Hey Girls~ Had my gastric bypass support group last night! My friend Kelly and I went, she had it 2 years ago, and it was great! I am ready to do this tomorrow! Today I have my bone density scan, then a quick presentation to give at the district office. Then home to grade papers! Thursday is Back to School Night...busy week! I am so excited about your visit...just need to get through this week to dance my jig! Talk a lot today...I pop in from work! I love you all! oxxoxo

Gina, It is great to have you back! It has been a struggle for me too...and 2 weeks ago, after my doc asked if I wanted it 3 times, I decided to have gastric bypass!!! I am scheduled now for the Monday before Thanksgiving and am soooo ready to do this. Since I already did all of the "pre" stuff, I only have to have the psych eval, nutrition eval and a bone density scan. I only lost 30 lbs on the band, and have gained it all back:frown::thumbup: I have tons (literally about 12) friends who have had the gb surgery and all have said, "I wish I did it sooner"! They have all been successful except 1, who hasn't gained it all back but has put on about 50 lbs. She eats greasy fatty foods though, and I am not a big fan of food she likes (bacon, fried chicken, homemade donuts). So yes, I am in your shoes. Yes, I am scared of the surgery, but honestly, I am more scared to NOT have it and take this weight into another decade or two. Good luck and keep us posted!

Nothing on or for the van...I am borrowing it from a friend. I was going to rent one (would not have collected either) but my friend came through. It might not be luxury, but it will haul us around. I just didn't want to be in 2 cars. Mine seats 5 and Susanne's seats 4 but this is better. I will pick up Judy and Jane from the airport at like 1:10 (get out at 1pm) and will then go pick up the girls from the casino (the 11am girls will go downtown and have lunch at the buffet). Then Friday, we can piddle around town and maybe go to Idyllwild for lunch and to look at the cool shops. It is an artsy farsty town with tarrot card readings, palm readings, fun little chatz-key crapola, but it is beautiful in the mtns. Off to grade!!

Morning violets~ I slept until 8am!!! That never happened all summer, haha! Showered and getting ready for church. I've got a new load of papers to grade (SUCKS) but I need the $ so I work work work! I think the ONLY Sunday I wont have papers this term is the Sunday ya'll are here....worked out perfectly! I had a dream about all of us getting together. It wasn't here but we were all somewhere, and I can't remember what we were doing. haha! I am borrowing a mini van and will work out the deets soon and get it to you all. I have Back to School Night Thursday and a Gastric Bypass mtg on Monday night...busy week. Gotta get ready for church...have a great day! xoxoxoxo

Morning Girls~ We had a spectacular night last night!! The filet mignon (bacon wrapped and maple), off the hook salad, baked pots, steamed asparagus, these OUTSTANDING sourdough rolls, and these cute fruit tart thingys I bought from the store! It was great! We are going (unless Susanne's mom doesn't want to go) to Carol Channing's Star VIP party! Charles knows her and orchestrated he planned this entire VIP party! I am really excited, and asked if Susanne's mom could join! Today, I don't want to do shit!!! Tired and need to watch Jersey Shore and grade papers! have a great day!!! xoxoxo

I think I have the arrivals correct. You may land at 11am, but it will be about 45 min until you get to the casino (you'll have to take a cab or the shuttle) but it is about 3 miles away. Once you eat, you may have a little time to play. I ONLY play a 20 once in a while, but it should keep you busy, haha.

LOL, I think Michelle, Laura and Haydee are 11am arrivals, and Judy and Janie are 12:20 arrivals. In my mind it works out...haha, but a couple of you know, this is a small town...can't REALLY get too lost, too late or too far behind here!

Buenos Dias Chicas~ Yeah, our electric bill is really a problem, but hopefully the $1200 (thought it was 1400) will help lower our bills. EVERYONE swears that a multispeed pool pump is the way to go! We'll see! Susanne has to go to CPR class on the Saturday ya'll are here. That sucks, but that was the "pool" lazy day anyway, then we can all go to dinner Sat night. Jane, call the electric company and have them come out and check your meter. It is worth a try. Do you have condos on top of you? If not, that could be the problem, since heat rises. Today is the doc apt (yeah) and then my friend is supposed to come over and help build this power point that I need. She flaked Tues and Wed, so if not today, I'll do it myself this weekend and will not share, haha! Michelle, why no school? Because of the New Year? School closes for that? Enjoy the quiet morning. Hey girls~ the kids are making climate posters and i am too tired to make the letters capped! I will get out at 1pm the day you arrive (just have to buy Shaun a drink or three at a later time). I am glad, that way the 11am girls can go grab lunch at the casino buffet, and I can pick up the 12:20 girls at the airport...then pick up the 11am girls downtown. I will need to pick up the minivan at the airport too. Anyway...it all works out in my head, haha! I see the doc tomorrow and will finalize the deets of the gb surgery, but yes, I've already scheduled it. Not sure if I have to do this that and the other before the surgery like before. Hope I don't have to do ALL of it. Either way...I am done w/ this and ready to get on the other side of it. We are having Rob and Charles over for dinner Friday night!!! That should be fun! Filet Minjon, baked pots, italian salad, zuccinni...MMMMMMMMMM! Today we got our new pool pump!!! It cost 1400$ but it should save us tons (hopefully) in the electric bills. This months bill was $617...boy do we fight when the bill comes. She yells, I recoil and get pissed she is yelling...and we are both frustrated. Already nervous for the next bill. We get our blinds next week AND Susanne got us a screen door... gotta go

Morning girls~ I have the date set for the 23rd of Nov. for the surgery. I meet w/ the doc this thursday to discuss and the ins already approved it. All my friends who have had it only wish they had it sooner...and I don't want to be having this conversation 20 years from now. Susanne is 100% behind me on this; only wants me healthy. I am toooo belly fat, close to diabetes (which is BIG in my family) and other problems. I am scared...but should be down 30-40 lbs by Xmas!!! OK...gotta put my face on! Getting excited for your visit! xoxoxoox

Hey, Quick check in! Michelle...maybe you need something to soothe your pipes. Seriously, when I have a bad one, I have a little ice cream or frozen yogart. The coolness helps w/ inflamation too. I PB'd bad yesterday...on a hotdog that I shouldn't have been eating anyway. Threw it away and went and had diet coke and popcorn at the movies. Hey, since I am having gastric bypass...will I still be a violet? CAN'T WAIT FOR YA'LL TO COME OVER!!

Morning Girls~ AAAHHH...slept in until 6:20!!! Wowser! That felt great, been a long week! Today we are having a lady come over to bid our blinds. I hope we can afford it! We have curtains now, and I don't like them. Whether we go with her or not, these curtains are temporary. Then we are off to the commissary! Need to do some stock up kinda shopping. I'll make sure to get some Hackbraten:wink:!! Then tonight we are having dinner w/ Jenny, Annette, Jackie and Melissa to Celebrate Jenny's bday! Going to Burgers and Beer (Jenny's favorite) and then back here to have chocolate chocolate cake!! (another fav) Have a great weekend everyone! I've gotta rent us a van for our gathering. Sorry to hear about your morning Judy....maybe you can pop in the pool before your therapy; sounds like it "warms" you up and loosens you. You ARE the PS adventures...you won't slow us down a bit. No expectations! Glad you are not getting a fill...we will HAVE to go to In and Out Burger once! We can freeze a couple for Juan (I am sure he'll eat them fine). Came home, got in the pool and got the hell out...tooo cool for me! but I sat on the edge watched susanne swim and we had a beer! LOOONGGGG week and it was nice to "unwind" together. We had the Hackbraten leftovers and I asked her to make it for when ya'll are here! xoxooxox

I kinda think they are together too...like a couple, if not, they should be! Couldn't stand Ragan...uuuggg, so glad he is gone!!! Can't stand Enzo and will be PISSED if he wins anything. I liked Lane and Brit from the gate ( she is funny as hell)...but even if Hayden gets it...that'd be cool too!

We can make it when ya'll are here! It was SOOOO yummy!!! Now that we don't have to drive 4 hours to get to and back from DL...we can make it Friday night (thank goodness it is not lent!). HAPPY FRIDAY, OMG, I AM READY!

German meatloaf is not like USA meatloaf (which I hate). It is called Hactbraten (or something like that). Take a lb or 2 of lean ground beef, add this Hactbraten packet of mix you buy in the commissary, and fry it up. It is served with gravy and mushrooms over spetzle!!! I will skip the spetzle (thick German noodles), or have a tiny bit cut up small (my 2.0 fill is pretty good), and have a salad and a piece of meat! ummm!

Morning Girls~ I watched all three episodes of my Netflix of MadMen! I LOVED every minute! Michelle, I LOVE the balance pic too. I think balance is vital for all of us, especially you as you run this way and that way. Great pic! OK...Big Brother peeps...can I SLAP Ragan and Enzo. It is so funny how in July I love this show...and in Sept I just wanna know who wins! Today I've got a teleconference at 4pm! Also, Susanne is making us German meatloaf, OMG...that is some good stuff!!! So, I don't have to make dinner! Can't wait to see you girls...need to start planning and checking into renting a van! OK...gotta boogey and put my face on!

Hey Girls~ Long day...hell, been a long week! Sorry I have been MIA a bit. I went to bed at 7:45 last night, OMG...I was ready at 5, but just couldn't bring myself to go that early. Last night, I was going to grill salmon and make a salad, but the salmon smelled like ammonia??? I bought it 2 weeks ago, froze it, then defrosted it...but when I opened it, I about fell over. We put it in trash bags, jumped in the car and went to Arbys! Threw it away at Arby's too...didn't want to put that in my trash can! Well, the year is going along...not great and not bad...just going! Got a rough NEEDY group, and I've had to take 2 kids outside to "give them a talking to". IT IS DAY 3!!! Not much else to report. I had to resign from the Human Rights Comm. I don't "live" in PS anymore, and even though I work and still own a home there...I had to resign. At first I was bummed, but then I thought...MAN, THAT IS A LOT OF TIME I GIVE THEM...F*&K them if they don't want me, haha! It does feel nice to have one thing off my plate! CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU ALL TO GET HERE. got MAD MEN in the mail today (LOVE NETFLIX) and am gonna go watch it! xoxoxoox
