Hey Girls~ We had a great time at the Oct. Fest. Pix on FB if you wanna see! Today I made Chicken Cordon Blue in the crocker...pretty good...until the PB's (yes plural) came. Susanne liked it and I am enjoying ice cream. When I have the bad violet pbs ice cream makes the burning go away (true, not just in my head). Grading papers, relaxing, think a nappy poo is coming up... HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY! I like the weekdays better, we get more chatter in here!

Hey V's~ We had a great night w/ Jenny and Annette, and Lisa and Noel (they are a couple we've met once before). I really like them. Jenny made stuffed pasta shells, w/ turkey and artichoke hearts inside, in a light marinara. OMG THEY WERE SO GOOD! Well our free weekend has been relaxing and productive. I slept in until 7:30...ahhhh! Went to gym and did 30 on eliptical. I actually pushed myself and did 2.25 miles, where usually I do 2.10 in 30 min. If you know the eliptical...that is pretty cool. Susanne went to the HS and ran the track. Then we came home and cleaned up the poop from our #1 poopster! Spent some chillax time w/ the big guy in the back yard. Now we are showered, gonna grab a bite, go to Walmart...THEN WE ARE GOING TO THE OCTOBER FEST IN BIG BEAR LATER!!! Really looking forward to it. Good food, German beers, entertainment. Plus, Big Bear is cool...it is a mtn town about 2 hours away. Get to wear jeans for the first time since last Feb (last time I was cold). Anyway...that is the day. Ya'll have a great weekend. Morning Girlies~ Michelle, did you make that cup o' joe? That is cool. Here is my story: I can not keep my eyes open. I did not workout...the double workout day was the last one:( Hate that...but I can not go. I got home from mtg at 7:45, didn't go to sleep until 9:30 and just wanna curl up and go to bed. We have dinner plans w/ Jenny tonight...then a free weekend. Jane, Charlie is gonna be double pissed since he is the LAST to know. Keep us posted! Laura...hope the man child lets you type us up today...we miss you! Haydee...can't wait to see the shoes! I got two invitations this week for two weddings in Nov (one on the 14th and one on the 21st)! Can't wait to get yours! Did anyone raise their hand to scout out places for us? Hey Girls~ Man, that second workout kicked my ass yesterday. I was like melted butter all night, and my legs were sore and tight. I did not make it in this morning, just changed the alarm...and could go back to bed now. I think cause it took more to get through the workout...I am still not over it. But, I did it, and now know I can do it again! I will have to investigate the pressure cooker. I've "heard" of it...but never really knew what one was. I like the idea of a slow cooker in one...I don't have a lot of space in the kitchen, HATE MY KITCHEN! I have a long day today, and a meeting from 6-7! F*^%ing sucks. Hey girlies~ Guess what I did? Did you guess? I worked out this morning AND did 30 min on the eliptical after school too!!! :wink2::thumbup: That would be so awesome if I could keep it up! This morning I did weight training, because today is my dirty hair day. So, I wanted to do cardio this pm. It is sooo much harder in the pm. I've eaten food, the gym air is thicker, it is hot...and when you've been on your feet all day, your feet hurt bad. BUT I DID IT! OK, what is a pressure cooker? I've never heard of it. I hate soup, so if that is all they do, then I am out. Jane, keep us in the loop about the drama. Is Charlie a drama queen?? Michelle, I LOVED the pix. Claire looks happy as all get out, the the pic of the horse was funny. Glad you lunched w/ friends! Haydee, hope you don't get what Juan has. Hey Girls~ Man...busy again and in full swing! I got the book Push and worked all afternoon getting my papers graded so I could read it. Well, I finally finished about 8:15ish, and started my book. OMG...not for the faint at heart. Susanne came around the corner and I was bawling (only on pg. 12 at the time). It is written in authentic Afro-American dialect...and it is hard to swallow. By the second page, you "get" the dialect...but from the story you wish you didn't. I was up at 4:15am today so I could read a bit before I worked out, it is that POWERFUL. The movie will be called Precious, and is due out in Nov. But the book is called Push, written by Sapphire, an African American poet. I can not quite recommend it due to the horrible-ness of this girls life (e.g., she goes into labor with her father's baby when she is 12 because her mother is kicking her in the stomach and face). I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS STORY. On a brighter note...happy hump day! Hope all the girls are feeling good, enjoying life and doing their thang! I love you girls, and love popping in from work, even if I can't post. xoxoxoxo

Home from a wonderful trip! We had a BLAST! The park was full of gay folks, but not only...pretty funny. Gay folks were wearing red, and the poor bible thumpers that showed up all in red (to keep track of each other) were in for a shock. We were at the park from 10am-10pm...and were plum tuckered when we got home. Had a GREAT room at the Sheraton, although we were not in there long. Just got home from a book seach, breakfast and Nike store (yes again). Disney is about 100 miles away. Took the BMW which has the nav system...which is great cause it helps us avoid the traffic jams, etc. The book search is for a book called, "PUSH" by Sapphire. She is an African American poet who wrote the original book, PUSH that was now adapted for the movie called, Precious. This is gonna be an amazing and powerful movie, Oprah is producing it. It is about an overweight 16 year old who is pregnant with her second child and the "baby daddy" is her father! The first child, she had when she was 12 is called "Little Mongo" because he is a Mongloid child. Precious is repeatedly abused both physically and sexually; is overweight; and is hardly alive. Mariah Carey is the shrink who works with her. The book stores are out of the book (I went to two today, and my friend went to 3 this weekend)...but I got in from amazon and it was only like 8 bucks. Push is the original and Precious (book title) is the adaptation from the movie (which wont be out for a couple of weeks still). Precious (2009) - Movie Info - Yahoo! Movies Watching football, grading Walden papers and gonna make a pork loin later...life is good! Oh yeah, we are opening up some windows and doors in a bit, still too warm, but the evening will be loverly! xoox

Good morning Violets~ I lifted weights today...so I am 4 for 4 this week...all systems go for a 5 day workout week (provided I get my butt in there tomorrow)!!! YEAH ME! Had a great dinner last night. Made pork loin (in electric skillet), w/ mushrooms and gravy, spetzla (german noodles), and steamed zuccini! It was so good...I had a little of each and a ton of zuccs. Tonight we are going to a fundraiser for the school at (wait for it...) DENNY'S! I am sure I will get the nachos, cause they are the best and I live for them (plus they are way band friendly as they slide right through). I'll have a salad for lunch, which I have one everyday, and save room for the nachos. Going to my primary after school for a check up...then DENNY'S then home to get ready to go to DISNEYLAND! (don't laugh Michelle:lol:) I expect Mickey to be wearing a rainbow feather boa or I will be disappointed! Pop in later from work! xooxoxox

Hey Girls, We were 111 on Sunday...but are welcoming in a cold front and are going to be 99 today!!! Supposed to be 91 on Sunday! That is a huge drop in a week, but we'll take it! Did an hour weight lifting workout today because I have meeting today, and don't need to wash my hair, lol. Felt great...and I hope to be sore tomorrow. BusyBusy...love it.
