Hey girls~ I am leaving tomorrow for Reno @ 6am. I am driving up w/ brother and flying home on Monday. The plan was to spread dad's ashes, but I don't think we are going to do that. Step mom says she is not ready. Susanne is staying home and I will miss her. I forgot to take "after" pix the other night. I will as soon as I put my face on...I promise. I am healed, but my eye lids are pinkish and is still a bit sore. Other than that...I am VERY happy...and glad it is over. Have a great weekend everyone. Terry and Michelle...sending you purple healing power and much love! Tracyk, you are gonna LOVE big bro tonight... I sent you a text. LOVE it!

I am funny about the potty too. NO ONE IN! Susanne doesn't see it as a big deal. I need my privacy. LOL...we all have our things! Went and got a pedi...at least my toes are not hungover! Watching BB after dark and I swear, I want to put my foot in Chima and Nat's face! Susie, cucc's are bigger, darker green and do NOT have a big tip. Zucc's are smaller, lighter green and have this weird looking tip thing. I steam zucc's 3x a week min. Cucc's have a waxy outside as well! xooxxo

Hey Girls~ Terry, I am thinking about you! Hang in there! I have no perils of wisdom, but I am here for you! Michelle, thinking of you as well! Hope the "bump" is mellowing out a bit. Communication is our "issue" as well. I knew that it would be from the beginning. It is hard but I and we both work at it. My only advice is to MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAPPY. Seriously...be happy sista because life is short. Haydee, I am glad ya'll came to a compromise. But what is he "giving" you if you are dishing the pos. reinforcement? I agree w/ the "good boy" is not right...for you or him. Keep the details coming on the wedding...I LOVE TO HEAR IT! I am a bit hungover...we went out and had a great night. Had these drinks called Sweet Tarts! They are so good...made w/ Grape Vodka! Gonna CHILLAX today! xooxxo

OOO Terry...I am sorry to hear this. As you are learning, you have to walk the line to help people recover. By you staying strong it will help him in the long run. We are here if you need us. And remember, one day at a time applys to you as wel! :(:grouphug:

Morning Girlies~ I did 22 min today on the eliptical!!! Hells Yeah! I will make my goal by the time school starts! That is awesome for me...cardio sucks and is hard...and it is the key to weight loss (regardless of what Time Mag says). I had my heart rate up to 154 for most of the 22 min (at least up to 140 the whole time...well not the first 3 min.). Anywho...I am proud of myself, and I did crunches, ass, shoulders and triceps today. WOOHOO. Happy Birthday Macy! Going to school again today to do some work. There is no air conditioner on...and it is hot as hell. But we are going in sweaty since we just left the gym. Then tonight...it is drinks @ DINKS (Dual Income No Kids...which makes up 70% of our population). Anyway...looking forward to chillaxing w/ some ppl from work! Have a great day everyone! Haydee, I love hearing the wedding details! xoxoxoxo

Hi girls~ Michelle, it is times like this that I wish I could come over and take you out for a drinky-poo. Sorry you are going through some shit right now...especially when it is all hitting the fan at the same time. Hang in there sweetie. Well, I lied to you all. I promised I would have "after" pics for you and last night cried for about a half an hour (Michelle, maybe something is going around w/ us), and this morning...OMG I could barely see through the small slits I had for eyes. I swear, I could not see out of the left one. I did go workout and did another 20 min on the eliptical + some machines. The sweating helped w/ some of the swelling. I had my meeting today for the HRC and wanted to put a bit of makeup on...but NNNOOOO not w/ those eyes. I did go into work this morning and paid 2 kids to set up the room!!! That feels so good to have that done! I am going in after we work out in the am...there is no AC in the classrooms yet, so it is early am trips only for now. Sooo I promise I will get some after pix before I leave on Friday. Speaking of which, I am driving up w/ bro on Friday to Reno, and will be flying home on Monday. Susanne is going to stay home this trip. Since we are not spreading the ashes (step mom just CAN NOT do it yet...and we all support it). So that is what we are doing. Sorry I didn't pop on all day. Was a busy day. Michelle...call me if you want to dish, curse, or come over! xooxoxxo Judy....LOVED the pix of FB of you 3 in the pool...can't believe how big he is! xoxoxo Tracy...are you LOVIN' BB! I love Jeff...hope he is smart on Thursday and gets rid of Nat or Jess! xooxoxxo

Hey Kids~ Terry and Jenn, you both sound wonderful!! Terry, I am so glad you are finding Al-Anon a great resource for you and learning more and more. Funny about dd coming home and going to her room...yeah, you gotta love teenagers. Did she have a good time? Enjoy church! Susie, you are funny and good for you for making it up the hill!! On the upside, firemen are usually really cute, so if there was a problem, at least you'd have some eye candy! We went out last night and had some drinks...now I remember why I don't drink Jack Daniels anymore...and why I don't like brown liquor. Not too bad, but it hurt my tummy sooooo bad. We are supposed to go out tuesday and I need to come up w/ something else to drink. LOL, I dont do it enough to have a fav...although I love margies, they have the most calories:eek:. Anywho...we had fun. Today we are still unsure what we are doing. Taking a day off from the gym...but will be back in the morning! I am going for 21 min. at least. But I am going to lift some weights as well after. I have a gyno appt tomorrow (like Tracyk) and then a Human Rights meeting. I will put makeup on for that (just a bit) because I'll be on TV. THEN I'll take my "post" picture and send 'em tomorrow night. I saw my brother yesterday and he thought I looked GREAT...said, "I might want a little lipo on my double chin too"! Anyway...it felt great to have my little bro say that! I heart him!

Morning Ladies~ I am sooo freakin' proud of myself! I did 20 min on the eliptical!!!! HellfreakinYeah! It took me 25.34 min because I needed to keep stopping. But actually, some research shows that doing a stop and start cardio workout is best because it keeps the body guessing...and pushing itself. Like if you are a jogger, if every few min you stop and walk for a min., it is better for the body. Anywho...that is my justification while I am on the machine! I feel soooo proud of myself...and I feel soooo good too! At the beginning of the summer, I remember coming here and saying I did 7 min...and that my goal at the end of the summer was to be able to do 30 min. I am still working toward that goal! OK...enough about that. Going up the mountain today to have lunch and see our campsite. And then later...I am having a drinky poo fo' sho'! My new book is the Bag Lady Wars! I've only read ch. 1, but I HIGHLY recommend it!! It is about these old (like in their 80's) who, after being mugged in the park for all her $ which was 32 bucks, decided to kill all the "bad guys" to do something for the country so federal dollars don't have to spend $40K a year on feeding/housing criminals. That way, they get to go to prison and will be "taken care of" for the rest of their lives and don't have to worry about making ends me...HAHA...what a great concept. Anyway, I think MANY of you would get a kick out of it! OK...quick game of scrab before the shower...have a great Sat! xoxoxo

Kat, Love the new little guy...and congrats to your newest family member...he is lucky to have a gramma like you! I love the name too!

Hey Girls~ I went to the gym this morning...yea me!!! I could ONLY do 15 min on the eliptical (although that kicked my ass). My eyes were bugging me a bit but it felt good to sweat. I wanted to lift some weights as well, but perhaps tomorrow. I am sooo glad I am back at it. Susanne and I went but she stayed 25 min longer. Tomorrow, the goal is 16 or more min on the eliptical...hopefully, the workout will help me sleep better. I have been sleeping shitty and hate it...but when I work out, I sleep better. I have an appointment today at 2 w/ the surgeon...then nothing else to do. I have this morning's antibiotic only left...and then I want a drinky-poo tomorrow. I had some wine in Italy, but have not had anything since, and I've been wanting a drinky for a week. So, I am looking forward to it! Other than that...a mellow weekend ahead. Oh yeah, Jenny and Annette (the girl she is dating) and Sus and I are driving up to the mountains and scout out the camp site. We and about 30 other lesbians are going camping on the 22nd. So we are going up Sat to have lunch and chillax! Have a great day/weekend! Love you girls! xoxoxoxooxoxxoox

I loved Funny People...but I was the only one of the 4 of us who did. I worked at a stand up comedy club for 5 years...so yeah, I am a stand up fan! The jokes were funny, the story was rich...but it was a bit long. The others didn't hate it...but they they didn't love it like I did. One sucky part was w/ James Taylor singing Carolina. Today is my dad's birthday and the whole family LOVES James Taylor...and yes, we are all from the Carolinas (he was born in North Carolina, and you all know about the Ker^&* legacy in Camden South Carolina). I've listened to that song w/ my dad for, um...40 years. So when he was singing it, I covered my ears and did a low hum so I wouldn't hear it...but then gave in and listened and cried. This morning I called my step mom to let her know I was thinking of her, and it went to the answering machine. Well, my dad's voice is on it...and it killed me. but other than that, the movie was funny...

Hey Gang...did you miss me! First, I gotta put my 2 cents in...Hazel fo' sho'! I like the originality of the shots; it is fresh and contemporary. The other (sorry Judy) seems old fashioned. Anyway, whichever one wins, I am sure YOU WILL LOOK WONDERFUL! I've been w/o internet (legally) for a whole day. I did jump on someones internet, and pop on facecrack because, well, you know...it is like crack! But I am back and I've missed you! Susie, sorry about the job. I have to think it was not meant to be...something "right' is waiting for you! Susanne did an HOUR on the eliptical. I need to go to the gym again, may go tomorrow and only walk. I am not really supposed to sweat too much yet...so I can walk on the treadmill and not sweat too much. We will see, if not tomorrow, then Friday. I've mended well so far! I got my stitches out yesterday and am 'looking good' according to the doc. I am still pretty swollen, and have pockets of fluid on my checks, from when he prepped me for lipo. I am VERY PLEASED...and will take some "after pix" very soon. Michelle, I got the cutest card today in the mail! Since I have my PO box, I don't check it everyday, so it was probably there a few days! It was funny...thanks for thinking of me. We went to Las Casuelas tonight for happy hour! Thought of Michelle and Haydee...hoping other violets can come sone day soon! Tomorrow is The Hurt Locker movie and a nap. Good to back on line...off to check work (both) emails...and play some scrabble! xoxoxox

Terry, Jackie read it while we were in Italy, and I asked for it this fall...she loved it! Gotta run...I loved the movie but was the only one who did. Oh well...easily amused!

Bon Journo Bellas~ Stitches out today! Looking forward to this. I accidently pulled 2 stitches compelety out, and dislodged a third, which resulted in some bleeding when I pulled my eye, may need a butterfly on that end. Worried about a scar, but nothing I could do on Sunday. Oh well. We are going camping in a couple of weeks w/ Jenny and Annette (Jenny's new gf...although they knew each other since last fall, Annette is on Susanne's softball team). Anywho...Annnette is friends w/ that rouge lesbian team, Hard Liquors...and I guess we are going camping w/ them!:smile2: right now, these women scare me...but I guess once I get to know them they wont seem so bad. HAHA... Then we are going to see Funny People @ noon w/ Stef and Bob. Looking forward to that too! Then the couch guys will be here at 4 to fix our broken recliners! I bought this receipe book called Hungry Girl 200 under 200. There are 200 receipes under 200 calories. Well, tomorrow I am meeting some girls from work for a coffee thingy and am going to make this "dish" called FUNKY MONKEY SQUARES. They are not cookies, not brownies...squares. But each one is 73 calories. If they are good, I'll post the receipe. This book is great, it has all meals, deserts, and everything in between. The squares are made w/ splenda, 25 cal. cocoa mix., whole wheat flour... That is all on this end of the country! Love you girls! xoxooxxoxo Ciao Bellas

Laura, I love that posting on FB! I think Judy (mind you, I am only 1/2 done) thinks that it is a great teacher read because of the insight it has on kids, and what they bring to the classroom. I KNOW there are many kids that the only meal they get is at lunch at school (yes, free lunch)...but that is ALL they get. It is sad on Friday cause you know they wait all weekend. That is just my 2 cents on why I think Judy said that about teachers...it is an amazing read! Back to it! Did you buy the CD or just download that song? If you downloaded it, also do "She" it is whimsical as well...love that entire CD!

Hey Girls~ I am up and showered! Big accomplishment here. I stayed up way late and read The Glass Castle...OMG...they best book ever. I am 1/2 way done, yet am sad that it is almost over. I love this book. I was bummed for the first few days after the surgery I couldn't read too well. Keep getting neosporin in my eyes, lol! NOt sure what is going on today w/ us. We have no plans, but are a bit stir crazy. Stitches out tomorrow!!! But still looking a bit beat up, so cant do much! I am very happy w/ both eyes and chin. The chin has numbness still, and pockets of fluid, but it looks sooo great w/o all the doubleness of the double chin! Been having a hell of a time eating. Usually, I am more active (sometimes even work out) and can eat something. But with all this laying about, my band is hella tight. I did get a fill a week before the surgery...maybe not a good idea. I eat a yogurt and granola for breaky, and then after that...I am out of ideas. I made some tuna yesterday, which was great! Gonna make a ceasar sal today as well. It has just been hard figuring it out. I ate some chips...then felt sick to my stomach. Plus I am taking the antibiotics, which kinda upsets my tummy...'NUF COMPLAINING...sorry guys! Have a great day! If you have not read this book, I HIGHLY recommend it. What an amazing story! oxoxxoxoxoxoox

Laura, quick suggestion: Take a swatch of each of his little outfits he wears or you love. Cut the a 6x6 of the ones you REALLY LOVE or the special ones that remind you of him or some special event. Give the rest away or whatever w/ them. Do this for a few years (it doesn't take up too much room). But then in a few years, you (or if you are like me...have someone) make him a quilt. It can be very boy-ish w/ all sports stuff, or all the animal stuff, very blue. But the quilt can be dry cleaned and saved and given to his first son...or to him when he is older (but it wont last as long). My SIL did this for all 3 kids and she made quilts. Some of the 6 x 6 swatches the kids remember wearing, others are from when they were babies. She gave the quilts to the kids (9,7 4) and they LOVE them. Just a suggestion...and it is a cute mom project, especially if you give it to his first son or something special or cool llike that. Are you going to have him baptised?

Jane...too funny! Laura, I read Animal Farm a few times to my class. At the middle school level, and the fact that ALL my kids are second language learners, I read it to them and many of the political implications are lost on them. However, it is one of my fav's and the kids like it. Plus, afterwards we make really cute diaramas! I am REALLY trying to read The Glass Castle, but my eyes are still too puffy. I have some serious bags under my eyes. this diaper thingy strap (straped under the chin, around the back and around the forehead) is like a vice grip on my head. I LOVE when I get to take it off to eat or do my warm compresses. My chin looks good,...there is one pouchy thing, but it should still go down. I'll take a quick pix later w/ my phone and send out an email today, I promise. I am going to try to eat some salad...wish me luck!
-
Hey Girls~ I am coming along well...I guess. The chin looks good, a bit lumpy, however, it has only been 3 days. I saw Stef today (she took me) and she was AMAZED at how good I look...and thinks the chin looks great! So that is cool. I am now doing hot/warm compresses on my eyes 4 times a day...and it feels SOOOO GOOD! I look forward to them. Then I need to keep neosporin on and when I was putting it on, my last stich on my right eye came off! But nothing opened or anything...so I guess it is ok. Other than that...just a bit stir crazy here. Susanne has been a saint but I think tomorrow I'll cowgirl up and take a drive w/ her. Thinking the mountains for brunch or something...just to get out of the house. I don't want it to be too long...just a change of scenery. Today, while surfing the couch, Stef called. She was w/ her aunt in the pool...and they were drunk and needed more beer! SOOOO we put our clothes on, and went to the store to buy beer! HAHA...she would do it for me. When we got there, they had put out a nice spread...and we visited a bit, while they drank beer. It was kinda fun, again just for a change of scenery. Everyone have a nice night and a nice Sunday! Enjoy your books Terry! My eyes are not quite ready to read yet...they seem a bit blurry from the sporin. Watching Mr. Brooks now w/ Kevin Costner...great movie! xoxo xooxxo

Yeah Susie~ Take a minus ANYTIME you can!!!

Morning Girls~ Well, I slept in my bed last night...and it felt good to get a more restful sleep. I did wake up w/o my face bra...which is a big NO NO! No wonder I slept so good. The face bra is not too bad, but it chokes me...literally, hits me at the voice box. All for the price of beauty, right. Another day of sitting around doing nuttin' on tap here. We did go to the movies yesterday...just to get out. Tracy, hoping Macy is feeling better...that is sooo terrible for such a little thing. So, do you know who won? Who is nom'd? I swear, I am watching BB on Showtime, and Jesse is a complete and utter TOOL! He is a have not, and has to eat slop and is nearly in tears, haha! Everyone have a good day! xooxoxox
-
Thanks Laura, I got it! I'll review it and keep it handy as we move into the new Human Rights year! Went and saw The Ugly Truth...cute, but I'd wait for it on video. It was nice to get out of the house. I look bit better today (barely). So I put my little hat on and off I went! But am pooped out...and am back on the couch. AAAHHH...feels good to be home. Susie...good for you on your efforts. Always wanted to do that...perhaps I will this month...that will be my goal. I don't do drive throughs a lot, but usually make it once or twice a month! I love that idea! OK...All my children is on the dvr! xoxooxxo

Hello again, Well, I woke up and went straight to the shower. The doctor said to let the warm water run down your face (not directly) from the back...IT FELT SOOO GOOD! I smelled like surgery (hard to explain...but I did). Now I feel great. I am getting prettier everyday! I am sure I am dropping weight this week. We will see! xoxoox bbl
