If nothing else, I hope they remember that last one. A few kids got upset, but only cause they had lost someone too once. It was a nice day as far as that goes. I then went to doctors appointment but before I did, I threw some whole wheat rigatoni (sp) in w/ hamburger, spaghetti sauce, zuccini, mushrooms in the crockpot. Well, I left it on high cause I didn't think we'd be gone that long. Came home to a big batch of smell good SHIT. It was totally mushy and ruined. Then I called Expedia to change the tickets. Cant even explain that nightmare phone call but at one point when they (yes 2 agents on the line) told me it would be 1200 to change (LONG STORY), close your eyes Judy, the words "THAT IS A FUCKING CRIME" came out of my mouth. Well, I guess it worked cause it will only be about 350 now to change it. Sorry about the F bomb...but really please. I don't think I mentioned (and forgive me if I did) that Susanne joined the gym and we worked out this am. We were up at 4:30, and at the gym at 4:55! I had a really good workout and I really felt I needed that to even think about getting through the day i had. Did I tell yall that we are going to Reno on Wed? Well we are. I got the bestest surprise in the mail today! My flying monkey flew in today...and was really a wonderful surprise. Tracy, thanks so much for thinking of all of us. Hey V's~ Susanne's team is STILL UNDEFEATED! Great game tonight and tons of drama, other team (not the team they were playing, but the team they played 2 weeks ago...and pissed off) were booing. It was a loverly distraction from my day. Susanne joined the gym today!!! It costs 429$$ for the year, or $43 a month! We are going in at 5 and are all ready! I am soo glad to have someone to go w/ regularly. Have a great night...I'll let you all know as soon as I know about the plans. xoxoox

Morning Violets~ Thanks again...I am feeling a lot of love and strength when I look at the beautiful plant! Here is the update: Kathy (step mom) is w/ Kristen (step sister) and they are trying to find a place to hold the "Celebration of Life" next Saturday. She would really like to have it next sat, instead of waiting until the following Sat. W/ the holiday and all, it is still up in the air. She will know for sure if she can get the place she wants for next week on Monday @ 8 when they open. So, until we know, I will go to work tomorrow and kind of get my ducks in a row. Being a teacher, you kind of just don't "escape" w/o making sure your class is covered. Actually, the day my mom died, I woke up (after 3 hours of sleep) found she had passed away, walked out of the house and put my plans on my desk, came home (mind you I live 1 mile from work) and THEN called 911! So...there it is. I woke up this morning at 5:30 and burst into tears because he is still dead. Just need time and closure. He was creamated and this summer we will all sail to Rubekon Bay (Tahoe) and spread his ashes. I am sure I will be up there helping Kathy in spring or summer too. I know she wants to sell the house (it is REALLY REALLY HUGE), and she is all alone now. She wants something smaller. Then we might take the headstone to North Carolina next summer to put it w/ grandma and grandpa. There is an entire Historical Society thing w/ our family. My great great grandfather fought in the Civil War w/ Col. Wallace! If you google my last name and look in South Carolina...there is an entire county named after us. ANYWHO...that is my story. I'll keep you posted! Gotta go plan what to wear (and what will fit) to the Celebration...what a f*^king great way to spend a morning! Sorry...that is just how it is!

Hey Violets~ Thank you so much for all your positive energy! It was expected...but none the less, devastating! I got the email yesterday about cancelling Thanksgiving, and him having 2-4 weeks to live. So, my friend offered to drive me so I could have some drinks (plural). Well as my 3rd Mojito arrived, I got the call. At first my dad's # showed up on my cell and I thought it was my step mom calling to talk about the email. I ignored it, thinking I'd call her in the am...not from the bar. Then my bro called from work, and I ignored him too...thinking...wtf? Then he called from his cell and I answered. I called step mom, Stef called Susanne (who is in Phoenix...but is on her way home now), and then I came back and drank my drink. I had 2 choices...start crying and boohooing w/ a buzz...or keep drinking, and honestly grieve for him in the morning...w/o the booze effects. So, I did shots of tequilla, had some dear friends over and listened to music. Went to bed at midnight...was up and ready for coffee at three am! Decided to sleep more, and then Susanne called at 6 to tell me she was on the road (4 hour drive). So there it is... I don't know anything yet, gonna call in a bit. My sister (step sis for 35 years) flew up last night. Not sure when I am going...I'll be home for a few days though...gotta get my shit straight for the sub, etc. I get 5 days off for this because I have to travel. I'll keep you all posted! I love you all ladies! I texted my violets before my BFF! That is saying something! xoxoxo

Buenos Dias Violetas~ I did it! I was at the gym at 4:57am!! Thats right...am!!! Did a 50 min workout and feel great! It has been over a year and a half cause last year i started doing jazzercise. Felt great! 10 min on the treadmill, 100 crunches, plus 20 obliques, arms, back, inner and outer thighs, quads and my fav...ass! Now...I am working on making this a habit! Have a great day! xoxoox

Michelle~ We are too! We bought our new couch last Dec and it was pretty expensive. We bought the extended warranty because it is leather. Well now, Wickes is out of business. Now what. If you do "gift cards" this year, besides Walmart, I would stick w/ Visa gift cards!
