No matching dresses please! I like different hues of purple/lavender/violet, but not dresses. I HATE dresses! We are the violets, all we need is purple for our violet sista! Don't forget, we (collectively) are in charge of SOMETHING BLUE!

My morning group is 6th grade (39 kids) and my afternoon group is 6th, 7th and 8th grade (11 kids). So far...I like it...I have a great schedule, and I am VERY happy about the school year so far! xoxoxoxo

Hey Girls~ Had a great first day! My morning class has 39 ESL kids, and I only have 38 desks (one at the table). OMG it is a full load. Soooo much management! Gotta love budget cuts! My afternoon group is small (only 11) but 6 are beginning English speaking and I have 2 girls from Iraq. They fled war torn Iraq to Turkey in 2nd grade and now are sitting in my class. I've had there cousins in the years past, but one of them, Andrina can not even write ANYTHING...not in Arabic, Turkish or English. Then there is Junior, who has been in the USA one month and is sooo chubby and cute (much like me)...he almost pee'd his pants because Brian fell out of the chair (ass in chair is a hard concept). Anywho...I am sure I will have many stories as the year progresses! ONLY 179 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER VACAY! I love you ALL! Gonna take Sus out to dinner to celebrate her being retired one year ago today...plus I got paid so I don't have to do the dishes! xoxoxoxoxo

Morning girls~ We had fun last night at Julie and Susan's. It was mellow, but the food and company were wonderful! I am BEYOND excited for May 15th. Haydee, where should we stay? Give us a couple of close places so we can book rooms! Girls, what are we going to wear? Maybe all of us wearing something in a violet hue?? NOT THE SAME THINGS, LOL! So excited! Today is the last day of summer:blush:...but I am ready to work and excited for tomorrow! Off to facecrack, play scrabble, hang w/ Susanne, enjoy our Sunday... everyone do the same!

I am having one in Nov. for a friend's bridal shower! They are very fun! Have fun! 58 degrees would be great! We had 118 yesterday and broke records!!!:frown: But fear not, we are having a cold front move in and are expected to be down to 106 this week! Break out the coats! Janie, I hope this is not the beginning of the end too. I doubt it...and am counting on you all to be w/ me FOREVER! Or I will stalk you all, lol! Sus comes home today! We are going to Julie and Susan's for a bbq/pool party! Looking forward to it...Melissa and jackie, Annette and Jenny, Susanne and I and Julie and Susan...can't wait to get in the pool! Feelilng better today...got a ton of work to do to get ready for Walden, but I am playing on facecrack and watching BB from showtime last night! Hey girls~ Well, I was going to go to the gym and do my 30 min...today is the last day of the summer and I wanted to prove (to myself) i could do 30 min on eliptical. BUT I didn't go...but by next week, I'll make the goal! I know IF I went in...maybe tomorrow...doubt it! Feeling better today! There is this terrible woman at work, who should of retired already, and she is just miserable. She pissed me off to high heaven yesterday. OH MY...Jackie too, I was talking w/ Jackie and she was actually checking her pulse because this woman had made her that mad. Anyway, I am not going to let her get to me today. Morning girls~ So sad to hear about Ted Kennedy's passing...I actually cried a few real tears (must be my TOM). He was a true humanitarian...and he will be missed Susanne is getting ready to go to her moms for a few days in Phoenix. I am working full time now, and I encourage her to spend some good time w/ mom. She is LUCKY to have her...and should enjoy these moments! I am sooo excited! I am driving in my OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS w/ my doc. degree posted to them to the district office!!!!! BRING ON THE RAISE! I also think (still crossing my fingers) that I will get to teach 2 sessions of English Lang. Dev.!!! Right now, I am slated to teach 6th grade self contained; that is Lang. Arts, math and Science/Soc.Studies. BUT...IF I GET MY WAY, I will teach Lang. Dev to two groups instead of having one all day! AND THE BEST PART IS I will get to teach High Point!! High Point is the curriculum I did my entire dissertation on!!! HELLO!!! BRING IT ON! I will let you know this afternoon if it goes my way! Everyone have a FANFREAKINTASTIC DAY!!!

OMG...that sucks. Then again, that is why I am fat. Good on you Jen!! I was up at 4.30 and at the gym at 5. We stayed until 6 and while I am not at 30 min yet...I will be by Friday or Sat! I love that I exercise, and have fair restriction, breakfast is usually granola and yogart, lunch is ususally meat (today went to mex place w/ friends from work and had two carne asado tacos, no tortilla) and dinner I can do meat and sal. I will order a burger while we are out, and just say no bread. So, it is hit and miss for me. My ass MUST exercise. I am a better partner and better teacher when I exercise. I sleep better too. I'll work on the food thing:biggrin::thumbup: I know I suck at personals, but I do love you all. Judy, hope you are feeling more relaxed after the pool! Jen, you deserve better...and once you realize that for real...EVERYTHING will pick up! Laura...I am voting everyday and am gonna post it on my fb page so my friends will vote too (hopefully) Tracyk...enjoying day 2!! BB is slowing down a bit, always does when school starts for me...but I LOVE JEFF! Did you see the fight? If not, put in Jeff and Russell fight on youtube...it is GOOD! Michelle...your busy day does not sound like any 'ME' time. I was thinking more along the lines of, pedi's, manis, movies, coffee/cocktails w/ girlfriends, spa day. It is a ton of work to go camping...but we were home, had the camping closet reorganized, clothes, food, EVERYTHING put away, showered and in our pj's by 1:30pm! AAAHHH! I went to doc on Friday and had lost 6 pounds since late May! Congrats to all the moms whose kids go back tomorrow. I am going in to organize, but still have another week. Hey Gang~ Spent yesterday packing our crapola for the camping trip. It is a lot of work to get ready to relax! We are taking a bunch of crap...probably too much. It is our first trip, so we are setting our baseline. Oh yes...supposed to have THUNDER STORMS this weekend!!! fun fun! I have a doc. apt at 7:45 and a hair apt at 9:45...then we leave. I'll need to pack the coolers, but then we leave! Terry, I am happy for your good news!! I have been worried about you and hate that I have nothing to comfort you. Again, we are always here for you. Hey Girls~ Michelle, so sorry to hear about your MIL. I know what your dh is going through. Many prayers and purple power for Sheila and your entire family! Kat, mmmmm choc. cake! Good luck to moms bat wing surgery! Jane and Jen, I have gas pains often...and there have been times at night when I have had to get up and lay on the couch. It helps to "jiggle" my tummy...and hope it passes the old fashioned way. Actually right now, I am having some...and will take some Gas X when I get up. Since banding I AM SOOOO GASSY! LOL! I am going into work this morning after my allergy appointment. The landscaper is here again and the yard is LOOKING GOOD. I have some before pix and will post after ones too. I will ALSO put some after pix of my face too. I have not worn makeup much, and the one night last week, I forgot to take pix. They need to live together until spring (tax return) but he just can not take it anymore. I respect them for TRYING to stay together for the kids, but it is not always the best thing, especially if there is no respect there. Tough call and a tough time. I went to the gym this morning but OMG I could barely do 15 min. My muscles around my knees were dying! Last week I did 11 min longer...so I have to build 'em back up again. I was sweating good and hard too, lol! I also did 85 crunches, 60 obliques (at 35 lbs) back and ass. Susanne had an appointment this am so we had to leave by 7. We are getting our landscaping landscaped today! Then the doctor is coming to do a blood draw on Klausy at 2 (gonna be soooo freakin' hot). Other than that...chillaxing and sucking the last few days/hours of enjoyment of summer vacay. Will probably go into work tomorrow for a few hours as well...and so it begins! xooxoxoxoxox

Hey Chickies~ I am in Reno...having a nice time w/ the fam. Wait until you hear this one. Bro and I get here last night, ended up being about 10.5 hours. Had a nice evening w/ everyone. My SIL had flown in yesterday w/ nephew from Idaho, where she was for a few days w/ her family. Anywho...we have a nice evening, celebrating nieces 10th bday. So, I am POOPED and decided not to go miniture golfing w/ bro, SIL and the kids. My sis and her bf go out, but I stay home and go to bed w/ step mom. A little while later, SIL and the girls come in and I say, "oh did you have fun?" and she says, "we didn't go!" and she goes downstairs for the night! My brother and nephew are still out. So obviously there was a fight. This morning, I wake up and we were all going up to Lake Tahoe; even though we were not going to do the ashes yet, we were going for the day. My brother says, "we are leaving!" I am SOOO PISSED...my SIL is SUCH A BITCH! For my parents 30th wedding anniversary, she picked a big fight and didn't go. Then last year, my dad's LAST birthday, she pitched a fit and didn't go, and didn't let the girls go either...and now this! I swear, I hope my brother CUTS HER ASS OFF! They broke up before but are trying for the kids...but REALLY???? We spent the day talking about it yesterday (we both totally anticipate this would happen)...about how life is too short to not be happy. That if people do not compliment you or bring out the best in you...or have your back in life...that they are not the right ones. I love the kids (the girls are from her ex husband) and we've always treated the three of them the same. I know my bro is embarrassed...but he told my step mom that it is over. And that he is done w/ her! To be continued...I'll keep you posted. xoxooxxo

You said something interesting about how we know each other on a daily basis. I love that and it is so true. Haydee mentioned that in some ways we are closer than "real life" friends because of the daily conversations...and love. We are here for you; and each other!
